A bit of complacency nil, but you’d still expect us to win now. Just frustrating we’ve not been able to put a run together this season, until the very end.

Typical this. We’re probably the form team in the league now. Only taken us until the end of the season to get it together π

Either Newcastle or Man Utd would pretty much have to have a collapse AND Liverpool would need a near perfect run in. Very unlikely. But whilst it’s still possible we’ll no doubt tease ourselves there’s a chance.
That said, 4 of our 6 remaining games are at home (home form is very good), leaving Southampton & Leicester away. You see what you’ve done Lucky. Teasing myself already π

Some goal scorers must be top priority for Utd in the summer? One of the lowest goals for in the top half of the table.

Think Everton could be done for this time. Huge game at Leicester for them.

Think Everton could be in real trouble if they lose this.

Well Lampard has arguably screwed himself by taking a job he just isnβt capable of. Should never have left Derby. Gerrard should never have left Rangers for Villa. Potter shouldnβt have left Brighton for Chelsea. Compare to Eddie Howe who bided his time and waited for the right opportunity at a bigger club but without instant expectations on him.
I do think a problem is English managers donβt tend to go abroad to expand their game which would also provide them with better opportunities for example to go to a CL club but without necessarily having huge expectations on them.

Both parties are getting screwed.

Indeed Ed. Thing is, if Arsenal are now supposedly coming to fruition after building for a number of years, they’re still concededing too many goals. In fact Chelsea have conceded fewer goals than them this season.
Compare to Newcastle who have been building up over a much a shorter time frame and they have the best defensive record in the league, look to have secured top 4 very quickly, and arguably look more primed than Arsenal to kick on next season.

If Chelsea hampered Lampard’s managerial career the first time around, they’ve pretty much killed it the second time around. Like Gerrard he needed to go down a league or two, not have another hash at it.

I agree Ed. Arsenal could have afforded to drop a few points but to draw three on the trot going into the City game ain’t the hallmark of champions.

“Good performance by Liverpool so far. Feels like theyβre starting to find their way.”
Only taken us until matchday 32 to get there Ed π. Though I really wouldn’t worry about top 4. You or Newcastle would have to have an absolute mare now to lose it.

Yup, the inevitable happening in the title race. Arsenal running out of steam, City now primed.

Lampard really is having a mare.

In a parallel universe, Roman remained in charge at Chelsea, didnt spend all those millions on those players in January, would have sacked Tuchel at the end of this season, and put Luis Enrique in charge in the summer.

Has an interim manager ever been sacked before?

Well that pretty much seals top 4 for Newcastle & Man Utd. From Liverpool’s point of view I’d rather stay out the EL places but with Spurs imploding ahead of us we start rising up into them now π

Strange for 2 big clubs, Spurs & Chelsea, to sack their managers but actually get worse.

Mahrez is a fabulous player, can always be relied upon to deliver something in a game.

A spirited comeback but that’s 3 in 9 for Arsenal with City next.
