Snap Big Jim, I honestly put something like this on the Editor’s Predictor Sheet. All healthy and it shows ambition and positivity.
The best bit about this is I’m free from work. That Mobile Telephone will well and truly be switched off hahaha 🙂

Thankyou CLFC.
And no Googling anyone; I want to at least be in the top 3 hahaha 🙂

A long shot, but Luis Suarez and/or Nando?
Come to think of it now, Sergio Aguero – I’m getting stronger now I think!

This is straight off the top of my head CLFC: 😀
Steven Gerrard
Rudd Van Nistelrooy
Thierry Henry
I was going to mention Wrighty, but he exchanged from Palace and not sure your question from the outset is applicable
Is there a Tottenham player some where there haha? Not Les Ferdinand lol 🙂
Matthew Le Tissier I’m going for for player number 4
Did Robbie Fowler join Leeds when they were relegated from the PL?
A little too much overthought, I think I’ll retire there for now 🙂

Too right Big Jim: both sets of Managers implementing their own playing styles and that means:
No buses hahaha 😀 🙂

Chucky, on 5:59 not sure whether your reply was meant for the Editor?
I was just checking my replies but didn’t mention anything on friendlies itself other than agreeing with you that from an England point of view, just when we think we’ve got it sussed out, we’re pegged back to square one (at least as far as performances go).
As an overview of this topic, I feel from living experience over the last 25 years that the currency/value of the Premier League has strengthened to the point as though playing for one’s country is second best (certainly as far as England goes).
I can try and unearth my thoughts, but not clever enough to offer solutions – that’s to delegate to somebody else 😉 🙂

You are right Chucky about the friendlies to a large degree because we don’t really seem to take any learning from it and a lot of the time, we end up back to square one with the same problems.

Chucky, with you on that one at 3:25. He’s be perfect to get the players to loosen up and just express themselves with freedom.

Chucky, I am embracing the fact that other nations are gradually closing the gap on England and coming good themselves – good to see for example, more of a fight from Scotland and Wales.

The positive from my point of view is that I still gain that feeling of excitement from when the national anthem is sung. The difference is however that the line ups have obviously changed over generations and it’s fair to accept we are where we are and won’t bring back nostalgia.
The face of football has changed as over the last 25 years, there are a lot less top quality English players as there are more continental players and more of the synergy has come from club football than when placed together as a nation.
Whatever opinions and feelings are of football fans, the Internationals have to be accommodated in the calendar especially when there is a major tournament around the corner.
As far as the debate goes over players, it’s a double-edge sword, because for a like Ben Woodburn to be considered on a regular basis at the International stage, he needs to be playing in the first team and for that to happen, he needs to be delivering so he is regularly selected.
Football Managers at the higher end as we know will be reluctant to put in the investment because of the objectives and expectations they themselves have to try and achieve knowing that their own tenure is at risk.
I can’t think if a happy medium that would suit everybody so will leave that with somebody else out there.

Well, it could have been a lot worse, but we turned it around when it mattered and finished with a positive result.
Two wins over the weekend but lots of improvement is needed.

Looks like some of our players are half-a-sleep. What a start from Slovakia – fully deserved goal.

Yes it is, and fully agree.
I saw that in Wales-Austria last night.
That game needed something special. I can’t pinpoint as to why, but it seems we can’t just go by a ‘label’ or reputation.
The so-called minnows out there have represented themselves not to be anybody’s doormat.

Music to my ears – I’m in the wrong area!
Remember some years back in a hotel stay in Darlington being charged those prices.
Makes a huge difference to my Wallet!

Ed, I must say you’ve done a splendid job not to allow any form of advertising or pop ups on this site – it’s a joy.
If only I could say the same about You Tube! Now here’s a challenge 😀

I am slightly flummoxed as to why this has happened in the first place.
He’s reached what I would see at full circle in his playing career. He’s hung his boots as far as the International stage goes (fair dos), and he’s back with where he begun his career from.
Better shape than ever, playing well, has wife and children and yet this.
Just goes to show as Joe public we can only go by what we see and read. Maybe there is more to this than meets the eye.

Didn’t pay attention to how the goal was celebrated, but we had screens on all over last night in a sports bar and the welsh anthem sang plus the goal was just electric – top night and makes a change from watching England!
