banjo, opposition fans especially Liverpool fans hated Costa and the majority of Chelsea fans whilst acknowledging Costa as a great striker would have driven him to the Airport in the end.

Vinnie once got booked from kick off for kicking a Sheffield United player up in the air Dean Whitehouse I believe.

“When Wise went up to lift the FA Cup I was there” was was disliked by most opposition fans I think it was lifting all those Cup that did it and John Terry and Ashley are a no contest.

All bar Vinnie we’re great players for Chelsea I met JT a few times and despite all the tales he came across as a good lad and was great with the fans.

Great post Ed and absolutely spot on.

I don’t think there’s too much love lost between Mourinho and Conte but this is just a typical Mourinho smoke screen which papers over the last two United performances, gets the focus off his tactics v Liverpool and has a poke at Conte too.

Personally I think Conte should have laughed it off rather than respond but it was Jose at his best and the media’s lapped it up.?

Last season mate. But Jose doesn’t complain about injuries and I never heard him do it once when he was at Chelsea.

banjo, I think a good season for Spurs would be a decent run in the CL a domestic Cup and securing another top 4 place. All possible imo.

Jim, whatever the result for City at Anfield this season mate I’m convinced that City have enough in their lockers to win the PL quite comfortably.

It’s not won yet of course but City look more than a class above any potential challengers. And that’s before Sanchez arrives.?

Not the usual steam rolling by City but I think Jim’s right it was the same team as Saturday’s and fatigue was probably an issue. Still a win though v a very good Napoli team.

Excellent results all round in the CL last night. Spurs v Liverpool this weekend could be a cracker now Liverpool have found their shooting boots. I thought overall Spurs were very impressive last night.

Hightown, Personally I think Klopp could have been a bit more adventurous in the final 30 odd minutes of the game when it only looked like Liverpool would win but I can understand why he wasn’t a loss to United would have been hard to take.

Whether it was a good point for United or not we won’t know until the end of the season and if City were to go to Anfield and win which is not impossible instead of a point gained for United it would be 2 points lost. Cheers 999

Hightown, I think you’re right this season it may not be but if Liverpool were to beat City at Anfield which is definitely not impossible it could be a very good point.

I think Mourinho went into the game hoping for all three points but happy to leave with a point. If you offered Guardiola a point at Anfield now my bet is that he would take it.

You can say what you want mate but Klopp is on record as saying he didn’t go for it in the latter part of the game because he didn’t want to risk ending up with no points. No recognised striker until the 80th minute at home was disappointing imo because had Klopp been a bit more adventurous Liverpool could have won that game.

A point gained for United or two points lost we’ll have to wait and see.

3 nil to City? Aren’t Napoli going to play a shadow side because they’re leading Serie A and playing Milan at the weekend.

Shame this game clashes with the Real v Spurs game as I would have liked to watch both live. Tbh and I know it’s heresy but I’m really enjoying watching City this season.

Oz tbh actually I don’t like Mourinho very much but I do respect him as being a great tactician and a winning football Manager.

Klopp admitted in his post match interview that he didn’t go for it because he didn’t want to end up with nothing and tbh imo he’s not been at his usual effervescent best over the past few weeks and I think the pressure has been getting to him a bit and he wanted to avoid all the pressures that would have come on him had United broken away and won that game had he gone for it.

A point at Anfield in most seasons would be considered a good point and it might still well be if that point is the difference between United beating City to the title. Personally in this season I’m not sure it will be with this City team.
