For me, the acid test of a number nine is how confident you feel when they’re through one on one with the goalkeeper. Most world class strikers will finish such chances, indeed you pretty much know they’ll score.

I think Jose has undoubtedly instilled his mentality into the Spurs team now. But do they have enough matchwinners in the squad to win the big trophies? I know they’ve signed Bale but is the fact he didn’t feature today not telling that Jose doesn’t trust him yet? Also he’s been injury prone for sometime now. I’d just worry the most exciting part of Bale’s story this season was the day he resigned. If Spurs had got the Bale of old, you really could see them doing something special this season.

I can’t work out Man Utd & Solksjaer at the moment. Would anyone do better with this squad? There’s clearly still something there and the players are clearly playing for him. Best now to keep him there until the end of the season and give a new man money then?

Agree with that Sean. Origi is basically a cult player now still running on past big goals. He offers us very little now and is no where near the quality we need.

Quite like Shaq, but his injuries don’t seem to be helping.

As for Keita, is he ever going to be able to play a run of games now? Again, we need someone who is more reliable.

Suspect Jürgy will have to dip into the market after Christmas.
