Pagan, as the bans become more common place and increase it will carry a stigma. But players will always try to on no matter who they play for.

Chelsea through to the Semi Finals. Bris’ol putting in a magnificent effort and could well take United to extra time.

Brilliant experience at Ashton Gate for my Grandsons to see so many of the United stars on the pitch.

Let’s face it all this calling out of opposition players for diving is pointless every club have players who dive point the finger on a Wednesday night and on Saturday or Sunday it will be one of your own who will go over too easily.

Retrospective action is the only way to deal with it unfortunately currently there has to be 100% agreement from a 3 man panel for a player to be charged with diving.

It will take time to get it right but going forwards perhaps a majority decision would be better.

CMan, personally I wouldn’t accept anything less than £150m for Hazard from Real.

Maverick, £70m for Van Dijk and £90m for Hazard would be funny if it wasn’t so silly.

Whoever at the Sun who wrote that article about Hazard to United for £90m must have been drinking to much Vino at the Sun Christmas party!?

CMan, just my personal preference mate beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.? Isco is a bit more midfield than a wide offensive player to me.

Tbh I would happily take either of them if the worst came to worst as I said they are both good players. Cheers 999

Cman, if we have to let Hazard go to Real and I still hope we won’t and that Hazard will extend his contract again I would favour Asensio over Isco he’s more like for like and he’s already said he doesn’t want to stay at Real if Hazard comes. But both are great players and £100m plus one or other would soften the blow. Cheers 999

Ed, crazy isn’t it. I suspect if Hazard doesn’t sign a new contract extension with two years left on it from next Summer Chelsea will sell him to Real for a lot more than £90m.

Maverick, I’ve lost count of the players Chelsea have been linked with in this window.?

I would be pleased but very surprised if we make any significant signings in this window but we’re sitting on the Costa money.

Interestingly the viewimg figures for SPOTY were 9.4 million and I suspect the BBC will be happy with that and wont be looking to give the event away to anyone else. Doesn’t mean that it can’t be improved though and I’m sure the BBC will be looking to do that.

I love Aguero as a player but circa £80m for a player who will be 30 before next season starts sounds a tad optimistic imo even for a player as good as Sergio.

But given the crazy transfer market I guess you can never say never.

January is historically a very difficult transfer window and there’s a dearth of talent anyway and if a top player does become available it’s likely that a number of the big hitters will be in for them pushing up prices still further.

Personally I’m not holding my breath in respect of Chelsea successfully buying any top players this January although I would be delighted to be proved wrong.

The nominations for SPOTY are put together by an independent panel and then the viewers vote for who in their opinion is the most deserving.

Personally I wouldn’t have been against O’Sullivan being nominated but until that happens nobody can vote for him or indeed other Sporting favourites

Farrah has been an outstanding track athlete as his record confirms and he has now left the track in favour of Marathon running.

I suspect the nomination and the votes for Farrah were based on his outstanding achievements as a track Athlete with another World Championship won in the Summer and him retiring from track Athletics to concentrate on Marathon running.

Farrah was nominated by the independent panel and perhaps somewhat surprisingly he got the most votes from the viewers when Anthony Joshua was the favourite.

Farrah has just returned from living and training in the US and his wife is still out there still sorting things out whilst he is back in the UK allegedly his son was ill which is why he wasn’t in Liverpool when ideally he should have been.

Like Benni I’m not sure the programme hasn’t run out of legs currently and at the very least it probably needs a bit of a revamp if not perhaps it has run its course.

Maverick, I’ve known CM a while.?

The opinion on City seems to be split between probably one of the best sides we’ve seen in the PL, they’re good but not as good as a number of United teams,Jose’s first Chelsea team and the Arsenal invincibles and City are good but they’ve won nothing yet and under Pep that’s currently true.

As I said yesterday beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and worryingly for the rest of us if Guardiola signs a new contract I think the first opinion of City will be proved correct and we’ll all be chasing them for the next few years. Cheers 999

Chelsea being linked to Zaha who I would take in a heart beat, he’s ready now for a move to a top 4 club and staying in London and very close to his South London roots would be good for him just 20 miles between Cobham and Croydon.

But I can’t see it happening certainly not in January whilst Palace are still chasing safety in the PL.
