Once the Medical is passed, Chucky is treating little brother Banjo to a nice Picnic – in the Winter – to celebrate Leyton Orient’s new signing π π π

Pax, from my experience of it growing up 20 years ago (showing my age! :-D) to how it’s evolved, as described in my previous 2 replies, it just reminds me of a black hole and how my High Street is now.
Back then, this was revolutionary in being able to be the first in delivering News Stories and Updates. There was no Sky Sports News or anything of that ilk really back in 1998.
I relied on Ceefax, Itv Teletext, and those adds on the side called Clubcall – I’m sure I even phoned up these ads and ran up a bit of extra’s on my folks’ Telephone Bill!
The key fulfilment of the Site for me was having regular interaction with posters and back then, we were fortunate to even have our own Club Editor who would regularly chip in with his thoughts. We had 2 Editors.
I remember some kind of a revamp around 2010 of the site and remember the change at first not going down too well and one of those issues being on Login-in.
There was a good change I felt on your say where one post sent by a poster could be replied on and that would essentially be your thread of conversation. Mark Holmes was fantastic in being able to edit and update the page on a regular basis which kept the chat active, interesting and thriving.
That fella put his heart and soul into the site, you could tell. And with this creation a few years or so bad, the Site was pretty healthy despite the withdrawal of a massive sponsorship from Sky Sports.
I just felt from personal experience, once he had decided to leave the Company, the site just appeared as though to me neglected or delayed on any real attention given or work put in.
I really feel for those loyal contributors and felt that possibly a good 50 percent, even as far as 75 percent gradually just vacuumed and never to be seen again.

What happened to that Medical then? It’s now Tuesday and a deal is still not complete!
I’m an idiot once again for falling for it!

There was loads more in relation to contributors than what’s currently represented on the site.
A big mistake in my view in taking away the other Divisions and the SPL. The lesser clubs had Posters in small groups that seemed local to their clubs.
Aside the analogy I used, the easiest and the most vivid way to describe the change is quite simply a black hole where a truly great Website disappeared along with what I would estimate to a good 50% of it’s Contributors.

I must have misunderstood Pagan – my bad.
Putting what could have been spoken and heard to one side, a crowd of people saw a push that was with aggression and one of which could have impacted serious injury.
Yet some portion of people immediately want to condemn Robbie the moment something is mention about an alleged racist remark.

Haha, no worries Mav.
I thought ‘Watford’ stemmed from when Watford were either at Vicarage Road or Old Trafford playing United and were a goal up or something under Van Gaal.
Lol, I think they had some good results or some ‘overwhelming’ outcomes, and people who understood the joke just joined in with ‘Watford’.
It’s all Solvite, Skin tight T’shirts, Big Hair and a Certain John Barnes pre 1987 lol π

And would the Ref conveniently be carrying a Dictation Machine or his Smartphone and have the Record Button on stand by?
The verbals could have been in a language outside English speaking Pagan!

9th January 2018 at 4:37 pm in reply to: Mayor of liverpool contacts the police over Ross Barkley's Chelsea transfer #11826Need somebody like him on board just should FSG play up – hahahah π
This is hilarious whichever way you look at it π
I’d be more bothered about my weekly bin collection and the state of my ‘manor’ than a player’s transfer move that I probably won’t have a say in lol!

Haha, just read your comment, Mav, made me smile π Thought you and him were Pals and that’s why you time to time ‘christen’ threads with ‘Watford’ lol π Only playing mate.

And by the way, just read elsewhere on the off chance this being compared to ‘Suarez-Evra’ and ‘T-shirts’.
Gosh, let’s not even go there!

Hightown, just pulled this part out of your comments as I had an exact incline in my mind:
“it is Holgateβs word against Firminoβs, and as the ref was right there at the time of the alleged comment and didnβt hear anything”

As for Teamtalk, to put it into analogy: Looking at it just pains me because the site I came across and fell in love with against what is now…..
It just comes across as though it’s on it’s last legs.
I never realized till once not long ago just how brilliant and an asset Live Scores was on a Saturday. They were spot on with updates against Real Time.
Sky were a big outlet of their Sponsor and they had a proper Headquarters in Leeds.

Amen to that Ed, and thanks for creating all this for us guys, it’s truly great.
I wish there was a way you could make some dough out of this. There is something in it via advertising and hits.
I was thinking of creating a You tube channel (something I never taken the plunge) to deliver employability skills – just the basics, but have no idea what it could fetch or the impact it could potentially make to raise the profile.
