Well well! Wonders will never cease. Full kudos to Roy Hodgson and his Eagles, did have a slight incline about this game beforehand, but then I thought City will get over the finishing line and as it turned out, they were held.
The chasing pack in Chelsea are the beneficiaries with City’s lead trimmed to 14 points. I was thinking the other day that 6 or 7 wins should do it for the League Title, but not quite sure now.
Brilliant for the sake of spicing things up if there were more results like this. I’m sure along the way, there will be more twists.

Yes it was Pagan. Some online papers have been doing the rounds of this in the last hour.
I think it’s safe to say that a deal has been agreed between the 2 clubs which in fairness is what it is and I accept that.
But the move I’m led to believe wont actually materialize till this Summer.
Commercially speaking, buying is usually done a year ahead so you know the trends in advance. But what’s annoyed me is Nike’s own handling of this by leaking these details.

Pagan, in all fairness to a great extent, a different culture has emerged over the last decade. You are dealing with multi-million pound players and even bigger egos. You shout at a player now and he’s straight away onto his agent.
Maybe in that respect, Fergie’s time was up in relation to his old skool way of man-management.

Jim, agree with you there about motivation. Lakaku it was reported was complaining about tiredness, but that could be a separate matter.
Mkhitaryan for example is a much better than that wasted cross-field ball played early doors yesterday when that really should have been 1-0.
I know Jose is being criticised but in fairness to him, there’s a lot of injuries at the moment and a lot of key players missing.

Claudio Cannigia had his demons along with Maradonna so Gabriel Batistuta in which I love was a genuine breath of fresh air.
Got the VHS footage mate in which I should convert which it being original versus Greece re the opening game of 94. Batistuta: GET THE BALL AND BANG! He was just a sensation – no goal-hanger too; this individual was Powerful and Magnificent in his own right.

I always bang the drums with this and that’s purely because I know I’m making a sound point.
Only 1 draw in their last 7 games but kudos to Chelsea for winning successive games.
I understand the theories made from current table standings, but my theory is “just keep moving forward and try and achieve 3 points”.
3 draws in a row for United now and we ourselves now only sit 3 points behind them given the gap a few weeks or so back.
The first caller I kid you not on 606 as I type is a United fan and has echoed my point. “Forget whether City are title bound, just make sure you focus and try and win your own games” (words to that effect).
Whether or not there is a twist, you are there ready to capitalize. That’s what the course of 38 games is about.
Hopefully, going into 2018, the arrival of Van Dijk steel, and if we were to finish Runners up with a good account of points accumulated, that wouldn’t be a bad achievement and if anything a solid platform to build on to attract new faces of high quality.

Lost my accas today just under a tenner, but no patch on what’s been a delightful and jubilant afternoon claiming all 3 points – great patience and turnaround from the Reds a huge win for us to end 2018.
Going back to bets, no doubt Swansea’s turnaround would have caused an upset – didn’t see that coming.

A big big 3 points for us and absolutely delighted for ALL 3 points. Make no mistake, some relief there too as this game could have ended in more than one outcome.
Leicester tried to exert pressure towards the end like they did last Saturday. They brought on fresh legs and tried to catch us off guard, but huge credit to our guys in really working for each other and seeing out those minutes.
I see a lot of similarities to Man City now not only in our style of play in picking of their defenders and putting the ball over the top, but mentally we are now beginning to improve and we are showing fight and patience against adversity.
Salah of course deserves the plaudits, but Firmino today the way he tracked back and made those important tackles was first class and this is type of grit and determination we need.
Bring on 2018!
