Perfect summary Ed.
Ten Hag needs time and more signings and if he can’t get De Jong move on.
United will do well to escape with a point.

Brian, Conte says he’s dreaming of winning the PL and there’s nothing wrong with that.
They’ll always be the odd shock results at the beginning of the season last season Spurs beat City in the first game but City still went on to win the PL. Liverpool will put the Fulham game behind them very quickly.
I would love you to be right and that we see half a dozen teams competing for the title but when push comes to shove unfortunately I’m pretty sure we’ll see the same 2 teams fighting it out for the PL title.
There’s a reasons why City are odds on favourites for the title and Liverpool are 5-2 with Spurs the closest challenger at 12-1 but please keep on talking up a circa 6 way challenge we would all like to see that no matter how unlikely.😊 Cheers 9’s

After how well Liverpool played against City last week I expected a comfortable Liverpool victory today just goes to show you never can tell in football.

Can only see Liverpool winning by a hatful in the lunch time game. Everton away has become a bit of a bogey game for Chelsea lately losing the last 4 I’m hoping for a better outcome this evening.😊

Perfect summary Chucky.
Good 3 points for Arsenal though after the 3 nil defeat by Palace towards the end of the season, away to Palace is a tricky fixture and one that Arsenal will be glad to get out of the way with 3 points too.

No way Brian that 6/8 teams will be competing for the title. I can’t remember that ever happening. The World Cup has the potential to upset a good run of form and to deny competing Clubs of their best players due to injuries suffered during the World Cup.

Difficult to predict how big an effect the World Cup will have on the season but it’s bound to have some sort of an effect at both the top and bottom of the PL.
Ridiculous!

Good to see you and Banjo back Stevo.
Looking good for you both this season.
Arsenal currently the highest spenders over the last two seasons.

Still a bit difficult to predict with still a month of the transfer window to go but here’s how I see it.
I think it’s going to be nip and tuck again between City and Liverpool, I think Spurs have had a good window and under Conte they could improve further and maybe win a domestic Cup if Chelsea can continue to strengthen between now and September 1st they should make the top 4.🤞😊
Relegation wise I think Bournemouth and Fulham will do well to survive and it’s a toss up between Leeds and Southampton for the third relegation slot.
1)City
2)Liverpool
3)Spurs
4)ChelseaAll top 4 places are reversible ie 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th imo.
Relegation
Leeds
Bournemouth

Perhaps being more selective on when the players take the knee will have a greater impact?

Tricky game for Arsenal but I still expect them to win. Tricky game for City too they will need to play at a higher level than Sunday. In respect of Liverpool you get the feeling it’s a matter of how many will they win by. Chelsea are still undercooked and in need of a bit more strengthening I’ve got my fingers crossed for Saturday.🤞
Looks like good seasons for Spurs and Arsenal and an even more competitive race for the top 4.

“Maybe you think they are just being offensive for the hell of it which is incorrect and ignorant for anyone that thinks that way.”
Rest assured I’m fully aware as to why the Liverpool fans are booing the National Anthem I just don’t think it’s right to boo your own Anthem.
We will never agree on this threeps so I suggest we leave it there.

The Referee in the Sunderland v Coventry game is wearing a hair band.
First time I’ve seen that.😊

Threeps,I don’t like to hear England fans boo the National Anthems of other countries teams either there should be respect for all National Anthems but it’s particularly offensive though when English people are booing their own national anthem this is the third time now in a matter of months it has happened and imo it reflects badly on Liverpool FC and personally I don’t want to see it continue which is why if it was up to me I would leave the National Anthem out of any of Liverpool’s future prestige games where the Anthem would normally be played.

Simple solution is to strip the National Anthem from show piece games that Liverpool might be involved in, in the future and deny their fans the opportunity to boo the National Anthem.
Credit to Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson though for singing the National Anthem with such vigour.
