So they check the screen for that but not Kane?

The most important attribute a manager can give to a team is to get them up for the fight. Get in peopleβs faces, be aggressive. Gerrard has done that at Villa. Looks like Conte is doing it at Spurs too. No matter what the type of football played, being aggressive always gives you a chance. Liverpool were all over Spurs at times there but only takes a quick break to potentially undo us.

All over them like a rash.

How is that not a penalty?

Looks like a repeat of the West Ham game so far. Spurs very aggressive. Being aggressive is half the battle of winning a game.

Bielsa makes Rodgers look conservative.

At the moment the guidance seems to be how many players in a team drop out with covid. 2/3 players seems ok, but 5/6 and a game can get postponed which seems very unfair, and depending on *who* exactly drops out, it can hit a team more seriously. If this spreads as fast as they say, youβd think the wave will be over more quickly.

Just as well the World Cup isn’t until next November/December. May have to play through the summer again.

A match winner, as simple as that. Some of the angles he was able to squeeze a goal into were unbelievable. City still havenβt replaced him. Haaland potentially could.

Can’t believe he’s still using a translator. Can’t help.

No worries Sean. I think Brighton are good in possession, but then, that doesn’t guarantee them the win either. Brentford, like West Ham, are more physical and good at upsetting the teams during corners. The best tactic vs the big teams for me is to be aggressive and be up for the fight.

Sean, West Ham have the formula to beat the big sides. The big teams don’t like the opposition being physical, whilst they can also be exploited during set pieces, especially corners. West Ham also defended for much of the games but countered when they could. It’s all about keeping things tight and then having a go when the opportunity arises. The smaller clubs simply couldn’t go head to head with them on the attacking front.

As Gerrard alluded to, when playing the big teams it’s about staying level in the game until around 65 to 70 minutes, and then maybe having a go when the time is right and playing that calculated risk.

HH, it was indeed an outstanding achievement. But she’s barely started her career and the media have already put her on a pedestal. You may say that’s inevitable given what happened, but our media don’t half get obsessional about people, and I just fear for her as it’s very hard to keep your feet on the ground in such circumstances. I’ll be delighted if she’s able to stay grounded and have much more success to come.
As I say, if you only awarded the trophy every two years rather than one, I think it might not be a bad thing in that it may allow people to keep a bit more off the radar. But we love the celebrity culture now, so it won’t happen.

Indeed Lucky, I just hope she is able to stay grounded. But the pressure & build up at Wimbledon next year will be through the roof.

Probably Emma Radacanu for me. But I hate the hype the media puts on some of these people. Not saying she doesn’t deserve it on that list, but we’re too quick to dish out many of these awards and honours before people have even achieved a great deal. We seem to build people up to knock them down. I’d suggest it would be better to host it only every 2 years.

PSG vs Real. That’ll knock one of the big guns out.
