Someone should have told David Moyes that it’s unwise to poke the Tiger. ?

Jim, tbh mate I don’t read the Sun and haven’t a clue what they claimed Pep said seemingly they got a lip reader involved.
All a storm in a tea cup as far as I’m concerned and Pep got it right imo in acknowledging his mistake.
Perhaps there should be a rule preventing Managers entering the field of play full stop they all do it. Cheers 999

Brian, Pep has said he regrets the incident and went on to say “I cannot control myself. I have to do that, hopefully I can improve.”

It’s not really about the Sun though is it.
I’m a massive Guardiola fan but whatever was said should Guardiola have been saying it on the pitch after a very tense ending to the game in the way that he did to another clubs player.
In fairness Guardiola has said today that he regrets the incident saying: “I cannot control myself. I have to do that, hopefully I can improve.”

banjo, injuries aside it’s a strange one because Mourinho wanted to sign him for Chelsea.

Chelsea could do a lot worse than take a punt on Shaw for Β£20m.
Chelsea need another left wing back and I think left wing back is a position that suits Shaw’s attributes better he’s also a Kingston lad and a Chelsea fan from a boy too.
Only problem is his injury record but at Β£60m for Sandro versus Β£20m for Shaw personally I would have a go for Shaw in January

Sean, the worrying thing is not whether Mignolet should or shouldn’t have been sent off last night it’s the inconsistencies of the officials that we continue to see week in week out.
Refs getting the narrow decisions wrong is forgivable but dead certs like last night is unforgivable. Atkinson should be stood down for a bit now imo.

Only just seen the Mignolet incident.I think he can count himself a lucky boy it was a definite red sadly there just seems no consistency from the officials on key decisions.

Banjo, it’s a blip mate. Spurs will be in the mix for a CL place when we enter the straight next April.

Jim, I’m sure that the overall developments in Sterling’s game is down to Pep’s coaching. Sterling is a much better player now playing under Pep. Good news for England too.

Really pleased for Unsworth finishing off with a 4 nil win. And a hat trick for Rooney one of them a worldie from beyond the half way line. Form is temporary class is permanent.
And Big Sam is not even in the dug out yet.
City dig out a win in the 96th minute. That’s what Champions do.
And a win for the blues too even without Conte pacing the line, and big win for Liverpool at Stoke and an even bigger win for Arsenal at home to Huddersfield.

Alderwierald would be a miss for anyone but last night’s goals by Leicester would have gone in whoever was playing and whichever team Leicester were playing they were that good.
Lamella returning to fitness could help Spurs,I think Paxton is right about the lack of creativity even with Eriksen and Alli’s goals have dried up but I’m sure he’ll come again.

There will need to be a significant turn around in Dele Alli’s form to get anywhere near the kind of fee being talked about last season.

Some really good stuff on this thread.
If you’re a football fan even a fan of one of the top clubs you have to come to terms with the fact that there will be more heartache than joy and when the joy comes along you have to savour it because more than likely it will be fleeting.
Chelsea went 50 years without a League title , Spurs have gone over 50, City over 40 even United went nearly 30 years and in over 30 years Arsenal won one title and next year they will have gone 14 years since the last one.
Every club has a history it’s just that some club’s histories aren’t quite as glorious as others and history is history Preston North End were once League Champions but they’ve been stuck in the 2nd,3rd and 4th tiers since.
There are 10’s of millions of football fans out there who will never ever experience the joy that fans of City,United,Chelsea,Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool will have experienced.
We all need to savour those special fleeting moments and heed Chucky’s wise words.
” All I ask from my boys is A) they at least look like they gave 110% and B) we didnβt lose due to a βcontroversialβ incident. Got no problem losing to a better team on the day and like to think Iβm man enough to admit that at the time.”

It’s all down to all three of the panel agreeing Jim. Which for whatever reason they didn’t on the Lukaku situation.
