Some interesting rumours floating around allegedly Real looking to start their rebuilding process want Dybla from Juve but that looks like a Summer move should it happen to me.
Chelsea allegedly looking to use Batshuiya as a make weight in a deal for Lemar from Monaco with Sturridge linked with a return to Chelsea to replace Batshuiya???
I’m not sure tbh very difficult to do sensible transfer business in January.

Maverick, fitting that City took the all time record for cumulative wins tbh the only two things that might prevent City going through the PL unbeaten this season are going deep into the CL and I think they may well do that and by winning the PL with plenty of games to spare which I think they will do too.
City could be so far ahead in the PL by March/April that City may be able to afford to rest some of their big players ahead of the big CL games and if the PL title is won with half a dozen games to go they may unknowingly slack of a bit too that can often happen to teams that win the title with plenty of games to spare.
But City are certainly capable of going a whole PL season unbeaten. I only watched the highlights but Silva looked amazing last night he’s one of my favourite all time PL players. Cheers 999

Maverick, you wouldn’t write it off mate.
banjo, there’s a wide body of opinion in the media and among pundits that Real are not the side they were and there will need to be and will be some drastic actions taken in the summer.
That doesn’t make Spurs a better or a worse team when you beat Real and I said weeks ago when you started this off that I rate the current Spurs team very highly.
Keep it Real!?

15 wins on the bounce for City following their 4 nil away versus Swansea. Respect.

CMan, imo we’re definitely good enough to secure a top 4 spot and who knows what might happen in January but it won’t be easy and there’s no room for complacency as it’s still 4 from 6. Cheers 999

“I think when you tell the truth, this is the truth. Now we have 14 points less than Manchester City. They have won 15 games and drew one. Instead in 17 games we lost four games.
When you have a competitor like Manchester City that every game they are winning it is very difficult to think you can fight for the title. Because, βyou are negative, positive, you think negativeβ, itβs bullsh*t, bullsh*t!
You must be realistic, we must be realistic. I would rather tell the truth, than a good lie. I am this way. Sometimes I can be too honest, but I like to speak very honest with my players with our fans also.
It doesnβt mean that we donβt try to catch them. But we have to hope we have a big, big slip and then for us to win every game in this league. This league is very difficult and every game you have to put 120 per cent of yourself, otherwise you risk to lose or draw and to drop points.
In your league when you have a team that have 16 games and 15 wins and draw one game it is not simple to think in a positive way.
In the last nine games we won seven games, drew against Liverpool and lost one game, but despite this we are now 11 points (away) and they play tomorrow, so the distance might be the same, 14 points.
They are having a fantastic path, but at the same time we must go game by game and get three points for our table. This league is very difficult, there are six teams to fight for the title and the Champions League and the Europa League.
We have to look at our ourselves and to improve and have this type of game, because I enjoyed to watch my players play this football.β
β Antonio Conte

12th December 2017 at 7:51 pm in reply to: Champions League last 16 draw & poss oponents for our teams #8749Personally I think there’s probably more chance of Conte leaving in the Summer than staying.
Conte is clearly unhappy about how transfers have been handled at Chelsea and it’s hazy as to how they might be handled in the future and he didn’t get one of his first choice targets in the summer contrast that with Pep who seemingly got all of his targets last Summer and seemingly has more power in that sector than Conte currently has. All of that is why Conte got frustrated and left Juve who were his club.
It’s not a definite yet much will depend on whether the club tie down both Hazard and Courtois to new contracts prior to the World Cup and how the structure and the transfer strategy evolves following Emenalo’s departure and how much more say Conte gets in it.
January is historically a very difficult month to do good transfer business but if the club were to provide Conte with one or two of his targets this January sign Hazard and Courtois to extended contracts and give Conte much more of a say on who comes in then he might well sign a new extended contract himself too if not then sadly we probably need to part company as a Manager committed to only one year on his contract wont attract the best players in the Summer.
As for Carlo I think it’s a case of 2 and 2 making 4 he’s currently out of work was previously at Chelsea and is available at a time when there is much conjecture as to whether Conte will stay on at Chelsea. Personally I think Carlo was sacked too early at Chelsea,is a lovely man and a successful Manager but I also think he is too soft too nice and question the wisdom of going back but he’s available and if Conte leaves you wouldn’t rule it out.

12th December 2017 at 4:40 pm in reply to: Champions League last 16 draw & poss oponents for our teams #8727CMan, great news mate and you definitely shouldn’t stop posting on here the Ed is a too top bloke and the site as it continues to develop is a reflection of him and deserves to be successful and if it continues to get really good lads like you on to the site alongside all the really great posters that are already here that will hopefully drive it even further forward.
As you have seen from the Chelsea site over the last couple of days you’re loved and respected on there and there’s another nice post re you this pm from Stevo who as you know is a Gooner.
Keep talking to James he’s a very good and fair minded guy and get back on the Chelsea site asap it needs you. Kind Regards Nine Nine,Nine.

12th December 2017 at 1:30 pm in reply to: Champions League last 16 draw & poss oponents for our teams #8722CMan, last post from me on this subject.
I’ve been canvassing James on your behalf I don’t believe those offensive posts were from you they weren’t the Chelseaman I’ve come to know on the Chelsea site and from James’s latest post on the subject yesterday he is open to you coming back and I hope you do for two reasons firstly however it happened I don’t believe those posts came from you and secondly you are a much loved and respected poster on the Chelsea site and you will be missed by your Blue Brothers.
I remember just a few months ago when I was having problems getting on the Chelsea site how you tried to Moderate the forum to keep everything level headed on there and you did a great job and showed how much you care about the site.
Chelseaman I really want you to talk to James and sort this out. That doesn’t mean you not posting on here because I think you will be a brilliant addition to the site it’s because you will leave a big hole on the Chelsea site and ultimately I think you will miss not interfacing with your fellow Chelsea posters on there. Very Best Regards Nine,Nine,Nine.
ps Sincere apologies to the Ed and all on here for bringing Chelsea forum issues to Footydebate but it’s the only way I could think of of making contact with Chelseaman.
