Chucks, you actually have a valid point. It’s whether or not those teams below United can pu on a sequence of at least 2 wins in succession.
Everton are a good blueprint with their recent revival under Moyes

16th February 2025 at 6:45 pm in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218694There’s no way on this earth United will get relegated. I mean I praise Ipswich for their try and Wolves too, but Leicester for example are poor. Saints effectively down. Unless these teams just find a sequence of wins and United go the other way, I can’t see it happen.

16th February 2025 at 4:01 pm in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218689Well we just about held on!!
What a 7 days it’s been. Dumped out of the FA Cup, dropping 2 points at Everton, and having to tough out the latter second half for the 3 points versus Wolves.
No easy ride, but the points means we are 7 clear again with games played all square and 13 left.

15th February 2025 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218687I’m not sure from speaking to a couple of work colleagues of Leicester Supporters them nailing a certain Leicester player as a Liability. Honestly don’t know the outcome of the outcome having been on the late shift; never even heard of the Arsenal guy coming on with the 2 late goals.
Champion and it is what it is. I have sincerely repeated and repeated Please Don’t Get Carried Away. Just want our Lads to be in Good Spirits first and foremost for tomorrow and give Wolves the Respect they Deserve.

15th February 2025 at 11:12 am in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218684Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Forest, Newcastle really have been a credit to the league this season. Landscape is changing and you can’t just thrown bucketloads of money at it and expect it to be built like a machine.
Would love for Forest to clinch one of those European places at the end of the season.

14th February 2025 at 1:46 am in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218673I Always believe in the saying “what goes round comes round” remember that Volley from Van Dijk that made it awkward for Pickford to allow his judgement parry the ball against the bar only for Divock Origi to head it in! Anfield Erupted haha.
Lol I do remember Jurgen running all the way to Alisson 🙂 🙂
And also for all the bemoaning about 2-2, we and a certain Paul Ince did this back in 1999 on a Thursday Night to United again at Anfield; 2-2! United went on to win the League Title anyway but if we’re honest to ourselves when we were effectively in the doldrums, playing United at Anfield on a Televised game Sunday was our ‘Cup Final’.
When there’s one bounce too many, you just dread the inevitable 😉

13th February 2025 at 12:45 pm in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218665Yeah Sean, agree with all that mate. Just the experience and the manner of it all although, that’s expected. Dropped 2 points, but it’s not dented us.
We can’t expect to be 20 points clear like the media think and every opposition is tough and deserve the respect. I’m actually very happy with the spirit shown by our guys and the effort. They seem physically more stronger too under Slot and it looks like the training regime has changed. Just a slight struggle at times though when it comes to physical battles but nothing that a future new center half and DM wouldn’t resolve and strengthen.

13th February 2025 at 9:39 am in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218657Disappointed with Oliver. How did we evening reach 8 minutes?
They wanted to make it a ‘thing’ about last game st Goodison. Will they play all their matches the way they did?
We’ve struggled against bottom sides that play kick n rush and wrestle though massivev credit to Macca and Zobo specially for really being resilient.
Disappointed with TNT Sports especially the commentary team and not even giving Liverpool at least some credit.
We got Villa away but every time we drop points a big thing is made out of it.
One of the reasons I don’t get too carried away 😐🫡

12th February 2025 at 9:52 pm in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218650Lived up to their name didn’t they. Classless team that probably never even heard of the 1987 Everton. Tarkowski – Jagielka. They thrive on this because that’s their fairytale to stop something good.
Proud of our players. I don’t think our performance can be criticised if another team’s intention is to purely stop flow; may as well be “just stop oil people” in orange!!
Horrible draw bit like Man United. 4 points lost against these teams, but we are 7 clear and Top of The League.

12th February 2025 at 8:23 pm in reply to: Week 25: “Has Beans” Derby… and the last Mersyside Derby at Goodison #218645Our players are classy and want to actually play football. These on the other hand don’t even make it as ‘kick and rush’. They’re just interested in nullifying Liverpool kicking lumps out of them and then their supporters roar and fan the flames.
