City different gravy today and played like the Champions they are. Could have been a lot worse for United had it not been for De Gea.
City had an unlikely blip v Spurs I can’t see them having too many of them between now and the end of the season on current form I don’t think there will be much in it but I think Liverpool will probably have to win at the Etihad to win the title which is not impossible but it will be very difficult.

Good first half De Gea has kept United in it. Hopefully the second half reaches the same level.

“Sky Sports pundit is normally a huge fan of the superstar – but in this instance, against Pep Guardiolaβs club who like to dominate possession, Neville feels as though Ronaldo is better served out the side anyway.
Neville said: “United over the last three or four years have been a counter-attacking team, and that will be exactly the same today I think, with Ronaldo out of the team I think they might be better off with Rashfordβs pace on the counter-attack today.”
Different perspective on the missing Ronaldo from Garry Neville he might be right?

I agree with all that Nil and the signings of Jota and Diaz have been very smart moves by Liverpool and sets them up very nicely for the future.
I’m sure out of choice both the owners and Klopp want to keep Salah but given his age I’m not sure they will concede to what they believe is a request that is too rich taking everything into account.
Salah will be 30 before next season commences and there’s no guarantee 2 or 3 years down the line he will be performing to the same levels that we’ve seen from him up to now. Think Ozil and Aubameyang.
Given where Liverpool are now squad wise I’m not sure it will be as big a problem as everybody first thought it might be if a sensible compromise position can’t be agreed with Salah.

I think Salah might struggle to get the deal he wants now especially with Diaz playing like he is.

Thought Leeds looked better today but they desperately need to start winning. Narrow away win for Chelsea.π

Re Dias “He will be out for βfour to six weeksβ, the manager confirmed.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the match, the Guardiola also confirmed that Nathan Ake will not feature at the Etihad.
βIt happens during a season,β Guardiola said.”

Stones and Laporte who I believe are both fit is still a strong Centre Back pairing. Rumour that United might leave Maguire out?

Unlikely imo Adlab. Be expensive giving whatever Roman gets for the Club he’s giving away and then buying it again.

I would like to address the speculation in media over the past few days in relation to my ownership of Chelsea FC. As I have stated before, I have always taken decisions with the Clubβs best interest at heart. In the current situation, I have therefore taken the decision to sell the Club, as I believe this is in the best interest of the Club, the fans, the employees, as well as the Clubβs sponsors and partners.
The sale of the Club will not be fast-tracked but will follow due process. I will not be asking for any loans to be repaid. This has never been about business nor money for me, but about pure passion for the game and Club. Moreover, I have instructed my team to set up a charitable foundation where all net proceeds from the sale will be donated. The foundation will be for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine. This includes providing critical funds towards the urgent and immediate needs of victims, as well as supporting the long-term work of recovery. Please know that this has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, and it pains me to part with the Club in this manner. However, I do believe this is in the best interest of the Club.
I hope that I will be able to visit Stamford Bridge one last time to say goodbye to all of you in person. It has been a privilege of a lifetime to be part of Chelsea FC and I am proud of all our joint achievements. Chelsea Football Club and its supporters will always be in my heart.
Thank you,
Roman
Sorts the rumours out great gesture.

Adlab, all we know for sure is that Abramovich is still the owner of Chelsea FC and that he’s looking to relinquish day to day control of the Club everything else is just rumours and at this stage I wouldn’t rule anything either in or out.
I think it’s a tad odd that the only questions Chris Bryant seems to raise in the H of C is about Abramovich. Maybe he’s a Spurs fan.π
If there’s going to be a change of ownership and again I wouldn’t rule it out I would prefer it wasn’t a consortium or a Sovereign State but as fans we get no choice.
Whoever might buy Chelsea they are unlikely to be as good an owner as Abramovich has been for the Club.
Time will tell but there are more important things to worry about.

Without Conte gets a substantial guaranteed transfer war chest for the Summer from Levy it’s very unlikely he will be at Spurs next season. Conte doesn’t do failure.

Despite the PL Clubs already knocked out of the FA Cup bar any potential shocks I expect a very strong line up of PL Clubs in the Qtr Final stages.
