How many times this season have Liverpool just not been clinical enough? Vs Arsenal away, vs Chelsea away, vs Man Utd away, vs Everton away. In many of the CL group games. Thereโs a problem there. It needs addressing in the summer.

Well that’s that.
Klopp’s dire record in big games continues.

Paid the price there. We were drifting and needed some changes. You can’t drift in a game like this, you get punished.

Bobby on second half should help.

Tis a bit of a makeshift lineup that, but if Firmino isnโt deemed fit enough to start weโre limited on our options. And vs Barca in the Nou Camp, Klopp was always going to air more on the side of caution. Hopefully Keita can resume his good form.

Barca looked very shaky at the back at Old Trafford, to the extent where a better team could have scored a couple against them. At the same time, at home, Barca have always been very strong in the CL, this season scoring 15 and conceding just 2 there.
In light of that do Barca try and win the tie tonight and go for it? Given we are much more balanced side than last season, we should better cope with such things. Tempted to say we can win tonight (which we can) – but should aim for a professional job – nothing too bold, just play our game and get the job done. Bit like Ajax last night.

Spurs need to make the most of these last 10 minutes.

Ajax need another goal if they really want to stamp their authority on the game.

That break with the injury disturbed Ajax’s flow.

There is a perfect set up at Ajax – look what happended when Frank de Boer, who won several titles with Ajax, left – he lasted at Inter for 85 days, and Palace for 77 days. The set up and the manager both have to be right.

One of the best teams I’ve seen play in this opening 15 mins and what a goal.

Ajax very strong in possession. Look like the home team at the moment.

Agree Nine, was just thinking this the other day – only when they’re gone will those players really be missed and people will realise just *how* good they were.

Nine, I donโt doubt that from the perspective of the fans, they are in a dream. But I donโt think the manager should be in a dream, particularly whenโs he not yet won anything. Would a winner like Fergie/Mourinho/Conte etc be coming out with things like this? Itโs too nicey nicey for me.

Poch says he is โliving his dreamโ in the press conference. That really the best message to convey before their biggest game in a long time?

I think the difference between Liverpool and City is Aguero. He is the definition of a match winner. You look at that finish in the game vs Liverpool at the Etihad and it was just incredible. He almost always finds a way, and no surprise yesterday he was the one who edged City to the win. Incredible player who, maybe itโs just my perception, doesnโt seem to get lauded in the same way other players do.
