Jim, me neither mate but the press picked it up and wrote a story on it with loads of pics. Apparently Isco and Morata are very close having grown up together playing for the Spanish national team through all the ages. Cheers 999

From today’s Independent “Eden Hazard has had initial talks with Chelsea about a new contract, although no formal offer is expected for some time, and there is a โrelaxationโ on all sides despite his fatherโs comments about rejecting an extension early on Friday.
Thierry Hazard had told Belgian paper Le Soir that the 26-year-old had turned down an offer because he wants to eventually go to Real Madrid. The Independent has been told that no offer has yet been made and while Hazard is obviously tempted by the Bernabeu, the situation isnโt quite so clean cut.
Hazard would clearly be open to an offer, but it is understand he would be most engaged by the opportunity to work with one of his heroes in Zinedine Zidane, above even playing for Real. Since his current deal runs until 2020, and there is already so much uncertainty about Zidaneโs medium-term future despite winning successive Champions Leagues, the Belgian and his camp are aware not to get too attached to such an idea. They are also conscious of the fact that โ as with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois โ Real have made their interest known on repeated occasions in the past, only to then pursue other targets with much more vigour.”

Jim, both Isco and Morata have tweeted loads of pics of their time together over the last few days on Facebook and it’s been picked up by the press. Visits to Camden Market etc.

We might all be jumping the gun , there’s been no contact from Real and a Chelsea club official has confirmed no new contract has been offered to Hazard yet because it’s not club policy to offer new contracts when there is more than two years left on the existing contract?
Personally I think there’s no smoke without fire but the fact is with two and a half years left on Hazards contract Chelsea are in the driving seat if any deal is going to get done and that if Hazard does eventually go to Real next summer it will be for a massive fee breaking the British transfer record and it might well include a Real player that suits Chelsea coming the other way.
I wouldn’t take Bale as a makeweight as good as he has been he’s too old his game is reliant on speed which diminishes with age and injuries and he is now far too injury prone.
The only two Real players Chelsea should consider as part of the deal imo are Isco and Asensio both of whom are close to Morata, Isco and his girlfriend having spent the last few days with Morata and his wife in London.
If Madrid aren’t prepared to offer those players as part of the deal then they will have to stump up the full very significant fee.
I’m not sure this is the best time for Hazard to be joining Real though they are in significant decline and are likely to end the season empty handed an ageing Ronaldo still holds considerable sway at the club and can be difficult the squad is ageing and Zidane may well be gone by the Summer.

Pagan, true enough mate but equally I suspect if Real move for Hazard they really want him and there are very few players as good as him available and Real are currently in a mess and desperate to rebuild in the Summer its all about the negotiation mate.
Trust in Marina she’s a Rottweiler particularly on sales out!?

Asensio plus ยฃ150m sounds a tad optimistic to me.
If Barca bid circa ยฃ120m for Coutinho and Mbappe and Neymar joined PSG for ยฃ166m and ยฃ196m respectively Hazard will probably go for something between the bottom and top prices.
Chelsea will be reluctant sellers and won’t deal easily and Marina is known for striking the odd good deal when selling our players.
As Chelseaman says Real are desperate to rebuild in the Summer given the season they are having and there aren’t too many Hazards available on the transfer market if Real don’t meet Chelsea’s valuation given their reluctance to sell I can see Roman telling them to swivel.
Circa ยฃ100m and Asensio would probably suit all parties but we’ll see.

29th December 2017 at 1:58 pm in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10373Doesn’t Sanchez want circa ยฃ300k pw which given he’ll leave on a free he’ll probably get whoever he joins.
Realistically he’s only been linked to City and PSG and from a City perspective it would make sense to wait until the Summer rather than potentially disrupt the current squad and their quest for multiple titles and the fact they can get him for nowt in the Summer so why give Arsenal circa ยฃ20 to ยฃ30 million now.
Be surprised if Sanchez moves in January given all of the above.

29th December 2017 at 12:19 pm in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10364Ed, Andy Dunn who is a big Liverpool fan and writes for the Mirror said exactly the same as you in his page in the Mirror today ” โOther clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.โ
But all Managers are hypocrites when it suits them to be.?

29th December 2017 at 11:00 am in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10357Putting the fee to one side I agree with Sean VVD is a very good centre back and will improve Liverpool.
Coutinho will probably go in the Summer for circa ยฃ120m which all but covers the VVD fee and the Keita fee and overall Liverpool will be a stronger team.

29th December 2017 at 8:57 am in reply to: United will need to spend more money to catch City as will everyone else! #10350TBA, I think we all agree that City have the best team/squad which will likely be further strengthened again in the Summer.
Given the above and the fact the title race this season is over before Big Ben has even chimed the New Year in the only way for the chasing pack to catch City is by improving their squads and the chasing pack either have to take on that challenge or accept that there will be a period of complete domination by City in the PL.
Bringing through your own and being smart in the transfer market as Spurs have been with both Kane and Alli would help to reduce the costs of building a squad sufficiently strong enough to challenge City but it will take stronger squads to challenge City however they are built up.

29th December 2017 at 8:41 am in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10349Liverpool’s last financials released in March 2017 showed a loss of ยฃ19.8m.
Seemingly only Liverpool were bidding for Van Dijk and the fee was driven by Southampton.
But Van Dijk was a player Liverpool coveted in an area that Liverpool needed to strengthen and consequently they were prepared to pay the ยฃ75m record transfer fee set by Southampton and the fall out between both club’s last Summer re an alleged illegal approach may well have been a factor in that record fee.
I suspect the fee will ultimately be funded by the sale of Coutinho to Barcelona.
Overall it looks a sensible move by Liverpool and they will be a better side with Van Dijk and eventually Keita in their team next season and you would think very close to being credible title challengers.

28th December 2017 at 7:01 pm in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10317Pagan, I know for a fact that there was more than one interested party in buying Chelsea back then but Roman was obviously the richest.
The biggest part of the debt accrued was in the rebuilding of the ground and the Chelsea Village which was Ken’s vision of it all being eventually all self financing.
All Chelsea fans acknowledge the club’s good fortune in getting Abramovich as an owner and the part it played in our success there’s no need for all the snide side swipes and the bitterness.
