Chucky,there’s a home game v Palace amongst those three mate which is not an easy one but which games are now in the latter part of the Season and at least Zaha is injured.

Qualifying for a top 4 place is still entirely in Chelsea’s hands if they start performing as they should and they get all their players back from injury.

But I wouldn’t even put your money on it.? .

If Chelsea score first tonight I think they will claim all 3 points providing the real Chelsea turn up which I suspect they will.

Paxton, spot on mate but if Chelsea lose tonight it really will be curtains to any chance of a CL place and probably for Conte too.

Mak, re your post above I’m not sure what to expect from Chelsea anymore if we can get our best team out regularly between now and the end of the season drop Bakayoko and Conte settles down we might be within half a chance of a top 4 finish.

But the players need to step up to the mark and not just for one game but consistently between now and the end of the season and Conte has to take his negative head off and find his positive head if that happens and we have a decent run of results v City and United away and Spurs at home and then put a bit of a run together top 4 is still possible.

But that’s a lot of ifs and buts and as you rightly say no one knows whether Conte will be there next week let alone next season which isn’t helpful.

Tbh whilst I’ve got sympathy for a lot of what he’s said and the club need to have a long hard look at itself in the Summer with or without Conte but imo he’s pushed it a bit to far and it’s not right to keep washing your dirty laundry in public as he has.

I also thought he was smarter than taking on Roman in public. Great shame because he’s a great Coach who pulled if a magnificent achievement last season but I think it’s partly his personality and his Juve tenure ended exactly the same way with him falling out with the club over transfer strategy and they were his team.

You would have got long odds though on the last three title winning Managers all losing their jobs the following season. Cheers 999

Mak, I think Liverpool will make 3rd place at least and will get past Porto in the CL then it depends on who Liverpool draw.

From the Qtr Finals stage there will be some tough teams left in it. But on their day providing the defence stays strong Liverpool are capable of beating anyone and the current team is a much better team than the one who won it in 2005 so you just never know.

From a Chelsea perspective not getting tonked by Barca is paramount and I can’t see any further than that for us in the CL but I do think it’s important to our season that we give a decent account of ourselves from a confidence viewpoint.

4th place for Chelsea would be a real achievement now from what has been a real car wreck of a season but to do that we will probably need to take 5 or 6 points from City and United away and Spurs at home and then have a decent run in and I wouldn’t even put your money on that happening currently.? Nil, I just log in to Community mate and I don’t take any notice of zones which is why I responded to the question from a Chelsea perspective perhaps my original response should have been clearer that I was talking from a Chelsea viewpoint.

Nil, “What would be a good season” came across as an open question to all and from a Chelsea perspective 4th place would be a very good achievement right now.

There really was no need for the “we really need the thoughts of Liverpool supporters alone that cannot be stressed enough”

Nil, come on mate you’re only just back don’t get stuck into all this own message board stuff all over again the Ed has explained there’s no own message boards on the site and it’s currently an open site for all.

It’s the Ed’s site mate and he sets the agenda for it and tbh currently I think he’s right until there are considerably more posters there’s no meaning to club sites and even then and even on TT opposition fans are welcome to post on other clubs sites providing their not trying to cause problems and there’s no one on here that’s looking to do that.

I’m hoping Chelsea might do a bit of catching up tomorrow after two disastorous performances v Bournemouth and Watford but with 3 of Chelsea’s next 6 PL games being City and United away and Spurs at home the injuries,disarray and 2 games against Barca to come I will be surprised if Chelsea make the top 4 this season.

But where there’s life there’s hope.?

United, Liverpool and Spurs imo probably in that order. But what do I know I tipped Liverpool as FA Cup winners and they got knocked out at home to WBA.

I agree United weren’t great today but Newcastle played out of their skins the Keeper especially and on another day that would have been a United win. John Jo Shelvey looked a real player today?

What a strange game football is Chelsea beat Huddersfield 3 nil away a couple of weeks ago then embarrassingly lose 3 nil at home to Bournemouth who Huddersfield comfortably beat 4-1 today?

Worryingly from a Chelsea perspective is that with 11 games to go City are only 24 points away from beating Chelsea’s PL title all time winning points record of 95 points.

City need just 24 points from the 33 remaining to be won and it’s difficult to not only see them do it but not to see them doing it by quite some margin too remembering that this record was set back in the 2004/05 season and is the current all time record tells you what a wonderful season City are having.

You can never say never in football but a 100 points plus points record may never be beaten.

Pagan, yep I think you’re spot on about this site there’s a nice balance and a decent bunch of lads Inn here.

Some of what gets posted on the main TT site is a bit overpowering and the Chelsea site suffers from a large slice of posters that have only known the trophy years and don’t manage the up and down life of supporting a football club very well.

Sad to see you not posting on there though mate the Chelsea site can I’ll afford to lose posters like you and the balance and common sense approach that you contribute.

Hopefully at some stage in the future you might try and combine this site and the Chelsea site. Cheers 999
