So to clarify raising the Reality Check a year ago against Utd, supporting a Scottish minor team rather than a bank rolled a London team and applauding a team that beat your second team which is Spanish, regardless of many cheap digs hidden behind emojis, gets me off your Christmas card list…. I care not…
I thought this thread was meant to be unpopular views??
I personally believe that had Spurs got more strength in depth off the bench, they wouldn’t have put a probably concust player immediately back into play, or within a week…
They protesth too much for my liking
Sorry if you don’t share my call on Spurs compromised integrity with the target of their first Champions League Final, I’m big enough to cope..

Can’t win with you nine…last time I was too anti Utd… I thought it was clearly typed good luck Spurs?!! Yes I do admire Klopp, Liverpool’s current squad and Anfield on nights like this as apose to plastic versions….. Sorry I don’t share your likes or dislikes?
What was equally clear during the first 45 mins yesterday was yours and Chubbys constant pro Spanish team digs at LFC…. shame the British team won
Re read your posts and celebrate British teams succeeding against bank rolled opponents.
What do you need to know about my team Ross County fella…Ask away_____________________________

Pochettino should be honest that his player was concussed and shouldn’t be playing tonight!
Salah looked in better shape…._____________________________

Haha
If anyone needs entertaining after that, read back through the last 2 hours of Chucky Mc Cubbies posts ??????
This Clown called Liverpool a 70’s team… Look how many posts he made in the first half, still convinced Barca would win…..Sorry bitter Chubster back to whispering in the corner pal…HUGE congratulations to Anfield, LFC fans globally and come on Spurs despite your ODD idiot supporter!

Contrary to McChubbies Spurs myopia I still think LFC are in with a good chance of doing something truly remarkable at a fanatical Anfield on Tuesday. A goal to Liverpool in the first half and it should allow an incredible slug fest which rarely happens at the top level.
As for Mc… credibility at viewing Liverpool as only Seventies team utterly undermines his credibility. Bitter nonsence buddy?!!
If Spurs or any other team had this history:Football League First Division (18 titles)
1900–01, 1905–06, 1921–22, 1922–23, 1946–47, 1963–64, 1965–66, 1972–73, 1975–76, 1976–77, 1978–79, 1979–80, 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84, 1985–86, 1987–88, 1989–90European Cup (5 times)
1977 (Rome), 1978 (London), 1981 (Paris), 1984 (Rome), 2005 (Istanbul)UEFA Cup (3 wins)
1973, 1976, 2001 (Dortmund)
The 1973 and 76 finals were played over two legs.European Super Cup (3 wins)
1977 (Hamburg), 2001 (Monaco), 2005 (Monaco)FA Cup (7 wins)
1965, 1974, 1986, 1989, 1992, 2001, 2006League Cup (8 wins)
1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1995, 2001, 2003, 2012Charity Shield/Community Shield (15 wins)
1964*, 1965*, 1966, 1974, 1976, 1977*, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1986*, 1988, 1989, 1990*, 2001, 2006Not counting Champions League finals in 2018,2007 Europa final in 2016 and currently with a game to go in the league with 94points.
If your jealousy allows you to overlook the pride this team has brought the UK or how special at European night at Anfield has been on numerous occasions then simply don’t watch this Tuesday.
However, most true football fans will watch this along with the other matches this week and if Salah and Firminho are available then with that special Stadium, anything could happen and I for one can’t wait…._____________________________

Ok compelled to correct Chubby Mc…. whatever he calls himself…
I think all 4 English teams are still in for making the European finals. Great chance of Europa trophy “coming home” and if Spurs find the courage they showed in the second half against Ajax, with Son back, they can definitely beat them!
Liverpool is an interesting one. No doubt as Mak says, LFC and Spurs have built squads over the last few years by selling and buying well whilst bringing through their own talent and training their squads to understand the managers desire. Different to the outlays shown in the net spend table by City, Utd and Chelsea.
Take Kane, Firminho, Son, Gomez, Ox Chamberlin long term out of squads and it leaves bigger gaps than City’s purchase of 2 first teams…_____________________________

