I havent forget spurs either but like us I don’t think hey have the depth to compete in a couple of major comps like the EPL & C/L. C$ty will get players back & go on a long winning streak, you can bet on that.

Spot on Sean me old mucker, like you I’ve seen us in this position before & it’s almost like I expect us to falter once again. To be fair we do look to be made of tougher stuff these days but with the quality c$ty have I fully expect them to overtake us with games to spare. No doubt we are in a great position & look good but it only takes a couple of games & it all changes. C$ty won’t stay in this slump for long & I’ll only believe we will win it when it’s almost mathematically impossible to lose it or we are very unlikely to lose it (you know what I mean).

Ed I don’t condone that crap either but a throw in rarely costs as much a a dive in the box for a penalty & frankly those who make excuses are a big part of why it continually happens. Start banning players that obviously dive & increase the ban for repeat offenders & you watch it reduce. I love the game but cannot stand what I see as the biggest blight on the game. As I said I’d hate to see some footballers in a crowd, slightest touch & down they’d go.

I don’t give a s*** who does it IMO if you dive you automatically get a ban. I absolutely detest it. I’ve tried getting some of my Rugby League mates into football & was having a bit of success when they were watching us bang in goals last season but as soon as the diving starts they just shake their heads & say how do you watch this s**+. It isn’t rocket science to see when a diver goes down unnaturally throwing their head back with all the theatrics & all these BS excuses like “oh the defender tugged his shirt” doesn’t wash with me. I’d hate to see some of these pussies in the mosh pit at a rock concert or any crowded place. You see participants in contact sports trying to hide injuries so their opponent doesn’t think they’re hurting yet football players try to convince refs etc they’re hurt. It’s bloody embarrassing.

A lot of games coming up in a short time now 9 & a couple of those against Arsenal & the big one against c$ty. Look at it like this, do you think c$ty will drop more points than Liverpool? All it takes is them to beat us at their ground & they’ll be in the box seat & we will be relying on someone else to take points from them whilst we don’t drop any. That’s even if we don’t drop points before then, which is very possible considering we play Arsenal.
No doubt we are looking strong & hard to beat but they are just another level IMO & they’ve been doing it without arguably their best player.

HAHA, threeps, as I said mate I believe we now have a steel we lacked in previous seasons but still convinced c$ty will eventually pull away & their superior quality in depth will prove too much. It’s unfortunate as this is the best state I’ve seen LFC in for many years, top manager, building a great spine & match winners to boot.
As for the game, great win in very difficult conditions where we once again showed great metal to see out a very important win. They’ve taken points off some top teams so that was a great win.

Sean that’s my reasoning as well, we bottled it that year & that’s not forgetting the Europa final which we were favourites for. I do think we have a bit more steel about us now but reality is the depth c$ty have is far superior, as it should be the money they’ve spent on it. We will see them drift off into the distance over the next couple of months.

Tough away game for us, Wolves are no pushover, esp at home & have taken points off top sides this season. That said we have a lot to play for & are showing more glimpses of last seasons form going forward so hopefully will have enough to get the cake.
Can’t see any real problems for any of the three teams up near the top & even predict a manu win.

There was no buts about the the manu game, the better team won.
Mak your spot on mate, over the course of the whole season I think we now have the steel & balance to finish above everyone BUT c$ty. It might not be this week or next but we will drop points & with c$ty playing pretty much all the big guns away I just cannot see them dropping less points than us. Look at it that way, do u think c$ty will drop more points than us over the rest of the season. Not a chance. As I’ve said many times c$ty just have too much quality in depth & will definitely win the EPL & probably the C/L as well.

LOL I’m getting there brother, I’m just about round the corner of belief & im looking at the home straight. We are definitely a very good side.
I’ll tell u where my reluctance to big us up comes from. That yr of the SG slip & how we crumbled at the last hurdle, I seen a young fella down the street with a Liverpool shirt on & I said “great shirt young fella”. His dad said “yeah he doesn’t wear it much, he’s a bit nervous or something”. I said “ mate we are going to win the title in a couple of weeks”. I was certain that was it, I was looking into buying flights & was heading over to celebrate in that awesome city. Damn I was p***** when we crumbled. I haven’t really had much confidence in us winning anything major since. I just haven’t thought we had the grit to do it. I’m getting closer now but unfortunately whilst we have our best squad & manager in a long time, we have the moneybags to compete with & they not only have a top manager, they have quality in depth no one else could dream of.

Feel really sorry for manu, no passion or drive from their players & a manager who is not really showing any ambition or idea of how to get the team going. Remember when we had old Roy in charge & they felt really sorry for us, yeah I feel that kind of sorry HAHAHAHAHAHA.

HH, not doom and gloom mate, just the usual moanino wrecking our vibe. Haven’t seen the game but absolutely chuffed with the result. From what I’m reading we pretty much dominated all over the pitch & got what we deserved. Reading moanino saying De gea would’ve saved the goals if not for the deflection but didn’t mention their goal was from a keeper shocker, otherwise they didn’t really look like scoring from what I can gather.
As for having faith mate, I am believing that we have a steel about us that we haven’t had for many moons & we still possess enough in attack to be competitive v anyone. That said I do believe we do not quite have the quality in depth of c$ty & fully expect them to win the EPL with games to spare. Hopefully we will push them most of the way though.

One thing I’m more than certain about is we won’t win easily. As I said I don’t think we will win at all but if we do it won’t be easy.
We are now entering the time of the season where the quality of depth in your squad plays its part & I predict this busy time is where c$ty will run away with it so I don’t think there’s any worry about challenging for the title, we are fighting to get as high as we can in the top 4 but it won’t be 1st, I’m more than confident of that. That’s not being negative that’s just reality, you’ll see come the end of Jan, it’ll all but be wrapped up for the moneybags.

Ed, c$ty tried to come at us & got done more than once last season, it’s be suicide if you lot did & I certainly don’t expect it to happen. Point I’m making is you lot seem to me to play that way more often than not & I don’t get it, you have some outstanding attacking players that should put most teams away with attacking football. As more moanino talking about what Liverpool spend, he has obviously forgot the millions upon millions he wasted in recent seasons.
Anyways, nothing can convince me we will win this game, I predict a draw but hope it won’t be a loss, all things considered I just can’t see us breaking the duck in this one.

Damn that last post was screwed up, bloody predictive text. Especially against the top teams you play defensive, don’t know how that came out as it did.
It’ll be a draw folks, if we go ahead they will come out & play & with our defensive injuries I can see them scoring. If they go ahead it’ll be one hell of a battle to equalize as they will sit everyone behind the ball. Here’s hoping we go ahead so it’ll at least be ok to watch.

Ed, Must admit I don’t watch a great deal of manu so I may well be talking out my proverbial but from what I have seen you need to go behind before you start playing, unless of course your playing the top teams & you do it from the get go. That baffles me as you have some outstanding attacking players. That is the difference between this game & the c$ty game for me anyway. On the whole c$ty attack pretty much everyone & Liverpool did last season as well. Regardless I still see nothing but a draw for this game.
