Nine my point is they’ve been without a number of top players for a while yet are only just behind a team that’s had its best ever start to a season, losing only once just after the new year. The bottom line is They cope with injuries better than anyone because they’ve bought depth that no one else can afford & that’s why they’ll more than likely win the EPL again & probably a couple of cups

Cheers BB, I thought it might hold more than that to be honest. Regardless of how they got their or what people say, c$ty have recently been a dominant club in the toughest competition in the world & it’s only a matter of time until they win the C/L.
I agree with what Threeps said, the real fan is being driven away. When I went to Anfield I was expecting an unreal atmosphere as it was a cat1 game v Arsenal but I was really disappointed. Talking to a couple of locals they said the fans that would sing & chant all game have been with those that sit there & golf clap whilst saying nothing. I know BB & others think money has made it better but I think it’s destroying sport.

Haha nine what do you mean c$ty couldn’t cope with eir injuries, they are 4 points behind us after our best EVER start to a season. Any other club gets injuries to a couple of their top players over an extended period & they certainly aren’t close to a team that’s had 1 loss. Liverpool lose VVD Salah or Mane we are screwed, they were without 5 or so of their top players at once & look where they are.
No one can match them for quality in depth, they’ve spend unbelievable money & it’s pretty much guaranteed they will be at the top of the table just about every season.

I wouldn’t count manu out of a top 4 finish, 6 points is nothing with nearly half a season to go & they are playing with a bit of freedom now.

Mav I agree you lot have the squad to compete with anyone it was just Mr anti football stifling the team. Should be interesting when we come there, I think we can still beat you at your joint as your D still isn’t great & Spurs missed a lot of chances but I wouldn’t put any hard earned on it. No result bar a flogging would surprise me.

As for being a big club, it’s all about what titles you win so I guess you could say their insane investment over many seasons HAS made them a big club.

Threeps, The luck comment was more over the season than that game, we’ve had a bit for a change this season (finally, I’m certainly not complaining). I thought we got the rub of the green with a few 50/50 calls but not the pen, I thought that was a pen. If you read the whole post & just don’t pick what you want you’ll actually see I said I thought we deserved to win.
I get you don’t like how I say c$ty will win it, just like I don’t like how some were going mad about our chances of winning the title half way through the season but save your personal dislikes for the TT pages mate, they fit in better over there.

1st big test for manu & passed with flying colours, they’ll be very very hard to beat in a couple of weeks.
As for LFC another tough & very important win, yeah we might have got a bit of the rub of the green but I still think we deserved to win overall. Keeps the pressure on c$ty & whilst I don’t think they’ll falter we certainly look like making them work for it. We have a steel about us now & hopefully that will carry on as the season winds up. They say you need some luck to win the title & we are getting a bit, I just hope it doesn’t run out any time soon.

Gday Nil, hope your well mate. I don’t get calling it doom & gloom if I don’t expect us to win anything. I’d say pretty much everyone expected c$ty to win the EPL before the season started so is everyone all doom & gloom. I obviously would love to see LFC win every game but I’m not suicidal if we don’t, I don’t stop enjoying life. I just call it as I see it. Fact is c$ty have a much bigger quality squad than anyone as they spent insane money for many years so you’d expect them to wear everyone down over the course of a season. I don’t call that doom & gloom, I call that reality. Yes I regularly say that to the annoyance of some, but some were getting way ahead of themselves predicting titles etc only half way through the season.
As I said if we went back to heavy Matal footy I’d love it as we were great to watch, win lose or draw. Go down swinging. Anyhow off to work, have a good day/night.

Sean I think your spot on re c$ty pulling away now. They stayed in touching distance of us after we had our best ever start whilst missing 4 or 5 of their best players & that’s the difference between them & the rest, their depth. Now they have these players back they will sail off into the distance, as you’d expect them to.
That being the case I don’t think it’ll be this game, I fancy us to get the points here, the lads will be fired up after 2 losses & will want to get back on track. I’d love to see us go back to heavy matal footy, lets go down to the moneybags swinging.

No probs at all with the team Klopp put out, he’s trying to compete on numerous fronts & unfortunately the FA cup is the least important of those.
Threeps I just call it as I see it mate, no point sugar coating it. People were going nuts when we were 7 ahead of c$ty with them to play at their joint & only half way through the season. I reckon pretty much everyone on here expected c$ty to win the EPL this season so it’s not like it’ll be surprising if/when they do win it. No one has their depth, simple as that. I’m not upset or angry, sport nowadays is a case of who spends wins. Win lose or draw I love watching LFC play & i’d really love to see us go back to heavy metal football, those games were awesome to watch but I understand why we can’t always play that way.
Anyhow, surfs up gotta go.

Man I’ve been banging on about quality in depth for ages & whilst others were talking of winning stuff after our great start I always knew over the course of a full season we would not be able to maintain the rage so to speak. 2 losses in a row, admittedly 1 with a severely weakened squad but mark my words mate, c$ty WILL win the EPL,probably the FA cup & C/L to go with it. This is just how it is. They’ve built a squad spending insane money over numerous seasons & are streets ahead of everyone else. Some saying Liverpool spend big as well but we’ve done it a couple of times & are still miles behind c$ty.
Watch his space folks, I’ll say I told you so later ?

I’m certainly not angry or upset, I never had expectations we would win the EPL. c$ty have accumulated a squad over many seasons that no one can match & spent an unprecedented amount of money in the process so them being leaders has always been a matter of when not if. Over the course of a season they were always going to round us up. Yes we are 4 points ahead but as I’ve said many times it won’t last. I just hope we go back to heavy matal football, it’s awesome to watch & we might as well go down swinging.

Mikus mate this is why I’m never confident. I get put on the negative all the time but in recent times when the heat is on we crumble, Title challenge 2014, Europa final are 2 examples. I’ll tell you now that will give c$ty the confidence & momentum to really push on, I honestly think they will go undefeated until seasons end. How our lads react will be interesting, hopefully we don’t crumble under pressure like we have done in previous seasons.