Respect to you Ed’s.
Will do but that’s me out of this thread, since I mean no offence.Best of luck to all the English teams in Europe, this week….Even as far North as this, it’s great to share British teams pride in playing the best of Europe with belief they can win!
If they attack I believe they will win…

Many thanks Nines….
Exciting season of honest graft on a shoe string, puts us back at Ibrox, Celtic Park etc…Honestly, not overly interested or bothered about Man U’s future, but it’s precisely what this thread is about. When their supporters were convinced all was going in the right direction and belittled others. Mourinho was the sideshow for a club rapidly heading in the wrong direction, despite deep pockets…An epilogue to a current global game, luckily huge numbers of fans still find huge happiness from following the clubs/managers outside the spot lights.
I take your point fella and intend no offence to the “down to earth” fans of this site..just felt my original point was dismissed, so re visited it at 4 month staggers to see how everyone’s predictions worked out…No more for me on this thread I promise! Too busy enjoying dreaming of next seasons challenge.
Peace and happiness all.._____________________________

Haha… Editor….
If I haven’t mentioned my team once, how do you know who I support?!
They are the fellas raising their leagues trophy last night..sorry for the delayed response. Head full of whisky.
Although I suspect by your mealy mouthed dig, you still doubt their my team because I made the point, you chose to ignore, I couldn’t recognise a spine to your future team.
Your answer, along with a lot of putting down other teams and managers was:
Spine this squad:
De Gea
Bailly Smalling
Pogba McTominay/Matic
LukakuOur survey says…..?
Your choice to keep Mourinho rather than rebuild with Benitez or Pochettino is exactly in my opinion why Man U, now find themselves in such a dire situation….Arrogance and ignorance in equal measure demonstrated by all connected with the club…A year on almost to the day of a “reality check” I think most fans feel differently about ALL aspects of your club. The days of short term, spending your way out of this, are probably over.
If you need further evidence of my heroically managed “community club,” I get a picture holding Monday’s triumphant back page of the local rag, outside the ground, on my way to work on Monday morning!

So “tongue in cheek” dramatic “do a Leeds” statement aside.
The reality check I requested, this time last year, with Mourinho and established Utd fans/editors boasting about 2nd in the league and 2 trophies…. How far off was I in hindsight?!! Compared to the replies from the “knowledgable.”Wage structure out of control and attempt to spend their way out for short term “glory hunters.” No quotable spine of a team (look back at the answers given after repeated requests and how accurate they are less than a year on!)
Best players wanting out…. Mourinho orchestrating his own divorce settlement….Who was talking nonsense now??
Allegence like love, can make you blind! For me United greatest slice of luck is that Chelsea and Arsenal are so unsettled. what they do with this opportunity, starting with tonight’s game, will be good theatre for all fans of the beautiful game…

Hilarious Adlab.
We sympathise with you “losing your shit” after a team who’s been bankrolled to have a ludicrous advantage over 38 games, suddenly choking?!
Must be so annoying to have competition. Bad week for Brendan Rogers and Guardiola. Mere mortals with a preposterous advantage…up to now.Now we can really see the special ones…

Wrongo! Rafa would DEFINITLY get results out of the present UTD squad. Left to make signing of his own choosing, would do far better than last 3 Man U managers!

Hi Editor, Alfie…
Despite Man u’s “leveraged” financial imperialism…
How’s your confidence in it’s future success?
Same questions… Who’s the spine of this team (DeGea player of the season, most seasons.. coincidentally asking for £400k a week.. Ha I must be a visionary…Lingard therefore must be £300k a week surely??
And the players queuing up to join a team that might scrape a UEFA slot
Will be second tier but asking “ Messi” wages…Response now gents?!
Please please keep the Grinch as your manager and continue to spread your football wisdom…
Merry Christmas footy fans ! ?

