Man City currently out of the Top 4 as it stands as Chelsea lead Villa by 2-0.

28th November 2024 at 10:21 pm in reply to: Champions League New Format and First Phase Matches #216613Yeah, only really caught the tail end and seen Forster pull off a really vital save only for the equalizer moments late. Real shame and feel for Spurs.

26th November 2024 at 11:31 pm in reply to: Champions League New Format and First Phase Matches #216590I’m not sure whether this was during the Covid Lockdown season, but Liverpool went on quite a bad run and just lost the ability to even do the basics. I remember a certain Klopp expressing “we will sort this”.
Never seen this with Man City for over a Decade. Something Unique.

Sean, my work mate on Saturday prior to even kick off was gunning for Cooper to be sacked; he’s passionate about Leicester and he had enough of him; as of my other mate who went to the game.
Consensus being is the fear of going straight back down which Leicester wouldn’t be able to afford to do so given the prospective loss of Revenue from TV Deals and Gate.
Football’s not been pretty served by Cooper.

Leicester sacked earlier this evening Steve Cooper; rumour is that they want Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He won all his games when temporarily in charge of Man United.
Ruben’s merely landed and he’s going to need Time and Patience from all Quarters.
Probably today was about the sizeable job he has on his hands. He’s digging deep for his RECEIPT 😉

Zobo and Salah Man Of The Match with Salah getting us out of Jail.
3 Points out of St Mary’s, Thank Goodness.
Painful Watch at times, but ultimately, we came good 🙂

Bradley starting for us. Good starting line up. Lallana faces us; that will be interesting. Need a good first half performance from us. Saints will be up for this.

That’s it Sean, things can change mate. Teams can beat each other and it’s probable of us losing a couple of matches before reaching February. Everton usually raise their game against us at Goodison. Newcastle and Spurs honestly will be tough and soon, people will talk about Top 4, than the Title so things can change fairly soon and quite easily.

Yeah, same observation Chucks. Paced out by Werner. I’m not sure whether it’s down to injury-recovery re Walker, but has been affected. Pace is his strongest quality, bit like Ashley Cole back in the day.
Diaz being missed, but maybe it’s all the chopping and changing Pep’s been maybe forced to do. It seems too the formations created are more leaned towards accommodating Haaland.

Yesterday encapsulated Tottenham. They are one of the prettiest to watch with their slick football. Their fans know though that realistically, they’re not going to come away with all the Silverware, but at the very least deliver experiences and special moments.

The task we can I’m sure all agree on is defending their PL Title will be harder. Weird compared to previous seasons the pattern in the number of defeats as early in the first 12 matches of the campaign and almost a third of the season gone.
The Xmas period etc will be an interesting time for many. Chelsea are coming on nicely and should be included at least for Top 4 material. Gunners bounced back.
Liverpool have to play Newcastle and Spurs away soon, so better for them to focus in securing points on the less tougher opposition.
City at the moment have a multitude of problems brought to surface. Weird how Pep signed an extension, but you feel that maybe, his reign is coming to an end. All these chapters open into analysis and deep thinking, but then one positive result can wipe this out and before we know it, City back on track to win everything available to them.

MAV, Thank You Mate. No Easy Ride Tomorrow. Tough League.
I don’t think 3 Defeats Re Man City means a great Deal in Context; it’s just the whole unfolding in circumstances.
First Match Mate Under Amorim at Portman Road. No Andy Cole Mate Haha 🙂 🙂 😉
