This sort of reminds me of property prices in the way that they have risen and looking at the overall scale.
So it seems a D to C grade player you could fetch in excess of 20 million? Is that the sort of figure we’d be after for Sakho?
I thought we are now way past the loan out and just a matter of crossing the ‘I’s’ and dotting the ‘T’s’. One area where we are switched on is business deals when it comes to selling players and we’ve proved in recent times, we are no pushovers, haha 🙂 🙂

An absolute gem of a Website. Lovely looking and love the blue texts. I like the ability to be able to just hit the logo on that’s always placed at the top and it takes me back to home.
League tables seem updated to on a regular basis.
The BBC in my has made a massive blunder in a new interface they’ve set up. It is awful when checking live scores, fixtures, results and tables. It’s far too spreaded. If fixtures could be listed here that would be ace in relation to all 4 leagues, but I fully appreciate the effort and the man hours needed.
Superb work and best wishes to growth and sustainability.

P.S.
Little Couts should be free to leave. I have no issue with him because the fella’s head has been turned and Barcelona effectively is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Anything above 100m, and we’ve done astronomically well considering he was purchased to my knowledge in the region of 10m from Rodgers.

Above all, the defensive unit hasn’t been addressed in the way it should (in my view):
1) New first class keeper
2) Centre half
3) Left-back
We had brought in somebody from Huddersfield, but what have we been doing in the past 6 weeks? Everything (eggs in one basket phrase) aimed just towards VVD? What have the Scouts and whoever does the buying have been doing?
The goals we shipped in you’d expect that from a lower league outfit. The problem is that we lack leaders, proper oral communication/somebody vocal, and organisation. If this isn’t happening, then effectively, we’ll be in no man’s land when it comes to dealing with set-pieces. It’s very much a free pass for opposing teams.
Playing as a ‘patch up’ team will not win us many matches, and subsequently, competitions and trophies.
Not something that you can brush off lightly, any longer.

Well, there are still matches to be played on Sunday, but based on the results so far from the opening weekend, maybe our 3-3 draw away from home (leading and close to winning the game at one point) doesn’t feel so bad – though our defending most definitely isn’t a one off or freakish!
Chelsea, the current Premier League Champions lose at home to Burnley and newly promoted Huddersfield Town win emphatically at Crystal Palace!
I’m sure I’ve seen the Huddersfield boss cross paths with Jurgen Klopp – looks to be a meeting of minds or certainly, two resembling facial expressions and personalities that seemingly will get along.
In a light-hearted way, these two light up the Prem and make me laugh, hahaha 😀

Cheers Alfie, ‘mitigating’ circumstances or not, conceding 3 goals even with a man down at home spells a clear problem today with Chelsea’s defence.
Nothing to take away from Burnley in the way they have performed and delivered – they really mean business, but will the tide remain with them after the next 45 minutes?
That would be one hell of a consolation for me as a Liverpool supporter from our earlier embarrassment of the 3-3 draw at Vicarage Road. Game on!

Two matches I’ve seen now. If you don’t have your nail your colours to the mast and just enjoy a game of football, then great, but if you have the knowledge and have the experience, you will know as well as I do that the quality overall was flattering because the defending especially from my team quite frankly is shocking.
Not seeing the 90 minutes off is one thing, but having to re-live in not being able to hold out 90 minutes and conceding soft goals from set-pieces really is just poor and a consistent feeling of being back to square one.
Pre-season games are now replaced by these mini-tournaments, but with Liverpool, I just can’t believe from all the time we had that we still find ourselves in a position of the same howlers and not being able to set up properly and professionally as a defensive unit.
We really are burying our heads in the sand or JK isn’t able to get the targets he needs to address the defence.
Instead of attempting bid after bid on VVD, we should map out a list of names and alternatives we can sign and put together a defensive unit that will gell. This is Jurgen Klopp’s second full season in charge and why do we still have Brendan Rodgers’ players? What’s Moreno even doing in the first 11?
At times when it’s needed, we still are not ruthless enough. Wijnaldum should have made it 4 and put the game to bed – what’s he even doing trying to head the ball down?! Put it in row Z!!!!! Jeez for heaven’s sake, I know we’ve barely come through the entrance doors of the new season, but I can sort of envisage this to sadly go downhill for us with JK losing his job and ultimately leaving us back to square one where we have been for the last 27 years.
