Nil, as regards Henderson, I have to say when Thiago has played for us (so far) the player he has most reminded me of in the team is Henderson. I think culturally such players are more admired on the continent.

Fabinho a very good reader of the game. My main concern with him has always been his pace, but perhaps at CB without a very high line, thatโs not as big a concern.

Funnily enough Mak, he also lived close to me when he was at Utd.

Agree Mak, I admire people with such principles and he sacrificed everything because he was looking at the long term and fire a shot against the FAI to wake them up. Ashame because it was a crazy World Cup and Ireland may have got even further than they did, but as I say, the longer term was more important.

Just out of curiosity Mak, what were you thoughts on Keane leaving that World Cup? Stupid move or one you respected him for?

Already looks a dead man walking Ed. As you said, bit crazy to give him the Arsenal job as his first job.

Arteta using the โthis is footballโ excuse. Oh dear.

Kelleher, although young, has always looked a very cool head in the games I’ve watched him. Big call but Klopp clearly trusts him ahead of Adrian.

Mak, Alisson not in squad. Kelleher starts.

Agree Ed. Iโd actually argue Arsenal lost that game before a ball was kicked. Arteta in his prematch interview said โWe can win thisโ as though he was responding to Arsenal being underdogs, and so he effectively admitted that they were underdogs, something an Arsenal manager should never admit, particularly in a north London derby.

Neville making the same point I was saying the other day – the on field referees needs to be more assertive rather than just following Stockley Parkโs thoughts. Itโs the best way to turn the tide on all this. Leadership is desperately needed.

Another great goal. Spurs looking very steely, and very effective on the counter. Jose still one of the best and I think Spurs will probably have one of their best seasons.

Funny, all those years people crucified Wenger. Theyโd probably would have had better seasons in recent years had he stayed. Thatโs not to say he didnโt have flaws, but if you were to get rid of him you would have had to find someone better than him, and Arsenal simply havenโt.

Problem is Adrianโs confidence is going to take a hit if Klopp is now overlooking him. Kelleher is young but doesnโt look phased by anything, so maybe stick with him. But as I said over summer, we really ought to have brought in a better no.2. Adrian was effectively a panicked last minute signing a year ago when Mignolet left and we were suddenly without any experienced cover. A club of our status now should be doing better than that.

Man Utd at least have some kind of game plan that is effective a lot of the time hence the players can buy into it, even if it isn’t always successful. That’s keeping Ole alive. But at what point do they make the change?

Yeh, looking at the Chelsea squad that won the CL in 2012 was almost a first port of call – and I assumed the GB Olympic team covered the other bases.
