That should now settle it – 4-0 and great header from Robbie Firmino.

Maybe a bit of both, Pagan but I would imagine largely in percentages, there would be the handling of requests from Managers. There needs to be more involvement from the 4th official in the first place to observe and take note.
If there is evidence of officials being proactive, then this would fill Managers with greater confidence and this in itself would iron out the inconsistencies.

Would have been delighted just to go into the break at 0-0 away from home, but this has been a measured Liverpool coming right out of the blocks from the first whistle and deserving of their 3-0 advantage.
Bournemouth to be fair to them before Liverpool’s 3rd did themselves finally come out of the traps and turn the screw on us and had Defoe’s effort gone in, then it may have been a different story come half-time.
We have been here before this time last season, so nothing to take for granted and we have to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself, but in the meantime, we’re in fine fettle and enjoying it 🙂

Lol 😀
Dejan Lovren of all people! 😀
Right place at the right time – 2 Nil and The Reds have been worthy given the amount of pressing right from the first whistle.

Should have been a goal up. What a freekick from Coutinho and the follow up effort.
There’s a goal defo in the pipeline from us – only a matter of time.

17th December 2017 at 12:25 pm in reply to: Wayne Clarke 1987 – Ending Liverpool's 29 unbeaten run of League games #9056It’s a possibility, but even so, they’d be a fair fight and I can’t see us honestly being played off the park like other teams so far have done. There is something special about Anfield, but then, that’s my bias all over.

What I’d like to see is Managers given more of a fair deal. Emotions naturally run high if you have suffered a defeat and if it’s in a manner where you feel of injustice, then of course you’re going to speak up. That’s human nature.
The reporters and journalist effectively set you a trap and you can’t help but to walk into it.
And a damn if you do and damn if you don’t. When you make it clear you don’t want to discuss those matters, rather then a dignified nod of the head and swiftly moving on, those reporters ‘double-check’.
“Did you not hear what I’ve just said”?
The FA need to be doing their bit and if Managers feel injustice, they should feel they can approach the authorities quite easily and have their grievance at least investigated.
More needs to be done retrospectively so whoever they are, they can’t get away with it.

Mav, hello mate, just seen your reply re 9:24. Just winding down from work mate. I second my thoughts, though a lot more chilled out. It’s frustrating when it’s just one team talked about and no so much the one you would like it to be aside your own.
I do hope you are right.
If I’m brutally honest, it’s not City I have a problem with, but clouding a lot of my judgement from my dislike of Pep – don’t like the man, but truly was a pet to Manual Pellegrini as he was a true Gentleman and he was just ace back in 2014.
Just wish there would be 2/3/4 teams on par with one of them being my own – feels pretty disheartening being held back from our previous 2 results and going deeper, being held back for 27 years as I for one desperately want the League Title, but it is what it is and just have to get on with it hoping for the better.
Cheers mate.

Agree with that Ed. Uncharacteristic from a Leicester point of view, but an hugely impressive victory from Palace. If I’m right in believing, that was their first away win.

When you see 52 against the gap of 38 points on Man United and then only 1 game drawn out of the 18 played, you have to say that’s just hugely impressive from Man City.
I’m pretty sure from the 25 or so years of living through the experience of the Premier League, this has to be a first in the amount of points acquired this stage of the season.

It’s just so narrow minded, conditioned and contrived, in essence, fundamentally.
We don’t have any representation day to day to LIFT Liverpool Football Club.
If this is just about Chelsea, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, then this truly is mistaken for me in what this site is in offering, because quite frankly, I’ve heard nothing but about Manchester City.

Sadly, and I say this with cheerfulness but always with honesty in not holding back: This isn’t a true life Forum representation; just isn’t.
The thinking is swayed so easily on the Here and Now. People just jump on the Bandwagon.
I would tomorrow gladly be somebody’s Penpal as they genuinely existed before the existence and ‘enterprise’ of the Internet, globally, naturally.
Why is this purely and simply pandering to Manchester City? So they’ve come into money. Fundamental they, Chelsea and any other club away from Liverpool. It’s a killer blow we haven’t won the League Championship since 1990. All this Match Of The Day now, just seems contrived. It’s not what I enjoyed back in 1994.
You think this is life? This isn’t. Just simply robotic and a world of scrutiny rather than being in nature.

I’m going to echo this in the game thread. This time last year and this is what reminds me of this in the first place: Beating Watford 6-0 and after that, it all went downhill with Coutinho being injured and Mane committed to Afcon.
If I am overreacting then so be it: Whenever we get a chance to close in or overtake Chelsea, Man United, this is a horrible PUNCH IN THE STOMACH. Do we deserve that against the most rubbish of teams this season so far that no doubt will LOSE at least one match in their next 3 up and coming fixtures.
It’s happened far too much in my lifetime with these type of patterns and we’ve simply not addressed this. We need a Rush, Fowler or simply a Luis Suarez to Fire this ball into the back of the NET.
Now those upstairs please please please: feel our pain once and for all, do something about it, and buy somebody who is a Natural Striker and will do nothing, but bury the ball into the back of the net!!!!!

Kick in the guts, and humiliation. Anti football. You’d want to swing for these guys in full flow. Not hatred, not resentment, just annoyance that drives one bitter and angry – purely like me.

Goal disallowed and not closing in on Chelsea. Disgraceful. I don’t hate West Brom, I just hate what they service and Ben Foster. Makes me angry and this sort of stuff just brings out the anger. I hate it so much because we squander. I HATE IT.
Now lots of work to do on our away fixtures. We the hell are we so stiff and rubbish? Where’s our Goalscorers? Do we have any?
This is a every so often insult and this is ruining my nights big time.

It’s just a rubbish unproductive and costing to us so far. I love Jurgen and rarely place any blame on his doorstep because he genuinely cares and a 100 times what Souness was in charge of Liverpool.
But the Geezer needs help and somebody special of high quality to support in putting through sound passes
together and breaking the deadlock._____________________________
