What has Mo Farah done to win Sports Personality???????????
Fixed and contrived.
Left wing BBC. How the tune has changed. And they still have the audacity to charge TV Licencing fees, would you believe?!

Pagan, in short I totally get where you are coming from being a chain reaction. Now that would be a series of worms, haha. Too much unnecessary headache just from these theories outlined.
Maybe it should just be a case of decisions like penalties, sendings off and offsides as a template.
That Fourth official needs to get his thinking cap on and simply be more vigilant and involved in proceedings!
An action of prevention than cure, but we can only hope 🙂 🙂
Cheers

Salah is apparently more faster haha 😀 🙂
Now that is healthy competition amongst 2 well respected individuals.

Jim,
What I can see from this rotation, (something that Rafa I felt missed a trick (often) when he was implementing this) is that Klopp on this occasion didn’t have any key positions compromised.
E.g. If Mane is on the Bench, we have Salah on the pitch. I haven’t seen this type of luxury for a while when thinking about the midfield and attacking players.
I recognise and like too how Ox has been finding his way into our crop of players following his move from Arsenal. For me, he definitely has something in his locker. Firmino is bouncing of Salah, and I’m seeing a different player.
The obvious depth is the back line and we’ve had to really roll our sleeves up when we don’t have Joel Matip. Gomez has been filling in for Clyne, and Robertson of late replacing Moreno has been first class and truly inspirational to watch.
From our point of view Jim, I truly hope we can get hold of Van Dijk as I would love to see how he and Kieta would pair in in the heart of the defence and defensive midfield areas. This too would generate competition for places involving Milner and Wyjnaldum.
Depth in essence is a good problem for the Manager as long as he can keep everyone happy and can clearly distinguish his best formula for home and away matches.
Cheers

Jim,
in reality not many managers in public will come out and wrong their own players unless there’s serious violation that’s led to a sending off (in which they know there’s no hiding place and it’s inexcusable).
I don’t really know. Should they be taken to task in the first place to explain their comments?
Personally, I’m more aligned in taking into account emotions running high and comments made in the heat of the moment. I don’t think post-match interviews do these guys any favours if they have been on a back of a defeat and there’s been controversy.
The way the industry is too, from what could be just a simple bad day at the office, some Managers feel as though they have to strip an entire engine to get to the bottom of what happened and why.

Pagan, from your first 2 lines, I would question isn’t that the whole purpose in having something like this put in place?
Whilst this process and attention to detail may seem a can of worms to some, that 3rd party benefitting could be a relegated team or a team finishing 4th.
In essence, this could promote more of a fair game if done properly as long as we’re not too pedantic on detail.
Cheers

Fully redeemed and absolutely delighted to come away with a 4-0 thumping victory. Apart from that scare towards the closing stages of the first half from Defoe, Liverpool bossed it in all areas of the pitch.
This rotating of players shows us we can rest the example of Mane and win this game comfortably. Nice reintegration today of Lallana and Ings.
Robertson was outstanding today as full-back and provides so much stability.
Feeling a lot happier after those Bus Parkers in Everton and West Brom. Arsenal next up Friday Night so let’s hope we’re fully prepared as we were today.

That should now settle it – 4-0 and great header from Robbie Firmino.

Maybe a bit of both, Pagan but I would imagine largely in percentages, there would be the handling of requests from Managers. There needs to be more involvement from the 4th official in the first place to observe and take note.
If there is evidence of officials being proactive, then this would fill Managers with greater confidence and this in itself would iron out the inconsistencies.

Would have been delighted just to go into the break at 0-0 away from home, but this has been a measured Liverpool coming right out of the blocks from the first whistle and deserving of their 3-0 advantage.
Bournemouth to be fair to them before Liverpool’s 3rd did themselves finally come out of the traps and turn the screw on us and had Defoe’s effort gone in, then it may have been a different story come half-time.
We have been here before this time last season, so nothing to take for granted and we have to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself, but in the meantime, we’re in fine fettle and enjoying it 🙂

Lol 😀
Dejan Lovren of all people! 😀
Right place at the right time – 2 Nil and The Reds have been worthy given the amount of pressing right from the first whistle.

Should have been a goal up. What a freekick from Coutinho and the follow up effort.
There’s a goal defo in the pipeline from us – only a matter of time.

17th December 2017 at 12:25 pm in reply to: Wayne Clarke 1987 – Ending Liverpool's 29 unbeaten run of League games #9056It’s a possibility, but even so, they’d be a fair fight and I can’t see us honestly being played off the park like other teams so far have done. There is something special about Anfield, but then, that’s my bias all over.

What I’d like to see is Managers given more of a fair deal. Emotions naturally run high if you have suffered a defeat and if it’s in a manner where you feel of injustice, then of course you’re going to speak up. That’s human nature.
The reporters and journalist effectively set you a trap and you can’t help but to walk into it.
And a damn if you do and damn if you don’t. When you make it clear you don’t want to discuss those matters, rather then a dignified nod of the head and swiftly moving on, those reporters ‘double-check’.
“Did you not hear what I’ve just said”?
The FA need to be doing their bit and if Managers feel injustice, they should feel they can approach the authorities quite easily and have their grievance at least investigated.
More needs to be done retrospectively so whoever they are, they can’t get away with it.

Mav, hello mate, just seen your reply re 9:24. Just winding down from work mate. I second my thoughts, though a lot more chilled out. It’s frustrating when it’s just one team talked about and no so much the one you would like it to be aside your own.
I do hope you are right.
If I’m brutally honest, it’s not City I have a problem with, but clouding a lot of my judgement from my dislike of Pep – don’t like the man, but truly was a pet to Manual Pellegrini as he was a true Gentleman and he was just ace back in 2014.
Just wish there would be 2/3/4 teams on par with one of them being my own – feels pretty disheartening being held back from our previous 2 results and going deeper, being held back for 27 years as I for one desperately want the League Title, but it is what it is and just have to get on with it hoping for the better.
Cheers mate.
