Just got in from work – was checking my phone for updates, and once we equalized, I was lit up and had the thought for the first time that we’ve reached a level now where we don’t capitulate against the lower teams.
Only Swansea has done us, but other than that, our defeats have all been against teams in the top 6.
That pattern last season was different as we had a better record against the top teams, but were crumbling against those at the lower end of the table.
I check flash scores late on and I see 2-1!
It’s a big big win for us and a big big 3 points. As far as any new injuries go, I think the only player is Adam Lallana.
I’m just delighted and with ease that we’ve come good and now we can fully focus on Wednesday and hopefully give a good account of ourselves.

I wonder if this reflects on how we’re living in today’s modern society.
I ‘buy into’ the fact that these guys are sorry for their actions and okay, their manner of apology in public reflects on them being sincere, but all this staging, tears, and everything else, you’d think they’re about to be doing a life sentence for murder.
What we simply can’t get away from in our everyday world is the involvement of digital media and the world wide web. Unlike a newspaper that’s used to wrap Fish n Chips in the evening, that recording is out there whether you like it or not and more than ever, you have to be mindful of your actions.
It takes time to redeem and rebuild a reputation of honesty and trust.

Sterling’s grown in a lot of confidence leading up to this tournament and he can only get better. He has pace and runs at opposition which we need. He needs the support of others to link up with him when involved in attacking play.

Lallana both club and country has been hit and miss with me at times has left me frustrated purely because I haven’t seen him rise up to his full potential in the same way he did for Southampton.
He’s probably grown to be a better player under Klopp, but I feel his best position is just behind the front 3 in a 4-3-3 set up, but as far as last night went, he was ineffective for me.
What’s the point of him coming on when he’s showing no thrust to penetrate into the opposition’s penalty area?
Showing fancy touches on an unthreatening area of the pitch and taking time to do so just allows opposition to reorganize themselves.
Side to side and backwards passing too, more than less (although that could be criticised against other England players too).
I just Southgate doesn’t fall into the trap of some of predecessors in picking players purely on shirt badge and so-called reputation.

VAR from a neutral’s POV gets the KUDOS for me and that’s why I’ve remained with idea because of critical calls as in the Penalty which it was for me.

The little unnecessary passes is what let’s our momentum down. If we’re 1-0 up, we’re toying with the idea of going for the second goal.
Lallana’s annoyed be a bit since he’s come on – just more into needless flash touches.
We don’t have anybody to head or just attack our crosses from corners.
This spell towards the end has just invited the Italians for an equalizer.

Nine, thanks for your continued support mate.
Sometimes, even I can’t explain at times what gets over me? A rush of blood, but still, I shouldn’t have over-reacted the way I did and if anything, should make more effort to make people feel welcome.
As far as Couts goes mate, he was special for us and Barca don’t just pick up anybody for the sake of it. He stood out in his own way in delivering set pieces, and those runs he made from the left-hand, then cutting into the middle and unleashing one.
He’s wonderful professional and a likeable one too in my eyes. We’ll be able to enjoy him when it’s the World Cup, just as long as England don’t have to face Brazil, should they progress 🙂

Following on the back of Nine’s reply to me earlier, I’ve been as per usual an insensitive fool and a selfish one too. I apologize unreservedly to anybody offended.
Every fan from every club can be allowed to celebrate a current and former player they admire and are fond of.
Even though Phillipe left us for Barca, I still highly regard him.
It’s always a joy when he is gleaming and performing as he instantly reminds me of his Liverpool playing days.
This Boy is still immense 🙂

Smell a bit of a rat with this. It’s manipulation but if this is going on, how can he be confronted? The player himself should be aware and the fact of the matter is that it’s his career that’s going to be messed about with.

Cricket has always been a sport I’ve taken an interest in and love the test matches and the one-days.
It’s a gentleman’s sport and played in good spirits, but even the odd scandal here and there stays in one’s memory for a long time.
The authorities I’m sure will come forward and do what they need to do. It’s damaging for the reputation of the nation because of something underhand and scandalous actions by a very small minority.

I think the split from his wife has hugely affected Ant and he isn’t in a good place.
I’m not making excuses for the guy, but I do feel there’s something more to this than meets the eye.
His brain and focus wasn’t even registered with what he was doing, but that was notorious for me getting behind a wheel and he and others could well have been in serious danger.
