Sanchez to United seemingly rests on Mikiteryan to Arsenal but Arsenal won’t match his United salary of ÂŁ200k pw.
Great deal for United if they pull it off Sanchez for Miki in a straight swap.

16th January 2018 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #12707All true Jim. City definitely miss the little magician when he’s not there. A blip mate imo and no more than that and arguably City were looking the most likely winner prior to the two goals in three minutes both of which were massive errors by City defensively.

Ronaldo seemingly wants to go?
Real allegedly want ÂŁ89m for him and Ronaldo wants 100m Euros a year and he’s 32 in February even with shirt sales it doesn’t hang together.

16th January 2018 at 1:39 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #12695Hilarious seeing Sky trying to talk up a City collapse in the title race and a potential United title win summoning up Newcastle as an example.
United did chase Newcastle’s 12 point lead down but Man City imo definitely aren’t comparable to that Newcastle United back then.

Conte asked in his press conference this lunchtime as to whether Chelsea were trying to sign Alexis Sanchez said ” I don’t think so”?
I don’t believe Sanchez will end up at Chelsea but Conte seemed cagey under the questioning about Sanchez and Steve Atkins jumped in to stop the questioning?

Mak, a good balanced view. At one all it looked like City were taking control of the game but the high press tactics pressurised City into making the silly mistakes they did and the two goals in two minutes turned the game in Liverpool’s favour.
There won’t be many teams that concede three goals to City and win.
Liverpool always raise their game against the big teams if they can eliminate dropping silly points v the lesser teams with VVD already there and Keita on his way if they go out and sign a quality Keeper in the Summer they will be genuine title challengers next season imo. Cheers 999

My source at Cobham tells me Sanchez told him he wants a move to Chelsea he described him as being 6ft plus tall with facial hair and a pony tail.

As expected, Hammersmith & Fulham Council passed a motion in a matter of minutes on Monday to prevent an injuction from delaying or even completely destroying Chelsea’s plans to rebuild Stamford Bridge.
The injuction, raised by the owners of two nearby cottages who are set to lose some of their light due to the new stadium, called for Chelsea to either redesign the entire Eastern half of the new stadium or stop the plans altogether.
The Council’s solution involves using their executive powers to acquire the part of the land that would be casting a shadow onto the home, and lease that back to the club. Since injunctions cannot be taken out against the Council, the family essentially will be forced to take the compensation payment for their loss of light. Chelsea had tried to negotiate with them for such compensation payment for several months now, just like with all others who are similarly affected. This particular family, who have lived there for half a century, were the only ones not willing to settle. Unfortunately for them, they will have no choice now. They could take the issue to court and argue that the Council’s intervention was illegal, but there’s little chance of that succeeding since there is clear language in the laws that allow the Council to do this after planning permission has been granted (which was indeed granted this time last year).
So, another hurdle successfully jumped over. Chelsea remain on course to start construction next year, with the club set to move out in 2020 and returning in 2024 or perhaps a bit before if everything goes perfectly.
In further good news, the Council’s full decision contains a hint that Chelsea are getting close to an agreement with Network Rail over their land interests (which the Council will then take over and lease back to the club). The agreements with the railways are key to Chelsea’s plans, since the very first step of the project involves the construction of decking over the railroads to the east and to the north.

Pagan, it’s on the other side of the Railway lines and a legal move to overcome the light objection. Seems like it may remove the glitch.

Sean, Chelsea regularly play 3/4/2/1.
Ed cant see it according to the Independent “Chelsea made their interest known on Monday afternoon, and are willing to capitalise in any breakdown in talks.” Too late imo and I can’t see talks between United Sanchez and Arsenal breaking down or Chelsea agreeing to pay Sanchez circa ÂŁ350k pw.
Player wise age apart he would be a perfect fit at Chelsea imo but he will end up at United.

“And while the manager (Guardiola) was keen to land Sanchez, it is understood he agreed that taking a player on for such inflated wages would upset the equilibrium in his squad.” MEN tonight.

Circa ÂŁ350k pw for Sanchez if true is ridiculous Conte was allegedly interested but the club told him they wouldn’t sanction those sort of wages but if United can afford it as I’m sure they can it’s there business and if Sanchez helps them win a PL title or the CL it will be money well spent.
I’m a tad surprised at Sanchez though if it was about winning trophies no disrespect to United but you would have thought he would have gone to City even though they seemingly aren’t prepared to go above ÂŁ20m or pay him circa ÂŁ350k pw.
Even Rio told him to go to City.?

I never believe any Chelsea transfer stories either way are true until I read the confirmation of it on the official club site.
90% of what you see in the media and read in the press is rubbish and 99% of the football stories you read on the internet sites are rubbish.

15th January 2018 at 3:17 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #12577Nil, I suspect the City lads on here would happily settle for a title win by 7 points right now. It doesn’t matter how much you win it by its the winning it that counts. I was very happy for Chelsea to win it by 7 points last season.?
Like banjo I suspect it will be closer to double figures though and City will rest players for their big CL games.Cheers 999
