Would it be fair to say that most of the outright US owned clubs in the premier league have generally been poor? I think a problem is they apply their own game to the premier league and expect similar results.

I know what you mean and man management has never been his strength, but he’s very good tactically and bringing order to a team which is what you need down there. At Everton he probably did the best he could with that team but the fans were never going to embrace him when the results were difficult.

Tactics is all about discipline for me. The best coaches practice so much on systems and where players have to be that it becomes second nature to them. You also look at the players that managers seem to love and it’s because they always follow the managers instructions to a ‘t’. Remember Sven saying to Hamamn at City years ago that he was always in the right place at the right time. Similar probably applies to the likes of Henderson & Mount today, even if fans don’t obviously see it.

This season, when we’re good, we’re very good. If we could have just spread all that was good in those handful of performances over more games, we’d at least have had a good shot at top 4.

Sean, indeed. Kind of reminds me of our run under Rodgers in 13/14. Very rarely do you see a team who have been out the CL for a while go from 5th to 1st in one season, particularly when you’re up against this City team. Be a tremendous achievement if they do, but City look ominous now right behind them as Tiger Woods used to look at his peak when he sat just a few shots behind going into the final round.

The problem for Arsenal for me is that they are over achieving this season which raises expectations on them I’m not sure they can handle. City can. That’s the difference, and will probably make the difference in the end.

We know the well talked about issue of the defence and the midfield. Thing us, weve bought some forwards in recently and bar the established Salah, I don’t see any of them who can *guarantee* goals. But I doubt we’ll be bringing in any more forwards in summer.

Well, we’ve at least maintained our good record at home. Why the team fails to perform away from home needs analysis. Yes obviously some teams sit back at Anfield, but it still doesn’t say much of the character in it if it disappears when away.