Not gloating, just asking. The chaps who staunchly rebuffed my reality check of Utds direction back in the “heady days” of April….
Thoughts now?For me, it’s irratreviable with Mourinho. It’s probably passed the point of retaining or encouraging (even with massive wages) the right calibre for an immediate, sustained recovery.

Jim..Opinion…
Mourinho is in his calculated “distuctive” period. Often 3 years… He’s bright enough like a serial devorcise to play off his best assets= big tits and blonde hair or apparently unique achievements at Porto and Milan.
On a similar vein he works out the cash flow of his “sugar daddy.”
If he foresees anything but a clear run at the top 2 squads, he creates an intolerable situation that necessitates his future wage/divorce + half house and pension immediately, which apparently was Chelsea twice, Madrid and now !an Utds fault….”Next!” Lucrative business playing this game for an elite few! For a while…
Of course Man U board will find £300mill for the next Man U manager…If in doubt keep digging or else your share price, bubbble bursts…Like me owning a £60k car on PCP or buying a 3 year old car outright…
Your all bright boys..you can see what’s really going on here…Clearly Pogba wants out too..

Fair points Alfie…respect
Just wanted to raise the subjects of Mourinhos modus operandi, Utds positioning of a club with a rapidly escalating wage bill based on short term fixes and the smoke of the two trophies won and 18 points off the leaders meaning all was heading in the right direction.
I still feel vindicated of the view in April that all was not well at Man Utd or Mourinho.
Here in September I think things will get worse before they get better.
The dilemma of possible future talent wanting to leave or not play to there best and no visible sign of the spine of 6 players who will stay that they build around to compete with the best in Manchester/North West never mind Europe. That’s before a new manager comes in an starts the process again. Whilst other teams are solidifying with 1 or 2 additions each season.
It’s going to be a long EXPENSIVE climb back to the top of seriously competing for PL or CL.
Considering the debt leveraged against Man Utd. This isn’t necessarily going to happen quickly!
I’m sorry if this ruffles Pro Mourinho or Pro Man U feathers, but the evidence of the route they have taken over the last 3+ years is there to see, for anyone who chooses to see it..
Peace “respect!”_____________________________

Alfie I’ll reply and for the record my original statement was inflammatory and worded to draw opinion and discuss behaviour traits of Mourinho and Man U, rather than 100 % accuracy of outcome! Surely you can see that?
Lets disect that to see how accurate it is, shall we?
The final episode of the,3 yearly Maureen cycle. He sells off promising youth (Martial, Rashford only 2 at Man U!) Then his narcissism boils over in an attempt to get something in “history” to say he won. He sells the players he’s only just bought & the “player of the season” for god knows how many years, the goalie!! Sell him! I’d rate that as highly inaccurate. Would you agree? So his narcissism didn’t boil over a couple of weeks ago in his “respect” rant about his personal history?! So Martial and Rashford are both motivated first 11 players rather than Martial feeling slighted by the Sanchez deal and wanting out..Rashford’s development under Mourinho?
Highly inaccurate with Man U specs on..And buys every expensive player who’s ever won something including Neymar at £350 mill… That will push Lingard into £250 k a week bracket surely?! I’d rate that as highly inaccurate. Would you agree?
So you don’t think he tried or would have bought the likes of Ronaldo, Neymar, Bale as an immediate fix if the club trusted his judgement and could see the marketing benefits? I would say highly unlikely with Utd specs on..
IYour expansive list of players Mourinho has improved: Young, Lingard and McTominay. Matic, Fred, Lukaku, Bailly all play just as well as when he brought them. Would you agree?
Hahahaha Fred’s been there 10 seconds and has scored 1 goal. How you see Bailly as a better player than he was at Villarreal would require 2 pairs of Man U specs?? Really! Matic better than he was at Chelsea, Young better than he’s been over the previous 15 years??!I think as a Man U fan your having your “respect” melt down, and even if we only discuss this 3 times in 6 months, that’s far too much focus on the wealthiest club on the planet and a manager who chooses to live on the back pages….
