Sean, I think we all probably said things at 15/16 that we wouldn’t have said when we were in our 20’s.

Holgate was clearly responsible for the shove which imo was dangerous play which could/should lead to a retrospective charge but what Firmino said or didn’t say which is currently being investigated and what Holgate posted in a tweet at 15/16 are completely unconnected.

Hazard is carrying an injury at the moment and he isn’t 100% fit and even when 100% fit he wont be at the top of his game every week no player is.

If Chelsea sell Hazard as they well might in the summer I suspect there will be a few more than just Real prepared to pay the £150m plus for him.

Nil, I’m confused.
Where on here has anyone said City will be too much for Liverpool?
Certainly the posts I’ve read don’t seem to suggest that. Personally I will be surprised if Liverpool lose this game even without Coutinho. It’s a game to savour imo which could go any of three ways.

Sean, Coutinho will be a big miss for Liverpool especially in the forthcoming big games like this one but Liverpool still have plenty in their armoury although their defence will be tested but I suspect so will City’s defence.

Really difficult game to call with Coutinho Liverpool might have edged it at Anfield but a draw will suit both teams and that’s what I think it will end up as.

Very much looking forward to it though should be a cracker.

Chelseaman, this story emanates from a TV interview that Farhard Moshiri did which was aired on Sky Sports yesterday which I saw so there can be no doubt about the authenticity of the story having said that if Lukaku had really wanted to sign for Chelsea he could have he chose United and good luck to him personally I prefer Morata as he’s much more of an all round player. Mak, the Firmino thread is still up and running on the General football site.

Rob, the thread you talk about was “Is Teamtalk on the slide” it was focussed on the football sites on Teamtalk and was started and driven by someone who had never posted on the football sites and didnt intend to post on the football sites which is a tad ironic and was totally negative and predicted the death of Teamtalk which may or may not happen but I can appreciate why an Editor wrestling with the current problems he has on Teamtalk most of which are beyond his control would want to delete such a negative thread.

Nil is a former Teamtalk poster and whilst he was rightly critical of Teamtalk on this thread he also included his opinions of how the site could be improved had others on that TT thread followed what Nil did on this thread I doubt the TT thread would have been taken down.

Teamtalk still seemingly has some posters that are loyal to it on the General Football site, has three very active club sites in the Liverpool, United and Chelsea sites with more than 100,000 posts across the three sites and despite having less than half the staff it once had the editorial team still provide live football news 18 hours a day.

I’m not on here to defend Teamtalk as it does clearly have its problems and I now post mainly on the Chelsea site but having been on TT for so long and being a club Moderstor on there I do know a little bit of what’s gone on behind the scenes.

Anyway let’s all be grateful that we’ve got this site which doesn’t have any of TT’s problems. Cheers All 999

Really heroic performance by Bristol City it was important to get the tie back to the Gate still in it and they did that.

I thought the near 8,000 Bristol City fans were magnificent.
But well done to Man City they come and come and come again.
