Actually Rover putting aside his current problems Boris was actually considered a good Mayor of London.

“Johnson left office still popular with the people of London. A YouGov poll commissioned at the end of his term revealed that 52% of Londoners believed he did a “good job” as Mayor of London while only 29% believed he did a “bad job”.”

Still think he should resign though! He won’t though go until he’s pushed.

Can’t see Boris being able to hold on once the Police announce their findings. Turkey’s don’t vote for Christmas and sufficient Conservative MP’s will move against him if the Police fine him which seems the only likely outcome.

Everton are in a much better place now than they were a few weeks ago under Rafa. They should be safe now. I’m still a bit concerned for Newcastle they’ve stiffened up defensively but I’m not sure they’ve got enough goals in them and can Woy save Watford? The fight for the CL places and to avoid relegation is going to be very interesting.

Nil, re Carvalho pre contract agreements are only applicable across different countries there may be a gentleman’s agreement but it won’t be legally binding other Clubs could come in for him when he becomes a free agent it would then be down to Carvalho.

Promising player and potentially one for the future with Liverpool still most likely in the driving seat to get him.

Sean, haven’t seen anything of Guimaraes but he seems very well rated although he’s a defensive midfielder.

Newcastle haven’t added any goals to their team bar Wood who is not prolific and they’ve only scored 21 in the PL so far this season it looks like they will be more resilient defensively but they will need to score goals too or it will cost them.

Sean, more likely than not that Carvalho will sign for Liverpool in the Summer.

Difficult to understand why the Carvalho transfer hit a wall. Chelsea did a deal with Charlton at the last minute for their young striker Mason Burstow which included a loan back to Charlton. Funny old business transfers though.

Newcastle had a decent window however if I was a Newcastle fan I would still be a tad concerned as to whether they have enough goals in them Wood is a decent signing but is primary a target man rather than a goalscorer albeit Newcastle will be stronger defensively thanks to the signings.

Carvalho was always one for the future so nothing has really been lost if he still wants to join Liverpool in the Summer but there will be a compensation fee and you can’t rule out other Clubs showing an interest then either. It was always going to be a bit tricky because Fulham were adamant that Carvalho should see the season out with them.

As a general point I never understand the sudden rush by Clubs at the very end of a transfer window to sign players that they could sign at the beginning of the transfer window it never changes irrespective of the Club and the player concerned.

“Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph has reported that Dele Alli will join Everton on an initial free transfer, although the price could rise in the future.

The journalist took to Twitter to claim that Dele would sign a two-and-a-half-year deal with Everton, with the Toffees paying £10m but only if/when the midfielder plays 20 games.”

On the above basis it sounds like a decent deal for Everton to me gives them more variety and a player when at his best has an eye for a goal.

I doubt Kulusevski or Bentancur were ever near the top of Spurs wanted list and those that were went elsewhere they look like desperate last minute signings personally I can’t ever remember seeing either player play.

However they might work out and importantly Spurs have kept the baulk of their powder dry for the Summer which is probably sensible although I would imagine that Conte will be expecting a much more proactive Levy in the Summer.
