Thanks Alfie.
Grrr, we’ve been fleeced!!!!!
I don’t know if it’s a co-incidence when there’s an array of quality players that use their own agents, but that bill compared to a lot of other clubs is staggering!

Ronnie’s goal was pure textbook.
It just brought back in abundance, memories of what the competition used to feel like and that’s because there was a lot more stella type players who would deliver on the big occasion.
That goal was just a rebirth of Ronaldo – truly admirable.

My thoughts exact C/Man.
I think we can all agree, both Ronnie and Messi have been the Mantle-piece for a solid decade.
Ronnie’s capable playing as a pro quite easily up to 40, if not more. He really looks after himself well and when he’s on the pitch, he is as committed as ever.
I just love the fact that he can sparkle the way he did tonight against the very best teams in Europe.

He’s absolute Box Office.
He is one of the reasons why the Champions League still has that sparkle.

Haha, I’m not surprised on Danny Mills’ ‘verdict’.
Those who have been ex-pros effectively are like you and I and fans of the game. We write lots of opinions on here and I read ‘bloggs’, only they get paid for what they write or say in the public domain.
I’ve personally have learned to try and manage the negativity better by not allowing yourself to be drawn in.
Even as a generally optimistic type of a fan, I’ve pointed out on the match thread our weaknesses and the threat City could pose on us.
When I predicted Liverpool would win emphatically against Man City in the league back in January, that was just pure intuition and I predicted we’d be THE team that would finally end their unbeaten run in the league.
It’s all opinions, and they don’t in reality influence what unravels on the pitch.
Chin up Adlab!

I definitely agree with the point of being able to slow it down and be able to dictate play at our own pace. We should effectively be able to boss it on our own patch.
If we play Milner and Hendo as the 2 holding midfielders, or Wijn, then use Ox as the more of the threatening midfielder, we can certainly control the tempo and buy time to recoup.

Mak, I do get where you’re coming from mate on the point of Gegen. The principles meaning that we trying and keep possession as much as possible in their half by winning the ball quickly if lost.
My only reservation is the athleticism we’re able to sustain over the course of 90 mins.
I only wish at this moment in time, we had a stronger bench to turn to, so that’s my only honest underlying doubt.
Cheers

Yeah, just seen this Chucky on the BBC.
I had a glance of their recent league results, and only 1 win in 12. They had a couple of good results in the Cup at the start of the year including beating us, but they’ve not being scoring a lot of goals, and they remain rooted at the bottom.
Whoever comes in has to find a way to galvanize the squad and start grinding out results.
They have Swansea this coming Saturday at home, and that for me is a must win game. I can’t see them getting anything at Old Trafford, but maybe beating Swansea might install a bit of belief and confidence. They then play Liverpool at home, so maybe a bit of hope there.
But after that, they have Newcastle away, Spurs at Home, and then Palace away on the last day.
It’s going to take some miracle to deliver a great escape out of the remaining 6 games.

There was one point I agreed with on Saturday Night re Barton and that the PL standards have dropped.
From a Liverpool point of view, I’ve trained myself a bit not too dwell and look back too much. For example, Torres yes was good, but now we have Salah. Plus, we were under some arguably very bad ownership and they really could have taken us down.
I think as far as we go, we’re on the right track to develop young players and I see Pep doing that too with his Man City squad.
Ben Chilwell is a good example of coming straight through the youth set up and Harry McGuire is a good example of a player coming from the lower league.
But the cycle I see seems to be money spent big on players from abroad that are not quiet the finished articles, and when they have bettered, the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid come for you like a Bumble Bee to Honey.
Maybe there were a lot more variety of better players in the Premier League 10-15 years ago compared to now, and many sadly have faded away from ageing or just being out of favour.

Nice paid Bank Holiday, and it’s raining and I don’t plan on doing much as everything is done in and around the house, albeit the garden, but that can wait till I buy the Karcher, hahaha.
See what’s on TV, and this afternoon, it’s the Championship 🙂

Never heard of MEN, in my whole life.
It seems from what I have read on here, there’s bias and an agenda.
If we are talking about the media, I have not heard anybody talking City down at all this season. They were on Pep’s case a bit last season, but he’s answered them perfectly this season and they’re on the brink of winning the title.
I wonder then what MEN would choose to write about then.
