14th November 2017 at 9:23 pm in reply to: England V Brazil – Tuesday 8pm / Italy fail to qualify for the World Cup #7475Rashford really in essence is the only real player out there with poise to pose threat.
Southgate just wants this ‘over and done’ with. Kinda sad state of affairs in more focus to derail a genuine quality outfit.

14th November 2017 at 9:02 pm in reply to: England V Brazil – Tuesday 8pm / Italy fail to qualify for the World Cup #7471I was very fortunate to see Brazil play live in England many years back; at the point of the original R9. He was I think at the time 17/18. Romario (Given Brazil were World Champions) and Edmundo were the highlights. Notably, they always collectively have embedded, close control, ability to find space, the dribble, and the pass.
“Put me through mate”
Guaranteed: I’m on to a winner.

14th November 2017 at 8:50 pm in reply to: England V Brazil – Tuesday 8pm / Italy fail to qualify for the World Cup #7467Half-time, and well, at best, England have kept Brazil at bay, and at best, I have thoroughly enjoying the Brazilians, Neymar and co. Fourty-Five-Minutes: almost Instantaneous. What comfort and breeze 🙂

14th November 2017 at 8:46 pm in reply to: England V Brazil – Tuesday 8pm / Italy fail to qualify for the World Cup #7465It just makes me think to sum up the first half, unless we have a 1984 up and coming John Barnes or a 1990 Paul Gascoigne, we can seriously forget about even qualifying and making the 2nd phase. Obviously and naturally, the big guns are to come and I’m saying all this blindly and loosely, but I’m just tired of so much structure and thought being put in to the point we have ROBOTS in our national team.
Take a leaf out of Brazil. That’s the real tuition. YNWA

14th November 2017 at 8:17 pm in reply to: England V Brazil – Tuesday 8pm / Italy fail to qualify for the World Cup #7456Even at just the early stages on observation, really pleased I must say in Brazil following suit in the way they play. It’s energetic, positive, workmanlike, but always looking to get the ball forward and make headway, quickly and effectively.

Providing (and a big ask might I say) we keep focused and win our OWN game, there’s going to be points dropped as far as teams above us are concerned, i.e. Arsenal and Spurs.
Either one of them could be the beneficiary of 3 points or honours even. Though Spurs have got an away win in them for this North London Derby, you don’t know which Gunners side will turn up and they themselves might have something in their locker that could raise a few eyebrows.
Leicester-Man City could turn out to be a meaty clash as the Foxes won’t be shy in getting stuck in. If City continue with their slick fluid game, then it could quite easily be a comfortable afternoon for them.
As for United, this is the acid test for the way Rafa Benitez likes to set himself up and against Jose, he will truly be up for this one, Old Trafford on not. On paper though, I can see a 5-0 thrashing.
Really looking forward to getting domestic football back on track as of now right the way through to the remainder of this calendar year, every point is worth grabbing hold of.

11th November 2017 at 9:56 am in reply to: England V Germany – Friday 8pm – VAR to be introduced at Wembley! #7419Nah, you didn’t Jim. But then again, I may have watched something different to others. What a pain. Hardly any experienced players as such and nothing really from my point of view to feel excited about.
All this at an expense of an entire weekend of domestic football. They should just play the one on a Wednesday night.

10th November 2017 at 10:00 pm in reply to: England V Germany – Friday 8pm – VAR to be introduced at Wembley! #7416From my own point of view, what a sad state of affairs and just sheer boredom. Why would and why should any England fan/supporter (whatever they want to label) put themselves through this?
Sheer trash be a friendly or not and not losing the game.
Nothing really to feel excited about, sadly. This is ‘THE’ depression, to make one feel depressed.

Above all from a Liverpool point of view if Liverpool can’t win the League Championship, the simply rather the alternative. Fairenough. At some point though, one would think: FENWAY SPORTS GROUP. So what are they here for?
Are they here for mid table Liverpool or Premier League Liverpool?
Russian and Arab so and sos enjoy your day as Liverpool Football Club is genuinely loved and our time will come. But then I’m told when I’m wishing for new owners: be careful what you wish for: Chelsea and Manchester City: be careful what you wish for. Seems so far a flurry of Flowers and Chocolates.
Liverpool Football Club only need one to equal and 2 to leap over Manchester United.

Goatistuta, genuinely welcomed your view point mate and a sound point raised.
I was fortunate to see him recently live and Jordan was just fabulous once placed in the centre circle biased towards the attack. That sums him up. He is good at doubling up or being the back up when it comes to our own half, however, in his DNA, he can’t deliver a wholesome ‘box to box’, say in the example of Roy Keane.
Believe me, Henderson made me split hairs, but I don’t know, since he has turned Captain, and that ability to thread a ball like Steven Gerrard, I’ve taken a liking to the guy and recognize his skills set.
If allowed however, Oxlaid bedding in and owning Central Midfield by making a real impact could cause Jurgen klopp selection problems and potentially, a forced move to drop Henderson.
I honestly could have sworn when he was at Sunderland, he played right-back.
Food for thought.

Jim, I relaxed and kind as they come, but it just seems at times pulling teeth and hard work when it comes to trying to socially engage and find a balance between good humour and feeling passionate about Liverpool.
I will NEVER lose the belief unless mathematically impossible of forecasting a possibility for my club to climb the table. People think it’s personally attributed to them, but it’s essentially just looking after my own and admittedly one can subject to being precious and exhibiting pride.
Respect.

Chucky, hahaha nice work. For a moment there I thought that was Joe Hart! Mignolet gets loads of stick at times, sometimes justified, but often, just pick on by convenience and reputation.
I think looking at Everton, I’m starting to have doubts on Jordan Pickford.
Hart seems to me meanwhile in just collecting his weekly pay packet.

Well above all a good week from a Liverpool point of view. The teams above us were forced to face either this week so inevitably, points were going to be dropped.
Hard work, but 2nd spot for example is not out of the question and something to aim for in my strong opinion. Maybe City can slip up and I believe sooner or later they will.
From our point of view we need to just keep winning games and have that belief and confidence in ourselves.
A special mention to David Unsworth and a big well done for pulling off a comeback over Watford in what could have been a different result altogether. I hope he is in the running for the Everton job.

Jim, at least you understand and take it in the way it is meant to be. Of course we want pleasantries and sound exchanges, but also, people have to accept when opposition fans want the OTHER team to lose. It’s competitive and perfectly normal. No need for certain individuals to get on their hobby horse, monopolize conversation and TWIST everything out of context!

999, steady on, this is not your site so you don’t have any right as such dictating what I can and can’t think so don’t you be taking the ‘sensible’ tone and monopolize others. It’s up to me what I think. I may have gone into orbit because you come across two-faced. You’re saying things like “a comfortable Liverpool victory” or words to that effect, then the minute I get my hopes up, you come out with “oh but watch out for Andy Carroll”. That’s your regularity pal, so please quit this attitude or kindly refrain from exchanging conversations. I don’t care all day long if you wanted Liverpool to win every single game as you’re a Chelsea supporter and I would expect nothing different, as with any other opposition club, but it’s the two-faced or the mix-messages I don’t like. It’s not your place to dictate and TELL ME what I can and can’t do.
