Strong line up for us – slight disagreement ala Wijn and Can, but Can is a little bit more vocal and we need some of his hustle and bustle. Hope though he can stick to his position play to support the back 4.
Time to get the box on 🙂

Nine, they are, but they are also a couple of wins or ‘A’ win from being more closer to the middle of the table.
Anything upto 8th place Leicester is almost a level playing field which shows from that point of view how evenly balanced the PL is. But that can put a bit of a strain on the Managers of teams not too far off the foot of the table.
The problem for them is that those boys upstairs don’t have the patience and thus the number of sackings we’ve had so far this season, though one could argue the case of changes needed and you only have to look in both the directions of Everton and Palace to see why.
Maybe it’s time up for Mark Hughes, maybe not.

A lovely ideal would be to keep a clean sheet and replicate the scoreline from Boxing Day strengthening our goal difference.
Wonderful to see from the other day TAA and Ox get on the scoresheet. Always a bonus when other players are chipping in goals away from the usual suspects. Firmino is more like an out an out Striker now. With Solanke being bedded in too, at best Sturridges’ opportunities are likely to be limited, aside his ongoing battle with injuries.
Gotta pass that ball with crisp. I think with it seemingly raining at Anfield, we’ll see quite easily the zip of the ball and with speed, who knows whether we could be fortuned with a set piece outside the box or a penalty.

Stoke are sort of in between as a couple of wins would steer them closer if not mid-table, but on the other hand, a defeat this afternoon could see them plummet towards the foot of the table.
Not good if Chelsea were to win and score heavily too. I could see pressure mounting on Hughes and it just goes to show how wide open yet marginally close this league is top to toe aside Man City.

Tuning into the Radio for Celtic-Rangers 12:00 – that’ll be an interesting one.
Wonder if Gers can cause an upset!

Thanks C-Man.
Although from the key players we’re missing Hendo, we’ve got pretty much a clean bill of health when it comes to selecting team and whatever Klopp decides to pick should be enough to contain the threat of Mahrez and Vardy.
Just need to obviously be vigilant on set pieces to and the ariel threat around the back. Need 3 points and don’t want anything less to make up for loss ground and keep up with Chelsea and United.

Mav, not sure about that on Hazard, but I get what you mean in principle. I’d attribute that type of attitude more in the direction of somebody like Sanchez and Ozil.

It doesn’t carry a great deal of weight in the modern day Pagan. As soon as the guy’s head is turned, that is it and it’s those playing in the Premier League that to an extent are living in slight fear at the prospect of losing their best player at the hands of the same 2 you know who’s.
I am cynical and resentful, but it does make me feel a little better when they are served a taste of their own medicine ala PSG.
One big vicious circle in essence.

Real and Barca must be the only clubs on this planet allowed a 60 months ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ hahaha 😀 😛

This guy has been an example of quality over the years and consistent to plough through those gears and be the cutting edge for Chelsea. Just remember all the good stuff in the years he’s served.

29th December 2017 at 12:52 pm in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10368Ed/Gents, bit of a pipe dream in reality and audacious, but was just thinking this bit of a lazy shot from Jason Cundy labelling Brendan Klopp, this to me is growing as a more improved team since his arrival back in October 2015.
It’s been slow, ok, but gradual in bringing in new faces and replacing old ones. I still think we just need that little bit more aggression out of Gini Wijnaldum but maybe a pairing with Naby Kieta will compliment him, and Van Dijk too.
It looks like the end of the road for Emre Can – looks like Milner could permanently be a fringe player for us and I think JK will invest more in Oxlaid. A question mark perhaps in the direction of Adam Lallana who seems to me after a long lay off to be surplus to requirements.
I think we’ve improved when you consider us offloading the examples of Origi and Lucas Leiva.
We almost have a fulcrum of individuals there so I don’t think should Coutinho leave us, we’ll just keep that position vacant – he’ll bring looking to brining in somebody top-class and enhance on what we already have.

29th December 2017 at 11:16 am in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10360Could be jumping the gun, but was also thinking about the confidence in FSG accepting this value set by the Saints as to whether this has been ignited by an agreement behind the scenes in principle between us and Barca.
I’m led to believe the deal broke down earlier in relation the instalments not being agreed beforehand.

29th December 2017 at 11:08 am in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10359I wouldn’t bet somebody like Sanchez joining us in the midst of all this next summer. We have to have a good run though in the CL, try and win the FA Cup and ensure we finish 4th. There’s a chance then we’ll show even more ambition and I don’t think it’ll be just about balancing the books.

Mav, you might be onto something there with Stoke to face Chelsea this weekend.
Thing’s aren’t at the moment looking too clever for Bournemouth and I think Eddie Howe’s job’s at risk too.

29th December 2017 at 9:33 am in reply to: "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, Van Dijk's coming home" #10352I believe there’s something in that Nine re Coutinho – most probably though in the summer giving the club time to shop for new attacking players and potential replacements.
It makes you think we the number of attacking players we currently have, not one of them really steps forward to take a free-kick or is purely and simply has that quality to unlock defences and stick the ball in the back of the net.
Going forward, there’s likely to be changes and I can see Sturridge leaving. Salah and Mane are fine as either side flank players, but we would need a new hitman and an attacking player of that Coutinho ilk.

There’s a slight feeling of fear come January that we could lose this boy. I was in acceptance back in summer, but the way he’s been performing for us, it would be very hard for us to let him go.
