Everton have important fixtures coming up and really can’t afford to lose them. Not surprised.
Meanwhile, Garth Crooks has suggested Ancelotti as Liverpool new boss should Klopp be fired. Although we are sitting pretty in Europe, Liverpool ultimately should be challenging for the league title because we finished 4th last season, and trophyless too.

The frustration lies ultimately by certain individual players:
Moreno will always be problematic because of his nature. He simply just doesn’t want to take any responsibility defending. Fairenough. I’d love him to strive all day tooth and nail to go forward, but essentially, we’re left with a deficiency.
Moreno leaves gaps on the line itself of the pitch and then the playing surface just outside the 6 yard area. Opposition teams one way or another will suss this and exploit this. They won’t remotely care about Moreno as long as they find a pathway, that leads to Goalmouth. Tottenham deservedly exploited that and credit to them.
Out fault. It kills me to say, but this is the harsh reality.
Essentially, you need a quality of individuals to occupy ALL defensive positions. Otherwise, in this league, any opposition whether it’s Tottenham Hotspur or Watford, will EAT you ALIVE.
I personally got sucked right in from Tuesday Night. What a fool I am, outright.
What is the point in the purchase of Andy Robertson? And if there was that much doubt, then reinstall James Milner.
Little Phillipe will play his heart for us all day long as long as he remains an LFC player. Ultimately however, it’s Snakes and Ladders and as far as we’re concerned, 1
Ladder up and 3 Snakes down. My fear at this moment in time is the Manager wrongly being the fall of the axe. That really cannot be._____________________________

Why on earth did Mignolet galavant for the first goal?
The second from him was typical surrender.

Our owners should be put to great shame. 2017 and Liverpool Football Club already out of the League Cup, should be ashamed of themselves.
80/1.
No pride, no self-respect.

Thankyou Nine, very much appreciated.
At the moment, until even seeing the highlights, I can’t grasp hold of the overall picture.
What I do know is that we were exposed clearly from the left flank, and we paid a heavy price.
Surely, none of us are blind to recognise and acknowledge Moreno being a common denominator.
The problem lies with repetition time to time and mistakes simply not overturned once and for all for the better.

Actually just come back from a work presentation in which I received a bit of recognition for my efforts and was unaware of what went on from listening to the radio and leaving it after Salah pulled one back for us. So I’m not in the ‘mode’ of being downbeat and depressed.
I’ll take this opportunity to congrat my Tottenham pal Chucky on here and fellow Spurs fans.
All I can say is if we going to continue playing Moreno and a half-injured played, you’ve effectively surrendered, or are burying your head in the sand and ignoring the problem or playing with 9/10 men.
That can’t be afforded against a genuine quality outfit with a Top Class English striker and a team that has come close to winning the PL title at least once in recent seasons.
We are the master of our downfall and the buck stops with us. Whether or not the Manager is to blame for selection of players or whether that reaches right the way through to the owners. But it’s a crucial talking point because as it stands even with only 9 games played, Liverpool are more closer to being relegated than winning the title.

Didn’t realise Wijn was injured altogether, thus, Milner brought in place.

22nd October 2017 at 3:28 pm in reply to: Poll- Who will be the next Premier League Manager to go? #6490I think Koeman’s a goner now.
This is absolutely bizzare given the financial clout they now have along with the players bought in the summer. One of which involving a highly rated Jordan Pickford. He’s conceded 5 goals today.
You’d think at the start of the season, they’d be knocking on the door for 4th place. Instead, it’s completely up-side-down and now find themselves in the bottom 3.

4-1 and 10 men Everton ripped apart by the Gunners.

Trippier is in place of Dier I believe, Nine.
Some other guy called Sanchez is also in, plus Harry Winks.

Line up confirmed. I feel assured with Klopp choosing to start with Milner to play alongside Can and Henderson. Good decision to omit Wijn. This means Henderson will have the license to support the front 3 with his passing with Milner and Can protecting the back 4.
Firmino is probably in as essentially, we don’t have any strikers, albeit a misfiring Sturridge and a young and a newbie in Solanke. Hopefully though, this kid is allowed a run out in the second half.
Pleased overall and I believe we can enjoy a good day out in Wembley and even come away with all 3 points.

22nd October 2017 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Poll- Who will be the next Premier League Manager to go? #6479Surely a toss up now between Koeman and Bilic.
Quite surprised earlier this weekend Shakespear been given the boot.
An argument could be whether this is generally good practice to be firing managers with a mere 9 games in.

Chucky, that’s the thing mate. A win for your boys would put you on par with the Manchester clubs which is what the chasing teams beneath should be aware of if any one of those had serious title aspirations or an aim just to try and push as high up as possible.
10 points isn’t really considered a big deal 9 games in and that can change quite quickly within 2-3 matches if City and United are off the gas pedal with draws and defeats.
But that theory can’t be solely relied upon for the pair to slip up. The others too have to step up and put together back to back wins.

Goatistuta, I think your fixture against Jose and the devils isn’t too far away. A good opportunity to place some breathing space. I do think though if Tottenham beat us and notch up 2 or 3 wins, there’s a chance of them challenging City.
I was chatting about this in the pub last week on the subject of Lakaku and the point made was that in some games, he’s simply not there to fire the bullets.

Still find the United result hard to believe, genuinely. On the point of this thread of buses, anybody see Jose’s pre-match interview? He was quite kryptic when alluding to Huddersfield’s approach hahaha 😀 😉
