Martinelli’s definitely a forward. Sterling in example and Havertz are wingers me believes as their natural playing position. Goals elsewhere have a little bit dried up along with confidence and swagger and no doubt, the absence of Saka is felt.

I never liked the notion “false number 9”. When I watched football for example in the 90s, there was actual Strikers set up to purely focus on putting the ball in the net. Granted, there was some the would place themselves deep and go out of their way to make things happen, but this subject repeatedly comes up when Arsenal struggle.

This was surprising, but a good thing that Moyes is regarded and selected regardless of his age and I like this in football.

Everton to be fair to them recently were unexpectedly picking up good results, but the club looking at the bigger picture this part of the season have obviously acted on assessment and of course, they want to preserve their top flight status.

I am very happy not only just because of our win and scoreline, but seeing the squad utilized the way it was and although the scale of opposition of course is effectively land and sky, you’re still playing 11 men at the end of the day and want to also give other players playing opportunities with the scope to be able to use them to either refresh the first 11 or when there are injuries and suspensions.

Wouldn’t mind bringing in Livramento and a quality center half. I’m not quite sure what Slot’s position is on certain players. I think he just wants to ease them in with some and with others, just extra strands of re-enforcements.

Wouldn’t mind seeing both Elliot and Macca together with Gravenberch. Curtis is technically good, but lacks the physical strength.

Don’t know what went wrong with Ali as he actually was our best player of the night. Van Dijk relies on Ali’s presence and leadership qualities. The other defenders like Bradley, Quansah and learning, but Kostas really should be challenging Robbo for Left-Back.

I just checked the player injury list. I thought we had more than 3. Gomez will be back early Feb. Zobo had an illness and Quansah is in the same bracket.

Lots of matches played and this obviously places huge demands. Zobo hugely missed. Him Grav and Macca best combination. The guys who have returned from injury apart from Jota maybe are lacking and time more minutes to get back into the groove.

Trent made an impact yesterday. If a player puts in a shift at the very least, I’m not interested the speculation surrounding his future, all I’m concerned about is his commitment so no issue and all good.

Just obviously concerned going off the boil a bit and dropping off, but I’m confident Slot and his team have it them to reset the guys. We’re in a first class position as far as CL goes and a very good one as far as the Prem goes.

A Booster Jan signing would be great, but here’s hoping.

I remember having a conversation with Nine on here (a few years back) about the finals being left at a 3pm Kick Off and no other football match other than the Scots Cup Final should take place. Over time, traditions and the day/event being exclusive has somewhat been lost. Definitely not the same as it was in the 80s and 90s.

I know obviously the CL is the biggest prize, but the last few finals have reflected Prem Winners and the well-known successful teams winning it so from that point of view, the fans should feel secure knowing that this competition is still meaningful

On the Ref decisions, personally, I don’t have a complaint as such as I think the Ref tried to balance it out. The obvious problem that was the consequence was this leading to a goal, but all good and we didn’t deserve to win on the night anyway.

I am happy with the new VAR Delivery with the audible is transparent to the Stadia. Good call too.

Couldn’t get on the Website last night; lol was shattered though and slept through even Talksport 😀

My thoughts overnight haven’t changed and I pretty much add to what I was thinking at half-time. Ange really was the more determined manager and Robust so credit to him first off.

I genuinely like Spurs’ new Keeper, a breath of Fresh air. I love Alisson and Respect him for everything he’s done, but I am wanting to see now new blood and Jaros in action. I think Kelleher will move on and I also feel for him sort of being pushed to one side after stepping in for Alisson and playing his part to guiding up to the Top both the PL and CL.

Liverpool can be bullied and beaten it just goes to show. We lack a Center half and and Additional Midfield with Physical Strength and Pace.

I have put out on these type of platforms not to get too sucked into what has been achieve so far. The test is the second half of the season.

No doubt this is a Wake up call for Liverpool. Good job we have a Cup game this Sat so many of our regulars can be rested. I’ve been saying, Respect these opposing teams because they are not playing with any fear which is what makes this league the most competitive and the best.

Well Done Tottenham and hopefully a Springboard. Second Leg, should be Super Exciting 🙂
