Perhaps we should shelve this thread until the PL actually decides that it plans to broadcast live 3pm games currently this is merely a proposal from the EFL and that might even not go ahead yet.
The PL wouldn’t get too many takers for tomorrow’s 3 pm ko’s of Fulham v Bournemouth and Wolves v Forest.

Lucky, it’s just a proposal from the EFL whether it goes further than that will depend on who offers what and it’s not even on the agenda of the PL.
If the PL put it on its agenda it would depend on the proposal for all TV coverage across all Broadcasters including 3pm ko’s and it would have to be affordable Sky plus BT Sport is already expensive.
If it is affordable and it doesn’t effect attendances I would be for it.
But from a PL perspective there’s not even a bone let alone any meat on the bone and we’re merely talking about a what if.

Lucky, I was just reminiscing mate going to the Bridge was magical right from the very first time when I was a 10 year old in short pants.
As I said the other day “We’ll have to wait and see how things shape up Lucky currently even the EFL is just a proposal.”

Best not to give these idiots too much exposure imo.

The words from Blue Day sum it up for me.
“The only place to be, every other Saturday
Is strolling down the Fulham Road
Meet your mates, have a drink, have a moan and start to think
Will there ever be a blue tomorrow?”Sadly firstly Geography and then health problems limited me going to the Bridge and then stopped me getting to the Bridge all together but those Saturdays and all the night games will always live in the memory and circa 50 years of going to the Bridge will stay with me forever. Sadly Saturdays will never be the same.

Lucky, both parties have to agree to the value of the clause but I’m surprised it’s as high as 200m Euros given that it was negotiated at the time of the Haaland transfer to City and given that Haaland’s team were in the driving seat then.
I would have thought they would have looked to be going closer to circa 100m Euros.
Imagine how many goals Haaland might score in La Liga.

I’m sure Haaland will want to play in Spain they all do at some time in the future the buy out clause is there to give him the option to choose Real if they come calling as they likely will.

Liverpool fans would be wise not to get too carried away with the 7-1 demolition of Rangers who are a poor team playing in an even poorer League.
Sunday will be a much bigger test for Liverpool.
I wouldn’t write them off completely given the quality of their offensive players and the win although it was against a poor Rangers team will give them confidence but it will be a hell of a test for them v City in midfield and defensively even at Anfield.
But stranger things have happened.

Seemingly Nil Liverpool don’t have the players or the legs to play heavy metal football currently.

Lucky,”The new figure for international rights will reach £5.05bn, just beating out that of the domestic rights, also representing a 30% increase in value when compared to the £3.89bn they gained between 2019 and 2022 for the same thing.”
The growth in overseas revenues is much stronger than domestic revenues and is predicted to grow further.
Impossible to predict how broadcasting rights may go it all depends on who puts how much on the table, currently we’re only talking about the EFL which allows the PL to observe the impact if it goes ahead but everything will depend on who puts what on the table.

Rangers a number of levels below Liverpool even on current form difficult to see anything other than a Liverpool win.

It’s a proposal that won’t come into operation until 2024 assuming it goes ahead and it’s all about creating more revenue.
It gives the PL time to analyse the potential impact of broadcasting live 3 pm games, again it will be down to revenue.
It’s worth remembering though that the PL makes more money from oversea sales than they do domestic sales.
The current TV deal for the PL runs until the 2025 season the introduction of BT and Amazon into the broadcast mix is already costing fans more money than it did and the more Broadcasters with their fingers in the pie will just add to that.
My personal view is that there’s nothing more important than live football in a Stadium and I’ve handed that down to my Son’s and Grandsons who will be at Ashton Gate tonight and on Saturday.

Currently very unlikely that Gerrard will ultimately get to manage Liverpool without things turn around dramatically for him. I think his time at Rangers has to be seen in the light of how weak the SPL is.

The penalty given to Arsenal and the penalty not given to Liverpool on Sunday both could have gone either way and the result turned on those decisions.
Liverpool came on strong for 20 minutes in the first half but overall Arsenal shaded the game imo.
The Liverpool of last season would have come away with at least a draw.
