Well, that should extinguish any notion that Liverpool still have a chance of finishing 2nd.

Our attack can’t bail out our defending. That’s the problem this season.

So bad at the back this season. Though midfield not helping either.

It now just feels like a hangover season where we’re only running on 2 cylinders where half of our game is running OK, and the other half isn’t.

Nine, a huge problem now is the power of the players. We know it’s a players game now. Clubs can’t sack players in the way they can sack managers because of the financial hits they will take. So players have generally become untouchable and know the manager will always be the fall guy. Don’t know how you can reverse that culture other than big performance bonuses, but in a competitive market, you’ll struggle to appeal to players to sign up to that.

Always thought running penalties would come around sooner or later, initially for entertainment purposes like in the US. But as the video flags up, it may be less of a gimmick and more of a correction and so the idea could potentially gain more traction.

Just look at the gap between Haaland and the next player in this list, Michael Owen. Haaland really is not just one level above the previous best in the premier league – he’s multiple levels above.
πRECORD BREAKER
Erling Haaland becomes the 1st player in @premierleague history to score a hat-trick in 3 successive PL home games

I wonder what Haaland’s value now is?

Haaland is an absolute sensation. He will shoot City to the title easily, and most probably the CL too.

Haaland hasn’t scored yet. That’s got to be concerning for City π

Football should be a place where people take a break from all things political and feel united. I’d just ban everything as Ed said. I think social media has exacerbated things.

The last constant. Always duty bound, always dignified. So very sad. May she rest in peace.

I fear its more than that Brian. Players are starting to look and sound a bit fed up to me.

Rumoured to be a 5 year deal. No manager has lasted more than 5 years at Chelsea since…checks notes…Dave Sexton was appointed in 1967.

I think inevitably managers get into a groove of playing the way that’s brought them success previously, and there’s a lot of inertia there for them to suddenly stop and change things. Undoubtedly, the injuries and poor form of quite a few players has had a significant impact. But Klopp clearly has big problems to solve and is going to have to change something.

Adlab, I think things are fizzling out with this team. As I said on the other thread, I think when you fire up a team as a manager, it now has to be that intense, that teams and managers struggle to sustain it over the years and unless you’re able to regularly chop and change, it’s hard to maintain.
This could now start to get very serious indeed for Klopp.
