I’m struggling to watch games devoid of any atmosphere, it’s made me realise how important the fans in the ground are . I’ve started to watch games got bored and changed channels something I wouldn’t dream of doing normally, I can’t see full grounds in 2021 and that thought is feckin miserable.

Sean, Spurs do have a transfer fund but Levy is pleading poverty to get cheaper deals even after posting world record profits of £113m , to see Chelsea backing Frank to the tune of £200m+ is tough to take.My phone has been non stop since the game finished all say the same get rid of Jose & get ENIC out .

Adlab, when Eriksen and Dele were at their best they created so much for us and Kane was excellent , we no longer have a creative MF to supply the forwards and does it show !!! Unless we get one Mr Spurs will be looking elsewhere and I wouldn’t blame him

Sean , Jose is his own worst enemy in his team selection, where were the attacking MF’s who’s creating any chances, or does he expect the forwards to track back , create the chances and score them , that was shit no two ways about it.
Hopefully Levy will get rid of him asap, or he faces losing Kane, Sonny etc, we have sold players and never replaced them all the other top teams have strengthened we will at best be mid-table this season.
I’d sell Davies, Aurier, Winks, Dele, Sissoko, Dier, Lamela and try and buy someone like Grealish who can create things.

Congratulations Everton,very impressive especially their MF some real quality in there,outplayed Spurs from the first to the last minute.
When will our useless stubborn manager learn to play a creative midfield not 4 across the back then 2 defending the back 4 then a fucking great gap to the forwards, it’s going to be a long shitty season, that’s if Levy don’t sack him before Xmas.

I consider myself very, very fortunate to have many Jamaican/African mates in the road I was born , at primary and secondary school , going drinking/ clubbing and working who are still close mates today.
Most are now in their late 50’s or early 60’s & they and their kids still get stopped on the street, they still get blue lighted when driving for no apparent reason and still get abuse on the streets .
When that stops so should taking the knee.

Steve, Poch’s part was up to the CL final and the terrible start to the following season when Levy sacked him .I can see him coming back to Spurs in a few years time maybe sooner if Jose and Baldy fall out.

So far so good and I’ve enjoyed the first 3 episodes, still think he’s the wrong manager for Spurs but if he improves them as a team I’ll be happy.It was tough watching the bits about Poch though.

27, I can see a stack of injuries for clubs this season, Spurs as an example have 9 games in 20 days including trips to the back arse of beyond in the “How far away can we fuck… send them on a Thursday night cup”
Squad depth is going to be paramount to success this season.

Just seen that Mario Gotze is a free agent only 28 y/o a bit injury prone but must be worth a punt for Spurs.
If City or any team in the PL get Messi I for one will be more than happy to watch every game he plays.

Steveo, with Jose at Spurs yes, we don’t have that playmaker that all teams need . The problem with him ( or his agent) being he was so feckin sure RM or Barca were in for him that he stopped trying & to me he was the main man in Poch’s downfall, Jose wouldn’t stand for that. I guess if the rumours are true we have the money for one big signing if I was in charge I’d throw the kitchen sink at Dybala though we might have missed our only chance last season, if not Grealish now United have DVDB.

Adlab,being honest I know nothing about Bulgarian football apart from CSKA Sofia, but as long as Jose takes it seriously (which he should), I just hope for the best. We haven’t spent a lot but so far but the team has improved on the one that finished this last season, I hope for 3 more signings, striker, LB and CH .

I find it a bit strange that Spurs went in for Donny van de Beek , if, and it’s a big if they have that sort of money they should be using it for a LB,CH and striker not another MF an area we have players coming out of our ears. He will be a top signing for United,that’s some midfield PP, BF and Donny , going forward the front 6 is scary, if Ollie can get a couple of quality defenders in………. WOW.

That’s an excellent post Brian, which reminds me of the tales my Mum, Dad and Grandparents told me as a youngster . Sleeping in the tube stations, visits to Lyons Corner House, The Hammersmith Palais , Air raid shelters under their school and of course rationing which ended the year I was born.Life was simpler then and we have lost those times , I’m glad I’m not a teenager now, although I wouldn’t mind just one weekend.😁

Brian, thanks for your reply , my London is Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, Deptford, Peckham,Greenwich, Brixton Camberwell and all of The Old Kent Road ,not the most salubrious areas but filled with people and families I’ve known for nearly 70 years. Parts of London are unrecognisable and soulless which is a shame, but as you say it’s happening everywhere.
As you remember London during The Blitz a very good read is ” London made us” by Robert Elmes, a very sad story about how London was and now is , definitely worth a read .
