That needed coming – get in! It’s been frustrating to watch otherwise with balls just pumped up in the air every other time.

A win would close the gap and level with both Arsenal and Chelsea, but it wouldn’t move us up any higher unless we were to hit 6!

It seems Mane could be available tonight. Sooner rather than later, wow: that’s a huge turn up for the books.

3rd November 2017 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #7055You don’t ridicule repeatedly or incessantly during a Live Football Game. If this was during say ‘Drivetime’ or just though a standard phone in, in which Joey Barton was involved in, channel through essentially ones credentials. However, please don’t ridicule a person’s weight (which was more than once, emphasized during the match (God’s honest truth)).

3rd November 2017 at 10:33 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #7052It was during a live game incessantly. Joey Barton emphasized on David Unsworth’s weight, made numerous remarks and jokes of.
It was not really a position to really comment in depth of one’s credentials. He was merely caretaker.
Gosh, this has all gone ballistic.
I really think this is personal as if I had not raised the point and somebody else other than me did, guaranteed it would raise the support. Everything else meanwhile is confirmation.

Thankyou gents. I sincerely see this as difficult. Basically, there’s a tendency of something blowing up! That’s the reality as far as where we are concerned.
If I form a thread, I try my best to be as positive.

3rd November 2017 at 10:03 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #7049I sincerely try and find ‘somewhere else’. Barton is supported on live radio in the manner it was conducted during a live game, heaven forbid. I sincerely don’t know who’s crossed the border of Friday Night Shandys and I’m not taking the mick here.
Seems there’s more of an ego, than somebody objective.

3rd November 2017 at 9:11 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #7040I’ve said what I’ve had to said, and people have just riled into me rather than focused on the point, so I’ll kindly leave it there – it was always about the manner during a live broadcasting game in which, circumstances permitted, not everybody regularly can be relaxed in the comfort of their home or in a Pub, or at an actual stadium, or wherever.

3rd November 2017 at 9:08 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #7039You don’t insult somebody incessantly during a live broadcasting game. That’s the etiquette. Follow it through like your kind self 999 in explanatory, broken down, regardless of one agreeing or disagreeing, but honestly, not during a live game. That Podcast or rerun is on the Website and I’m certain for anybody new listening in, it comes across sincerely crude like a couple of adolescent teenagers. That was my whole point, not the merit on David Unsworth which clearly has been misunderstood albeit by Jim.
Deary me.

It’s times like this where I’m reminding myself of a certain R9 🙂 That was ‘the’ Real Madrid. Seems at the mo, a slight technical glitch.
Anyway Chucky, there’s nothing but good press received on here so far haha 😀 🙂
No Daily Star needed 😉

3rd November 2017 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #7034Jim, spot on.
I’ve no qualms for different opinions, all healthy.
The thing that got to me that it was during an actual live broadcasting of a game on a Sunday afternoon. Probably as a 15/17 year old back in another lifetime, I wouldn’t have even registered a syllable of what Barton (on more than one occasion) pointed out.
I’m actually more annoyed with Matterface for not putting a lid on Barton as ‘the Commentator’.
It’s laughable and wasting my breath essentially on one playground insensitive ‘silly’ human being going out of his way clearly to throw a spanner.
I’ll say this though: I miss and would love for Everton to have back ex players such as David Unsworth, and most definitely, Big Dunc. Haha 🙂

Gosh, I wish this was my world. Just nice and straight-forward. Just looked at the ‘As it stands table’ and we remain Top with a healthy goal difference.
I sincerely hope we put something into this. And sod it the land of lands, anything said or published against our beloved. They’re just spoilers anyway who deep down don’t want Liverpool to do well!!!!!

30th October 2017 at 11:15 pm in reply to: Joey Barton horrible treatment towards David Unsworth #6845I don’t think in all my years of following football have I ever seen a co-commentator or a so-called pundit comment repeatedly on somebody’s weight.
Of course, credentials comes in when one is being considered to be employed. But with Unsworth, it’s an interim appointment.
And if he was told or if he wasn’t hired on a permanent basis because of the way he was perceived by his weight, it’s direct discrimination.
The culture of talksport usually comes across as relaxed and informal, but Barton was just outright crude and incessant when commenting on personal appearance.

You need good solid financial clout and to be able to back the Manager. Granted, Pep had his first season experience in the PL and he wanted insist on his style of football. He made the necessary changes and clearly is not backwards when needing to move certain individuals on in order to address issues properly.
That’s where with my own club I feel aggrieved that we are still sticking with certain individuals inspite of bringing in new faces, possibly because they themselves haven’t hit the ground straight away.

Nine, haha, it’s a clear distinction that stays with me 🙂 🙂
On the point re Jose, I’m not a fan of his or his style of football as such, but I don’t get him being criticised when his team beat a top quality outfit and took all 3 points. What does it matter to anyone if it’s 1-0 or 4-0?
There’s just too much focus on Man City at the moment me thinks and not enough of the other PL teams are given equal spotlight.

Jim, I would give credence to their consistency, but what’s anything new from last week or the week before? To much thinking time me thinks. The pundits maybe in the BBC studio are running out of compliments!
A mere 10 games and it’s portrayed by certain sections of the media as if to say they have already won it. And on the basis of attacking football, this time last year, we were high-flying until it went all pear-shaped for us.

Just browsed on the BBC website, so there’s an article criticising Jose for winning 1-0, and on the other hand (once a again!) waxed lyrical on Man City.
Nothing’s changed since last week points-diff between the 2 Manchester clubs. There’s just added thrust on being critical towards Jose whilst bigging up Pep. I’m not a fan of neither don’t get me wrong, but it’s this in my view that’s killing a steady flow of week by week football, and just absorbing it all as a fan.
