Onto the weekend & I’ve got a feeling Liverpool will drop points again. We have been far from convincing, esp in away games & if we don’t start finding some form soon we will be in a right battle just to stay top 4.
This is a tough away fixture & I don’t think we will win the way we have been playin. 1-2 or 2-2 is my prediction._____________________________

Yeh Hightown I’m with you re Solanke. The thing for me is I just don’t think he plays like a Klopp player & his style doesn’t suit our system. I could see him being a decent player at a mid table club but not at a club chasing the major silverware.

Yeah nine I used to love the Liverpool TT page but you can no longer have a debate on it, you either agree with a certain few posters or your wrong & the childish s*** starts. If they put up reasonable points of view you have to accept that, which I have no problem with, but no matter what reasons you give for your opinion it’s simply wrong. A little group of them hang on each other’s coat tails & it just destroys the site.

Cheers Mak, nice of you to say mate. I know who your referring to & there’s a few more as well for me. I can cop a different view & as I’ve said I’ve even changed my own view after some good points but some of them just can’t hack it when you don’t agree with them.

Started on TT about 10 years ago, loved engaging with like minded people to talk about the games. I may have got a bit excitable at times during games as it’s usually stupid o’clock over here when the games are on and I’m watching them on my own so I used to vent a lot.
Stopped posting on TT as there were quite a few that would twist everything you say in a debate, then some would start childish name calling etc. I get it’s only a forum but to me it’s like being a telephone tough guy because you know you’ll likely never have to face the person your having a chop at. It frustrates the s*** outa me.
I love the banter & chatting with like minded people and have often changed my views after reading some good points put forward but that’s becoming second to bull*** these days so I don’t post too much any more.
Oh and Brian, c$ty are going to win the EPL with games to spare mate :>))_____________________________

Adlab it’s sad mate but like you say sport is no longer what it was, they really are just businesses now days. Players don’t really give a toss who they play for & a lot of the time it appears they don’t really give a toss if they win or lose.
Over here in Oz where I live Rugby League is the biggest sport but you’ve got players jumping teams all over the place, even going to a so called bitter rivals club, they just don’t care. The only loyalty is from fans. It’s sad to see._____________________________

Adlab, your post further enhances the comments that C$ty will run away with it. Top of the league without your best player, you’ll only get better upon his return. Your squad is simply way too good with quality in depth. With ffp other teams can’t even get a sugar daddy to buy the top players any more so c$ty will probably dominate the foreseeable future as they only have to add a quality player or 2 each season to stay above the pack.

Alfie I think you’d struggle to find anyone to take that bet mate.
Mak I just cannot see us beating PSG away Or Napoli at home, they are an extremely well balanced & well drilled side. I think we will draw at home to them & lose at PSG which would put us in the dreaded Europa. Some keep saying our attack will click but I think Klopp is struggling to find a balance between defence & attack & we don’t have that link in midfield, too much same same in the middle IMO.
Anyway I need to forget c$ty running away with it & hope to see us go back to playing like last season. It’s great to be defending better but I think we are just scraping games & it won’t continue, I’d rather see us have a full on crack like last season, at least we were good to watch._____________________________

Brian difference was any one of them could win it, now c$ty are just streets ahead of everyone. You can say 2,3,4 or 5 other teams could win it but I think deep down everyone knows c$ty will win it comfortably. Yes LFC beat c$ty a few times last season but as you say it’s a squad game & with pretty much unlimited funds c$ty have simply bought a way better squad than everyone else & when you add a top manager it’s goong to take a lot more than luck to catch up.

