Blimey in the midst of all this Girona a truly beautiful Catalan city beat Real Madrid 2-1.
Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised Girona is owned by Manchester City. Pep a proud Catalan will be smiling again tonight.?

nb,ha,ha, I remember when you were a City fan. By the way Holstein Pils haven’t sponsored Spurs since 2002.?
Massive task for even Spurs to catch City who are 8 points ahead which with goal difference is effectively 9 points.
Re your last post above as to why Pep gets the positive press he does v the negative press Jose gets the reason is that Pep sets us teams up to play attacking football whilst Jose takes a more pragmatic approach.
I suspect when City go to Liverpool they won’t be set up as defensively as United were the other week.
To be fair to Jose his pragmatic approach has been very successful previously in winning titles whether it will work this season is a matter of conjecture because this City team are at a different level certainly offensively to any team we’ve seen in the PL in a while.

4 Chelsea players started for England today and a 5th came on. One of them Callum Hudson Odoi turns 17 on November 7th and has been at Chelsea since 2007 I think he’s got a real chance of making it.

nb, a shame City didn’t drop points?
Liverpool aren’t really chasing City far far too much to make up against a City side who are flying. 12 points which is effectively 13 with the goal difference.Bar possibly United nobody is.

You don’t want to lose games like those conceding silly goals defensively like that.
It may have been a different outcome had Kane been on the end of that Dele Alli chance.
It keeps United on City’s coat tails but without City mess it up themselves I can’t see anyone catching them.

I don’t buy the conspiracy theory but not for the first time the draw was handled really badly and there’s no room in the game imo for pre recorded draws.
The draw should be live either on TV or the radio and shouldn’t be drawn by Rugby players and Cricketer’s.

How many would be on this site if they didn’t enjoy the game?
There’s some good responses from the lads on here to the question and as others have intimated nobody has a right to win anything just because they were dominant 30 odd years ago.
The PL is even more entertaining now it’s gone from a couple of teams competing for the title to potentially 4 or 5 which has made things even more exciting imo, it’s great to see Spurs in there competing for the title over the last couple of seasons and you can’t but admire the job Pochetino has done at Spurs.
Liverpool in attacking mode when their tails up are a joy to watch with Klopp jumping around on the touchline and City are playing glorious football under Pep and United are slowly but surely clawing their way back under Mourinho then there’s the topsy turvy world of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal and I haven’t even mentioned Chelsea.? What’s not to enjoy?
As Fergie’s Time rightly says there are more important things in life than football and anyone who doesn’t get that should go and spend some time at an Oncology Hospital it’s all about keeping a “balance” and we all need to be able to do that.

Mikus, I like Klopp and he’s been s breath of fresh air since coming to the PL be great to see him succeed with his we’ll score more goals than you philosophy.
Personally I think he might well become a tad more pragmatic going forwards I certainly wouldn’t rule out him ultimately getting it right.

Kane is a big miss for Spurs. Shame to lose such a top player from these contests ideally you want to see both sides at full strength.

Ed, not too much of the easy draw for United.?
Christmas is coming and the Robins are flying high and looking to poop on Jose’s head at the Gate. ?

Mikus, I think it all comes down to Klopp having a defensive blind spot and a desire to focus on attack with a philosophy of if you score 2 or 3 goals we’ll score 3 or 4.
Wanting to make Liverpool “the most together group possible” sounds like a Mike Bassett sound byte. It all sounds like smoke and mirrors to me mate and I can’t see too many buying in to it inc ultimately Fenway.
Football Managers stand or fall by their success if Klopp doesn’t solve the defensive deficiencies he wont be successful and he will fall.
