Jurgen Klopp will have something to say haha. Come on the Redmen let’s get one trophy win under our belt as 1 League cup since 2006 is an insult in which we’ve been insulted, largely by Alex Ferguson; Lunn Polly: Get Away!
What an individual to mess up Liverpool throughout the 1990s.

20th January 2018 at 8:49 pm in reply to: Sanchez: layed all eggs in one Basket – Fundamental problem in English Football #13179I will boast cheekily a little on this tonight haha.
I’m really glad Jurgen Klopp made it clear Liverpool weren’t interested in Mahrez. Savage really was a div if anything thinking he was worth in excess of 100m.
That would have poured completely down the drain our Scouts and Brendan Rodgers’ decision back then to sign Phillipe Coutinho.
Really makes me laugh I have to say even living local how Leicester still seem to believe they’re on another level and that certain players are worth millions by a drop of a hat.
If for example, Chelsea invested and nurtured someone from their own Academy then they wouldn’t need a ‘Drinkwater’.
I’m trying my best to save Top Flight English Clubs their money, haha 😀 Buy from Asda, but don’t be shy in growing your own Vegetables.
That would broom out the Agents in one sweep 😀 🙂 🙂

Mav, we don’t know what’s going on in Jose’s head mate. I honestly do see the move as a Positive though; just for a moment take away the age and all the bureaucracy surrounding fees and wages.
Chin up mate 🙂

Soz Mav.
I thought you seemed pleased.
Not sure whether I see it the way you do, though I wholeheartedly agree with you re Wages and Jim’s point on him being a mercenary.
It goes back to my thread of ‘laying all eggs in one basket’ re Sanchez, and I hope people will understand my own level of thinking.
Cheers

Precisely.
I’m not interested in Sky as I don’t particularly like them. I’m just putting it out there down-to-earth from just everyday living of being a Liverpool and a football supporter that I’d like it to go down the wire than let’s say ‘pronounced’ in April.

Yeah Pagan. Mikhi seems a key pawn in all this. He could be Walcott’s replacement.

A report from Telegraph Pagan.
Seems more than a done deal to me.
I think any form of a hold up might have been from Mikhi as it seems to me, he’s part of a deal which from a Neutral point of view sounds exciting as I believe him to be a good value player.

Congrats Mav 🙂 🙂
I am saying this to my rival club friend. Grrrr 😀 hahaha – maybe an injection of a fresh mate that could make the difference.
Incidentally, was just thinking in relation to our lot how we may have missed a trick with Theo Walcott.
Cheers
p.s. a wager of Beer Sanchez is on something like 300 or so K a week 🙂

Wow, Newcastle nearly went a goal up within moments of kicking off. City not woken up.
Just seen the live table which is now a difference of 10 points.
Some hope out there certainly in the meantime for the city of Red in Manchester.

20th January 2018 at 5:33 pm in reply to: Facelift for Match Of The Day: Presenter and 'Pundits' #13146It must be a Saturday Night thing; I looked at the Final Score team this afternoon and I thought pretty good, plus refreshing to have a Female presenter besides Gaby Logan and a Female pundit I think with Jason Roberts.
Shearer I gave the benefit of the doubt as he was slated by a lot when he was first on the scene, but now I just think he’s over-indulged. I think Hansen after a long time went a bit like that, but loved his voice and his ‘debonair’ style.

Pagan, wouldn’t have mattered anyway mate. I had Boreham Wood in too from the National League, and normally, they’re pretty solid, but was a close game and they just lost to Dover, 3-2 and at home too.
Had they and Leeds would have drawn, my bet would have been fine as I normally chose more than one outcome per fixture. I need to be set up online, so that I’m in a position to be able to cash out – even at smaller returns, at least I avoid near misses.
That was most definitely heartbreaking for the Lillywhites as I’m led to believe all season, Millwall haven’t won a game away from home.

20th January 2018 at 3:52 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #13136Pagan, I must be a serial jinx at the mo mate, as I put Leeds in my acca today and guess what: Leeds are 2-0 down to Millwall with a man sent off. There goes potentially another weekend bet out of the window and 4th week on the trot.

20th January 2018 at 3:33 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #13134Pagan, I’m actually confused now too lol 🙂
I think I was trying to respond to Brian’s point on the huge level of tribalism coming out of forums in which I try to respond that to some degree, there is much more of a better experience actually watching the game live and mingling with actual human beings than cyber space.

20th January 2018 at 12:07 pm in reply to: Latest Title Odds – Is it still a foregone conclusion? #13122Brian,
I can’t speak for others, but in my experience (which isn’t a great deal when it comes to being away from the armchair) attending actual grounds breeds a greater deal of satisfaction.
Everyone’s different and I get that, but for me, to gain a plethora of thoughts from the same supporting team is trying to gain common ground. I’ve never been one to holdback as I’ve grown older, and have been exactly the same stood in the stands.
Opposition fans usually give out the bluster, but overall it’s usually in good spirits and there’s no malice.
This can’t be said for all teams though and maybe this stems from rivalry and teams segmented in each of their own geographical locations (e.g. your London clubs). There’s always going to be hostility accustomed to certain fixtures when paired and this is inevitable.

This is well worth a watch if you can spare the time, particularly from 53 secs onwards. All true.
