Happy to be back to winning ways. That’s all that matters.
My problem purely and simply is building a momentum of good results and in reality under Jurgen, we’ve failed.
There is no 4 wins on the bounce or 5 games without defeat just to throw out there off the top of my head in reckoning.
Work to clearly work on and ultimately, let’s live it by the day and take it week by week.

Brian, take all your points.
Ideally to a degree, the FA and Club Managers should work together to ensure consistency in development of these players.
We’re succumbed admittedly as football supporters (purely down to nature) in being wrapped up in the comings and goings of our own club, and results delivered domestically.
Club Managers are naturally homed in on focus solely on what they can deliver because of the targets set and the pressure of Employers/Owners.
Got to ultimately hope these individual players find their way the right way.

Well, lightly or fundamentally, it’s a double argument for the goodness being that Jose achieves results. I myself feel he’s destroying football with Buses, Coaches, Tractors, et al.
I don’t know. If Liverpool could win the league for example in such pragmatic and a stringent way, off course, I’d be delighted, however, I am known for being ultra critical of Rafa’s own defensive approach and attacking restrictions placed; some games to my recollection ended in horrible draws at home that need a Steve McMananman run 86, and Robbie Fowler finishing on 90 right on the Referees whistle!
4 minutes for a sprint and dribble is too long 😀

28th October 2017 at 8:26 pm in reply to: Jason Cundy and Robbie Savage: One or the other? Both? Or Neither? #6801Brian, thanks for the reply.
I would say all in all, it depends on what you as a Listener want. My personal reasoning is to gain a perspective ideally for those calling attended the games.
However, I do like both Robbie and Jason because they will speak the voice in my opinion on what the majority of supporters for example are thinking or feeling (at the time).

Wonderful achievement for a very young team.
The challenge now for a lifetime to come is how these very young footballers are guided (if they are), the opportunities presented or worked for when it comes to club football, and the choices made.
Being considered for the national team (which is an honour when you are selected) is earned on merit through club performances.
You would think the theory being to try and bag yourself a high profile club. But as we know, it’s very easy to be faded out in the background than to be noticed and allowed the game time in the first team.
Sincere best wishes to all those involved because I would love for them to represent our national team, senior level in the not too distant future.

999, that was driven on spite mate as a competitive point of view as I don’t want City to be winning every week. They been impressive don’t get me wrong and I’d credit them, but just don’t want to see them pick up 3 points every week.

At last, a decent win for us!
Shame City didn’t drop points, but you can’t have it all. Time to try and build a momentum on this result. West Ham next Saturday!

We need a win and supporters to get behind the Club.

Salah so far has been working tirelessly and has been one of the key components for us. Kudos to the fella. It seems as though Klopp’s little brother or good friend in the Huddersfield boss appears pretty confident going into the game.
It could be a matter of our supporters really getting behind the reds and give a newly promoted team a footballing lesson. 5-0 is not a write off!

It’s a shame Kane’s not going to be available for tomorrow. Spurs to be fair have a good form guide so far away from home, so whether Poch will go for setting his stall out and play for a draw, he’d probably be the happier of the 2 managers. Lorente’s gotta get involved and it would probably take also for Errikson and/or Alli to step it up.
I wouldn’t rule out on the other hand a 2-0 United Victory with both of them goals being scored in the last 10 minutes.

The women are now muscling in with their ‘feminism’! That’s not me being sexist by the way, just their approach through the national media.

The one singing defensive-wise that has come up trumps for us is Joel Matip. What I simply struggle to comprehend with is signing somebody who you’d think would be either ahead in the pecking order or a complete replacement for the future is sat waiting on the sidelines: Karius, Robertson.
And one of the worst parts of this is lack of resources (as mentioned in and around my previous reply) when you have your main right-back with a back injury.
Is this all completely down to Jurgen Klopp and does he really have such great control over decisions made and actions taken on the pitch?

You could argue for maybe one or two, even 3, but for an entire defensive unit and a keeper with a variable of vulnerability attached to their skills-set cannot be justified and simply isn’t viable to make serious progress (albeit top 4 last season).
Klopp has remain with players that are not even his players as far as the defence goes, and as rightly mentioned, has tried to counteract this with his attacking philosophy. When you have no real striker (I have never considered Firmino in my view as one), and when you’re short of key ammunition like Sadio and Adam Lallana, then you’re just making life more comfortable for the opposition.
It’s funny how I looked at Jose’s back 4, and practically for example, the defence he inherited remain the same, albeit Eric Bailey and one new guy signed; the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Daily Blind play, and yet, they have a howler in them. David De Gea though has always been first class. Simon Mignolet hasn’t. A parallel of a comparison is that Jose naturally is more defensive and bought Matic to guard the defence.
If we do stick with Klopp, maybe the arrival of Kieta might bring us something we’ve lacked, but our organisation when it comes to addressing what we need and contingencies are feeble. Nathanial has carried a back injury for ages, and yet we rely on an inexperienced youngster.
JK can’t get any different mileage out of Brendan’s stock with individuals like Mignolet, Lovren and Moreno, because we can’t remain focused over the course of 90 mins, and plus, we just struggle consistently with set pieces, ariel threats and second balls.

I had a brief look at this the other day as a notable statistic of form and in relation to the Prem, the last time we had won 3 League games on the bounce was around December of last year.
On this form, there is no way in the world we’ll make top 4, because United for instance have improved. Tottenham and Man City are dead certs in my eye, so that would leave Arsenal and Chelsea to take a dip.
I don’t really see any other outsider threatening the big-boys so the opportunity is there, but we’re the master of our own downfall and effectively screwing this up.
This is why frustration continues to boil.

Another year and season written off then. So effectively, I’m wasting my time and Our Owners are Gold Top.
What’s seriously the point of all this when everything in enjoyment is just filtered week in week out through the funnel of one or two clubs?
No sincere comfort for the rest of us.

We missing individuals best suited to the Gengenpressing, otherwise, I’ve never really noticed that much of a difference to what has been exhibited (compared to the type of football Liverpool are accustomed to deliver). For example: You need Mane as a finisher and the creativity of Adam Lallana.
It’s an absolute fair assessment from posters on Klopp placing emphasis solely on attack and forming no protection whatsoever. That aspect I would be critical of.
However, I do like him as a person and generally as a Manager and that’s why I felt for him, not to mention the point of things just not going for us, i.e. losing 2 cup finals.
I do feel the transfer windows have been challenging from a recruitment point of view, but from a shipping out point of view, we have cleared a lot of excess. What hasn’t changed though is certain personnel remaining with us like Lovren and Mignolet and this is what supporters quite frankly are fed up of and subsequently redundant because these drums have been banged over and over again.

All good replies and resonate with each and every one. He’s been a great fit as a person and how well he’s liked by our own supporters, but I can see why Jason Cundy for example calls him ‘Brendan Klopp’.
If you persist with a combination of Mignolet, Lovren and Moreno, you’re simply kidding yourself with their tract records.
I would genuinely be sad to see Klopp leave Liverpool should a change be made.
