Nine, I believe there’s a trail of spats between them or it seems Neville is now the ‘new guy’ tangled in what was a couple of times or so, Jamie Redknapp.
Neville’s a former United player so sure, to an extent he’s going to have fondness and care, and of course an opinion.
There notably is a more fundamental point that struck me about this and if we bring the subject of VAR, then we have to consider the integrity of the sport and that means if there was some sort of a booth or a studio full of equipment, then there should not be any external influences that would determine what the Referee decides.

Not sure what I can comment about that place Nine. It seemed redundant to me ever since Mark left – miss the bloke heaps.
There’s an air of preciousness mate about 4th place so opposition fans are locking horns. Wenger’s been found out because both City and Spurs broke that ‘SKY 4’ monopoly.
Admittedly, I couldn’t resist the temptation of scanning through posts from our own club forum only to find the rate of negativity heighted and individual player performances over-critical and practically lambasted. TAA: for me is learning his trade and he just unfortunately got undone by the brilliance of Rashford from a route-one pattern of play.
Now some of our fans aren’t even confident of us getting 4th – just from that one defeat.
My mindset Nine in the meantime remains optimistic and hopeful in finishing second and that’s not to disrespect any of the competition, but it’s how confident I genuinely have felt about us all season.
Cheers

I’d personally like more posters to come on board.

I wish Maine Road was still around. Not that I ever went there, but imagine this current City team playing there now in front of even the Manchester locals?

Wow, did that really happen Nine?
Yeah, kind of last of the BBC old school commentators of that generation and era.
Barry Davis gave it up some years back as with Gerald Sinstadt, and in recent years, we sadly lost Tony Gubba.
Today’s generation of fans missing out, but there are still a few good ones out there on various different broadcasting networks knocking about.
Cheers

I’ve not actually forgotten re events of certain individuals diving at Anfield a few weeks back, but I let it be and I’ve moved on.
As Mav says, life’s too short to get completely sucked into the whys and wherefores.
Until VAR or Officials get together and clean up diving completely not to mention the fouls on our players yesterday at Old Trafford, then effectively we’ll be fighting at times a losing battle.

Haha, true Nine. Wish Plough Lane was around mate, still 🙂
The whole point of all of this is that Wembley for one I dearly regret, why?
When you look at it now, it’s all closed off completely and a Goldfish bowl, compact.
The old was used many in the examples of great concerts. It was a Landmark of London, and my point was that I wouldn’t sincerely want Identity to be taken away. Arsenal and Highbury for me was the biggest of mistakes.
Cheers

Nine, I was fortunate to visit Villa Park mate, a long time ago 🙂
I’d personally love to visit Exeter, Elland Road, and Selhurst Park 🙂

Nine, I’ve seen him play live mate and for me, he’s a presence and no-nonsense.
Personally, I’ve faulted him in the past, but on the other hand, I value him.
Perhaps to some extent, he could have done more to support TAA. Maybe in Hindsight a Steve Nicol, Jim Beglin, Alan Hansen, Mark Lawrenson would have been perfect, but that’s the reality of us.
Always a great deal to have to deal with when opposition defensive duties are incessant, and with very little protection or call of the Referee.

I think differently re Dejan Lovren – easy to pile blame and make him the supposed scapegoat.
Needed really a character and a personality in which we didn’t have.
Don’t fret above all and it’s not the end of the world. No need for an abundance of analysis or thoughts that are negative when it’s could just well have been a bad day in the office.
When people are down, make people feel good, not even more bad.

Well said Ed,
I feel genuinely sad for a Poster not to no longer post.
C/Man for me is part of the lifeblood that makes up this forum of good decent folk on here.
I’m not sure why all this has happened, possibly club rivalries or frustration of some nature.
Just leave it and allow space and fresh air if posters can’t see eye to eye.
Tomorrow, there will be a lot to talk about so please, don’t spoil the mood.

C/Man, you keep posting mate. Appreciate your thoughts on the Liverpool pages and you’re a Gentleman. If anything we need more participants on here.

The Premier League have issued an official statement on the back of the disturbance at the London stadium. I would say Mark Noble for one moment was probably in a very difficult circumstance and anything could have happened to him as far as his own personal safety is concerned.
That simply should not have allowed to have happened and I would question the level of Stewarding and Security factoring everything from the Protest that couldn’t go ahead to the grievance against the men in suits.

One result unfortunately let me down on a 7 team acca, but overall, thought it was a decent effort out of a £1.60 stake.
The unsavoury scenes of anger and upset coming from the London stadium puts our defeat into perspective.
Mark Noble confronted by an angry Hammers supporter. Their supporters are hardcore and passionate. They are really making their feelings known.

Precisely Alfie.
On this season alone, it’s not been about ‘getting one over’ United to finish second, it’s been more about being on par with City and getting the owners to realise where we are and what we need to invest.
The good news as far as paper reports go is that FSG will spend big in the summer.
Cheers

I can’t really see any real negative feeling as far as our set up goes on here.
For the sake of my soul and sanity, I will truly avoid popping over to the other place. We know how Warro is likely to behave which will likely to provoke a reaction from Shanksy.
No way am I going there, neither today, or tomorrow.

Nine, all true there mate.
I like our midfield today, but you’re right in terms of them not really creating anything for the forwards to feed on. They could also have shown more aggression, though Ox, Milner and Can did get more involved in the game from the second half, but needed really somebody with the guts to unleash one and pull the rabbit out of the hat.
I think a wing system like De-Bryne and Sane will be potent for United’s defense to contain.
Cheers
