Nunez breaking the PL record for most hits off the woodwork in a single game. That is not even slightly shocking.
Look, I’m not annoyed with him though, he gave everything tonight and his assist was the result of determination and a perfectly weighted ball in. He’s so close to adding a hat trick to that but it’s just not to be for him yet. I have no idea how you turn those 3 shots into goals. As for some of his others, that’s another story I guess. Bradley with MOTM again.
Chelsea dispatched. Caicedo was flawless tonight. Much better there after he went off.
Although the game was so incredibly one-sided, I think Chelsea had an argument for 2 penalties. I think we might have been helped by the player’s histrionics. Something made the ref and VAR not even bat an eye at either anyway.
I don’t think it would have mattered much anyway. If we needed more goals, we’d have got them.
Nice to get the 3 points though. I think we have a long road of City wins ahead to match.

Nunez is nearly the best striker the PL has ever seen 😛

I think Jota might have taken it except that he was still walking off that tackle.
Nunez needed a goal but ya you couldn’t make that up. He’s hit the woodwork 11 times this season. That’s unreal._____________________________

They couldnt have shown worse angles of that incident if they tried but that looked like it might have been a penalty for Chelsea.

Alfie, good one.
That made me wonder, this must be the best-worst time for Utd fans. They get to see ₥₳₦¢H€$₮€₹ ¢I₮¥ get stripped of all their trophies and relegated so hard that they end up back in time in the Vauxhall conference, with Liverpool key players, manager and awesome backroom staff sailing off into the sunset._____________________________

“Not sure they feel it’s an attack on them but everyone has the right to defend their club Mak. I’m sure you’ll agree, as your previous histrionics on this site…”
Considering that I was actually hinting to Nil that he should look out for the feelings of other clubs supporters on here makes your attack on me a bit strange. Then the talk about histrionics is incredibly ironic, and you should probably go take a nap.
My histrionics are entirely historical, yours are right now.
First Man City fan who wants to talk about history to a Liverpool supporter. It had to happen some time._____________________________

9 years is 9 years man. I look very different to what I did when Klopp joined also.
Chucky, I do think it is him being knackered, but there are factors into what burns someone out and I think the City situation is a big part of it. He has surely had a few seasons where he’s wondering wtf he has to do to win the PL. 97 and 91 points, was it?Not gonna give out about it now, as there will be plenty of time for it, just think it’s a factor.
I just hope that we make one last big push because I think there is at least a very large chance that we’ll have years of very little after this. Of course we might hit the ground running on a new project but even Van Dijk has halted contract discussions until a new manager is appointed. That’s the start of it.Klopp is such a massive name in this world that him leaving could set us back to pre-FSG times.

CM, I have a Utd supporting friend who has drawn lines between this and when Fergie left. Back then, I was not a great fan of Fergie. We had so many years of him dominating the PL though, it was hard to appreciate him while he was still in the job. After he left it was different of course but when I’m learning now is how Utd fans felt when Fergie left. My friend has said exactly that and I see you saying similar. “That’s exactly what it was like when Fergie left”.
I get it now.
I wasn’t worried before that we might see a dip at some stage, which could cost us a title/challenge, but I feel a bit drained by it all, so what do the players feel? They are hopefully going to feel driven by a desire to compete for a PL trophy one last time under Klopp but how will they respond to a result not going their way?
I guess we’ll see.Man Utd are still lost post-Fergie, and we all know what that feels like for sure. Are we headed back there now after this season? I’m not being dramatic, I think it’s very possible. It’s a huge roll of the dice and we’re already falling down the deloitte league. In the link here, just look at Citys apparent income and ours. How has ours fallen that much? I don’t think that factors in the lack of CL football until next year, so wtf has gone on there?
City then, with no real global support worth talking about is making nearly as much as Real… ya, of course 😛
But, Spurrs are nearly upon us. How did we let that happen? 100 million supporters worldwide and we can’t get more money out of our brand? Next years will be about 80m less, so they’ll be ahead of us, and we’ll be trying to tell the next manager in that he can challenge for titles? Ya, we’re going to need to replace all the key areas of the backroom but you can do it.
We’re going to need another miracle, because all these years of Klopp’s miracle work has not given us any financial advantage over the likes of Spurs. All the CL runs, higher PL placings are meaningless now in terms of our revenue right now. I just don’t get it. Are FSG asleep at the wheel or what?

“If City have done wrong it will be shown whether it is true or not.”
It has been though and you’re all in denial. So, if you didn’t accept UEFA’s charges then why would you accept these ones?
If this were Liverpool, would I be saying “technically we’re innocent” and you’d be seeing the bloody obvious?
We don’t need to find anything else out to know for a fact that City are guilty. We only needs to see if they can get away with it. Are you interested in guilt, or in what they can get away with?

Well said CM.
Man City are not innocent. There is bags of rock-solid evidence out there. It just comes down to if they can get away with it via technicalities and that may legally be “not guilty”, but it is not innocent.
The only reason they can make any claim towards “not guilty” is because UEFA ran out of time when trying to punish them. That is the ONLY reason. It’s an uncomfortable truth for some City fans, who want to scream about how they are innocent until proven guilty… Ya, don’t expect much sympathy in that case, because it’s been an uncomfortable time for the rest of us, who’ve had to watch on as your club tainted the PL and the CL.
The PL really should have dealt with this sooner than 10 years after this all started. They are partially responsible for the desecration of modern football.
Something will have to be done though, regardless of who gets what blame. This will have to be set right. The joy of titles to Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal has been stolen but they can still set the record straight at least. Do that and let those clubs handle City in the courts. Obviously, they need to be banished from the PL too._____________________________

“So you think it’s okay to talk bollocks on an intenet forum Mak? Losing your shit over a rival team isn’t a good luck imho.Maybe some should listen to Sean’s wise words from teamtalk days.”
I’ve literally said the opposite but I guess if you want to just talk shit to someone for no reason, I’m your man.

It is a miracle that we challenged them as well as we did and that miracle continues until this summer.
I’m not going to write City off, not even close but we’#ve a great chance of doing it, one more time.
City having KDB back is going to make it even more difficult and maybe they will run away with it but I’m choosing to believe this time. All we have left is one last time. Let’s make it a good one!
