15th February 2018 at 2:51 pm in reply to: The Summer Transfer Window – Early days but important #15704Looks like Alderwierald is on his way out of Spurs without Spurs come up with an extended contract close or on what Kane and Lloris earn.
With only one year left on his contract this Summer, Spurs could still extend that by a year with a a 1 year option but doing that seemingly triggers a Β£25m buy out clause.
At 29 age is not in Alderwierald’s favour if he’s looking for a 5 year contract from anyone inc Spurs but at Β£25m someone will almost certainly be enticed to go for him.

Being serious for a moment like the Ed I think a PL side could win it this season and there will surely be 3/4 PL clubs in the Qtr Finals. You just never know in the CL but if a PL side is to win it my money would be on City.

I think United will be too strong for Sevilla and despite Spurs brilliant comeback the Spurs v Juve tie is far from over and is still a difficult one to call.
The Chelsea v Barca tie is a done deal.

Be a shame for Liverpool to draw a PL side but there will be a few left in it at the Qtr Final stage even at the Semi Final stage.

Very sad for Ryan Mason I can only wish him the very best going forwards and hopefully football might find a place for him somewhere to allow him to stay in the game.

14th February 2018 at 7:56 am in reply to: Champions League: "It's a Knockout" Stage (Goonies need not apply) #15596Brilliant turn around by Spurs which sets up a very interesting 2nd leg and Spurs will be boosted by the fact that Aurier is I believe banned for that game.?
Big away win by City puts them in the Qtr Finals and means they can rest players in the return leg.
Well done to both club’s.