Yeah Mak as I said last post it came across the wrong way. Outside c$ty it’s would indeed be a fascinating competition but they are just streets ahead of everyone else so the ultimate prize is already won IMO & I think anyone is kidding themselves if they think anyone else will win it. In that regard it takes the excitement out of it for me & I find it boring knowing they will skip away again.
They say we are the best chance of catching them but I don’t care what anyone says I don’t think we are playing well & I reckon it’ll start to catch up with us. I can see us dropping points in the near future. We have only beaten PSG out of the top teams we’ve played & I don’t think we will just all of a sudden find form like some do. I would be very surprised if we progress in the C/L but like 9 says maybe that is the only hope of anyone catching c$ty but I can’t see it._____________________________

Sorry lads a bit of bad wording there. The EPL is the most competitive league & outside c$ty it’s interesting, I meant it’s boring in that you knew before the season started who was going to win it. Anyone who thinks LFC or anyone else for that matter are “competition” for c$ty are kidding themselves. They simply have way too big a squad & as the season rolls on they will pull away. I’d love to see someone challenge them but it just won’t happen. They will have it wrapped up with games to spare.

Unfortunately Klopp took over LFC a few years too late, c$ty established their squad & are unbeatable over a season now. If Klopp came when Rogers did & c$ty we’re still buying every top player on the planet & building we might have had a chance. Sadly the EPL is no different to most other leagues where it’s a 1 horse race. Pretty boring now knowing who’s going to win a season before it begins. They’ll probably win the C/L as well but maybe Barca or Real can get them over the C/L format.

FFP is a joke, As a bloke said the other day football is like pretty much like every other sport in that it is 100% dominated by money. There is no loyalty other than supporters & only the rich will win. Sad but true, I used to love Boxing & Rugby League but they have also fallen victim to the money & I no longer enjoy them like I used to. Look at every “competition” in football, Germany Bayern will win it, England c$ty will win it, Scotland Celtic will win it, etc etc. The only one with any real competition is Spain with Real & Barca. I’ll jist settle for hitting the surf here in Oz & forget about “sport”, it’s no longer enjoyable for me.

Wow, we’ve lost our fire up front, our workman like midfield is just not up to it & our D is trying to carry the load. I keep hearing how we will hit form but I’ve got a feeling it’s not as simple as just hitting form all of a sudden. Maybe there is a bit of friction among the squad. Obviously no evidence & I don’t claim to have any inside info but the stories like Fabinho being unhappy, players not looking enthusiastic like last season I think there is something not right.
Ultimately we are fighting for a top 4 spot, you just can’t compete with c$ty & chel$ki are also above us. We are pretty much on par with Arsenal & Spurs. As for the C/L we can’t beat the big boys, in the we have only done well v Spurs this season with draws v the other big guns with our only top team win being v PSG & that won’t be happening again. I’d be amazed if we progress now, Napoli have us figured & we won’t beat PSG away.
Sorry to say but A minor cup will be our only chance of silverware, unfortunately our best team & manager in a long time are around in the moneybags era where we just can’t compete._____________________________

C$ty will once again win it with games to spare, 4 games to spare I predict. Laugh all you want but I still think manu will do more business & will again finish 2nd, they will once again be very difficult to break down/beat. Spurs will have a good season injury wise & will get 3rd. LFC will finish 4th with Fabinho taking a while to get up to speed & Salah getting an injury & then the team struggling as a result.

Brian: mate this diving shit has really made me lose my passion for the game. It is a bloody disgrace & embarrassment to football players. The problem is it is getting worse, it’s every f’in game. The commentators are defending it a lot of the time by saying things like “ he’s using his experience” & “it’s game management”. Bullshit, it’s pathetic & it’s cheating. I’m trying to get some mates into the football who are into rugby league & boxing & they just laugh at me. I have only watched highlights of the W/C because the 1st round was just a dive-a-thon & I couldn’t watch a full game. Neymar is as bad if not worse than Ronaldo used to be, he’s an absolute joke & a disgrace.
As I said I’m fast losing interest in football & they need to do something about this diving bullshit, it really is destroying the game IMO._____________________________

My f’in god I can’t take any more of this diving s**t. This great game is being destroyed by these embarrassing diving pretty boys that are an embarrassment to men across the world. I’ll only be watching the highlights on the sports section of the news from now on. Not exactly a glowing endorsement for the game these fools throwing themselves to the ground every time someone gets within their personal space.
