Good Spurs performance albeit significantly helped by some dreadful Liverpool defending and Goalkeeping which sets next Saturday’s game v United at OT very nicely.
We’ve been here so many times with Liverpool now and if I was a Liverpool fan I would be significantly worried that Klopp in over two years into the role Liverpool are as bad if not worse defensively than they were when he took over.
Liverpool need a quality Keeper plus at least one centre back probably two but I’m not sure just changing the personell will work Klopp seems to have a blind spot for the defensive side of the game and a defensive Coach might be needed too. Sammy Hypia perhaps?

Very entertaining game for the neutral 3-1 at ht on the back of some really poor defending by Liverpool. But the first half has flown by. You would think there are more goals to come in this game and letting the third goal in so close to ht after getting a foot in the game will have hit Liverpool hard.

I did predict 2 all. I think I might have gone too low .?

Arsenal should never have got themselves in the position they have with two key players in the last year of their contract.
I don’t think Arsenal will let both Sanchez and Ozil go in January but they were prepared to sell Sanchez in the summer for £60m and they either sell one or both in January or lose 10’s of millions of £’s.
I think there’s every chance that Arsenal will sell Sanchez for circa £30m in January rather than lose both players to a free in the Suummer but time will tell.

22nd October 2017 at 3:08 pm in reply to: Poll- Who will be the next Premier League Manager to go? #6482Koeman looks in trouble 1-3 down to Arsenal and down to 10 men but I don’t think bringing Moyes back is the answer either. Worrying times for Evertonian’s.

banjo, can you imagine how good they will be in January when they sign Sanchez?

banjo, all about opinions mate and it would be boring if we all saw things the same way.
The title will only end up in Manchester this season imo and almost certainly in the blue half of Manchester, City are a country mile ahead of everybody else currently and if Pep goes past his current contract and City continue to invest at the levels they have this summer given what they already have I think they might well dominate the PL title over the next 5 years like United did under Fergie.
Revised title odds tomorrow.?

Jim, I understand where you’re coming from mate and I would be saying the same but hand on heart across so many parameters City are ahead of everyone else by a country mile.
Of course it’s not a done deal after 9 games but imho the only team that can beat City are City themselves and I don’t think that will happen.

I think a handicapping system needs to be introduced.?

And if Liverpool were to beat Spurs tomorrow then realistically Spurs would be out of the title race too.
But whatever the results tomorrow I really can’t see anyone catching City they have the best Manager, the best team, the best squad, the most points, the best goal difference at + 28 which is probably worth another point v all certainly from Spurs down and City will probably sign Sanchez in the January window too and the latest title odds when they are released will only reflect all of that together with where people are putting their money.
Huddersfield beating United demonstrates that nothing in football is certain which is what makes it such “a funny old game Saint”. ?

Ed, at the very least Watford deserved a point and even just a point would probably be tough on them. What a job Silva has done there.
But I agree with you based where Chelsea are currently Chelsea showed real character picking Watford’s pocket for the points.
First weekend in a while that I can sit back and enjoy the rest of the games.

Liverpool need to remain strong defensively and not make any silly mistakes.
I was really impressed with Spurs v Real and if they put in a performance on or close to that it will make life very tough for Liverpool.
But Liverpool are very good offensively and if they are strong defensively they have every chance of taking something from the game.
I’m going for a 2-2 draw. Really looking forward to this game tomorrow.

Tough on Watford who I thought we’re fabulous.
We dug that win out after some poor defending and some poor passing. Big hearts though and some good substitutions by Conte.
Back in the title race? Nah but hopefully back in the race for a CL place.

Me neither Jim and I think it was a mistake for Conte to respond on Wednesday he should have just laughed it off which is pretty much what he did today in his press conference.
Only benefit I can see for Jose is it masks the criticism of United’s tactics v Liverpool from the media who are now more focussed on Jose’s pokes at Conte.
A good win for United at Huddersfield and I’m sure we’ll see something different from Jose. But Jose never disappoints with such things.

Prize is on its way to Paul Power.?
I can’t understand why Jose is so focussed on Chelsea, Conte and Chelsea aren’t who Jose needs to be worrying about this season it’s Pep and City he needs to focus on.
