Massive win for Swansea which just might just keep them up that’s 3 wins,2 draws and 1 defeat in their last 6 games.
Carlos Carvalhal is definitely having an impact and his interviews are highly entertaining.

If Swansea were going to score it was always going to come from a free kick or corner.
Poor header from Van Dijk from the corner but Liverpool are quite capable of turning it around and coming away with 3 points.

KDB is a significant signing by City. If they keep their best and add to it, it sets them up nicely going forwards.

Just to explain my post above comes from France and L’Equipe.
Plenty of water to ow under this particular Bridge yet but l did post a while back that the new UEFA President was looking to beef up FFP.

Chelseaman, we’ve signed 12 forwards since Friday according to rumours.?
A double deal for Dzeko and Palameri if it can be done and it’s reasonably sensible money sounds good to me.Ray Livermore makes a good point though there’s a shortage of good strikers available which pushes the prices up.

Nil, if you read Jim’s post and skip past the jokey DVD nickname Jim was actually suggesting with the signing of Van Dijk Liverpool could finish second and he was being positive towards Liverpool. Hand on heart mate I think you took it the wrong way.
“You lot insist on an βopen planβ view and no individual exclusiveness so when one does post out a thread, you go against.” The Ed sets the Editorial policy mate not any one else on here and it’s he who decided that currently everything should appear on the General Community page.
Tbh none of us will agree all of the time but again I don’t think you’ve had any abuse aimed at you and nor should you and what Jim posted for instance was meant as a bit of fun not as a snide comment aimed at you.
I did vote up Beni’s comment not because there was anything wrong with what you were saying it was more a case of “where did that come from”. No harm meant buddie. Anyway let’s get back to discussing the footie. Big game for Liverpool and I wouldn’t out a 4 nil win and third place. Cheers 999

Nil, truly mate I don’t think Jim meant anything by that and you know how fond footballers are on giving nicknames I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not already called Dick by his footballing mates.
Nobody is cussing you on here and tbh you might be a different kind of poster and you might wear your heart on your sleeve but you’re pretty much well loved by all on here.
Try not to take things to heart buddie albeit we can all be a bit sensitive at times. Cheers 999

I wouldn’t rule those links out they might not be January signings but there’s every chance after relegating Mignolet to the bench with the uncertainty surrounding Karius that Klopp is making a shirt list for a Summer Keeper signing.

Since the beginning of December Spurs have drawn with Watford, West Ham and Southampton and got beaten by City so there’s no major decline in form.
Although Spurs are probably behind where they were last season points wise and don’t seem to playing to the levels they were last season but you could say the same about Chelsea and their run of form is currently half decent but a way away from last season.
I’m sure most Spurs fans would welcome an additional or two to the squad in January to and they’ve been linked with both Malcolm and Moura. Whether they make any aquisitions or not is open to conjecture but if others are and do that might have an impact on a top 4 finish.

Come on lads the big benefit of this site to date is that predominantly views are exchanged without any angst. Understandably there will always be differences of opinion because of who we all support.
“Poor showing from Spurs. Surprised at their poor form the last few weeks. Pressure is definitely on Poch and Levy to freshen up the squad and get a top four spot.”
To be fair to Jim the above seemed like an honest assessment of where Spurs are currently and had it been posted by a Spurs fan I doubt it would have caused a reaction.
Tbh I think the January transfer market will play a part in who takes one of the remaining three CL places and how and where everyone sits squad wise after the window closes may well determine who occupies 2nd to 4th place and in what order. Still everything to play for.

Set back for Spurs in a really tight race for CL places. Still 42 points to play for though and anything could happen.

Mak, Firmino for instance could drop back into a midfield role and Sanchez could play through the middle you can never have too many great creative players and Liverpool have just lost one of them.
But it’s all a mute point now mate only United and City could afford Sanchez and he’s signing for United.
Like you I think Karius might be a weak link for Liverpool between now and the end of the season but Klopp is giving him a chance after finally deciding Mignolet’s not up to it to see whether Karius might be if not he will go out and sign a quality Keeper this Summer.
Why not now is probably down to Klopp wanting to give Karius a chance to see whether he can cut it and the Keeper Klopp might want not bring in probably isn’t available until the Summer.
Plus if Karius can come through and step up and be Liverpool’s No 1 Klopp can divert that Β£30m plus to other areas he might want to strengthen.

Mak, it seems Klopp has written Mignolet off now given that he’s dedicated to playing Karius until the end of the season.Mignolet will sit on the bench between now and the end of the season bar injury and be gone in the Summer.
It makes sense really Mignolet isn’t good enough if Liverpool are to have a genuine title challenge next season. Klopp obviously thinks Karius might be and he’s given him until the end of the season to prove that personally I’m doubtful and it’s a big call from Klopp because if Karius messes up it could cost Liverpool a CL place.
But it does give Klopp a proper chance to assess Karius and if he falls short then Liverpool will go out and sign a quality Keeper in the Summer.
Sanchez wouldn’t be good enough to get into Liverpool’s team? I guess it’s all about opinions mate personally I think Sanchez would walk into any team in the top 6.

Silva looked very capable at Hull and early on at Watford too but as you say Nil it’s been poor at Watford for a while.
Disappointing for Silva as Everton wanted him and Watford wouldn’t let him go and it seems to have gone downhill at Watford since then.

Jim, re KDB even the very best can’t play at their top level week in week out, great to see Silva back despite all City’s rich talent they don’t quite look the same side when he’s not in the team. I though Sane was excellent yesterday and that Zinchenko did really well. Cheers 999
