Liverpool are so bad. Im not cashing in tho.several Liverpool players are really bad so far today. Szobozlai is having his worst game but he’s not been amazing lately. Gravenberch is very quiet. Salah is having a poor game but he is salah… Nunez is the biggest worry for me, he’s a red card waiting to happen. that yellow was so daft.. Id nearly take him off not just because of that but he’s also done absolutely nothing. gakpo on at half time for him I think.
Elliott on 15 mins in then for Szoboslzai, if he cant raise his game.

My accumulator has gone well this weekend. It’s all on this game. They’re offering cashout for 211 euro, with 300 for Liverpool to win.

Chucky, it’s possible that what I heard is wrong alright.
Threeps, going back to what you said about Utd and intensity, dead on.
This is why wonder if an idiot that Keane is, he might be the man for them short term. This is the one game where Utd might find the drive but I said that last season too.
I don’t want them to raise their game for us, because it’ll only hinder us and it wont help them at all.I just don’t know why the Utd fans don’t demand something better though. I wouldn’t catch Liverpool if this is what they were still doing. Im not talking about bad results, Im talking about a sense of them going somewhere.
We’ve been through it ourselves and it was horrible but they have always had so much more money to spend than us, until recently.
They’;ve just been throwing it on a fire.
Just so weird and a cautionary tale too._____________________________

Utd and Newcastle going out int he group stages will basically guarantee that the PL gets 4 CL teams next season, instead of 5.
I am pretty annoyed by this. It’s going to be near impossible to ever turn that around, since they’ll be competing with a 5 team La Liga, with 4 PL sides from here on.
Idiots._____________________________

It’s a disgrace that Utd couldn’t manage 2nd in that group.
Maybe they do need to fire Ten Haag but after that, the core players have mostly got to go too.
for sale signs on the training ground. Clean house!_____________________________

12th December 2023 at 3:16 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211336I’ll try and remember that it’s totally ok to foul in order to stop a counter attack in future. The hendreds of yellow cards that I’ve seen for it in that past were all wrong.
as for no players calling for a yellow.. Ya, not a single palace player asked for a penalty either, and they were given one. what does that indicate? Not much sometimes, it seems!

It’s fantastic. I had a feeling Villa and Everton would win so I put ma few euro on the double and those bitter blue scumbags won be 90 euro profit.
Thanks clueshites! 🙂_____________________________

10th December 2023 at 7:20 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211325Lads… I just saw the incident that you’re no double talking about.
VAR checked that 2 legged stamp on Foden and they somehow think it isn’t a red card?
I don’t know when I’ve seen a more clear red card not given.
The VAR ref needs to be fired.Yer man lunges in and he had actually drawn his feet up to get a good stamp in too and they don’t see it?
That just really pisses me off. That is such an incredible level of incompetence._____________________________

Ya it’s pretty amazing. to see how the players settle in as we go will be interesting but of course the flip side of more matches played is more injuries. We’ve a brilliant first 11-15 or so but Im on the fence as to whether our squad has enough. Luck will play a huge part I guess.
Losing Matip is the kind of thing that I’m talking about, and we’ll likely have to replace him in January. There’s that south American lad that we are after. January is the perfect time to buy from there.
I don’t think we need to go after any other position really.
I know some people want us to meet a RB but that would mean that Trent is not used the way he is… Klopp isn’t gonna play Trent as a dedicated midfielder, it would ruin the bonuses that we get by utilizing him this way.I joked about us derping our way to the title but really, I’m not thinking about it and I hope to hear Klopp saying “we are focused on only the next game” from here on. I hope we hear it a lot, because that’ll mean we’re still winning those games in front of us.

9th December 2023 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211287Maybe, I just think that Keane might galvanize the place, as the OT fans would be extra loud for Keane, especially if he ever gestured towards them during a game etc.
I’m not saying that he’d work out BTW, just that I wonder if he’s a viable option. How about somewhere in between? Fire Ten Haag and hire Keane as interim. If the new lad comes in and wants to keep him great, if not then it’s grand cause no promises were made.

9th December 2023 at 6:32 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211283That’s a good point Nil. I mean Utd are in a desperate state with these players. Maybe it’s time for them to go mad and give Keane a go. He never fit in at lower clubs because he always expected away too much and he would probably fail, due to his poor temperament but he might be the man to sort the lads out. After a few months with Keane, you’d know who was willing to fight to stay at Utd and who should be on the market.
Have they anything to lose, because no manager will work out there until they clean the rotten apples out of the barrel.

9th December 2023 at 6:00 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211276Is this the time for the Utd ownership to turn around and tell the manager that he’s staying and that he can replace any players who don’t want to play for him?
Is he the man for that job?If he isn’t, then Utd have got to hire players to suit a system that they want the team to play, not players who Ten Haag wants for his specific purposes. They need to tailor their recruitment around the clubs now very webbed-over, dusty identity.
Sack the players.

9th December 2023 at 5:56 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211275I was out, so I wasn’t following things after our match. What the hell? That’s an absolutely wild scoreline. Did I read before that Utd can’t afford to fire Ten Haag?
I have a haunting feeling that they’ll find room in the ebooks tomorrow morning. This is terrible news for Liverpool, as we don’t need some new manager bounce nonsense.I guess I’ll have to see the highlights and read the synopsis but it sounds like TH has lost the entire dressing room now. That we are beyond the speculation. I just can’t see him being the manager for more than 24 hours. I hope I’m wrong.

9th December 2023 at 3:15 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211255BBC called it a “bad foul” and Sky said : “Ayew sent off, I think it was a second yellow. Elliott was about to pass the ball and Ayew clipped him”
I have a feeling that it’ll only be city fans who think it wasn’t a 2nd yellow 😛

9th December 2023 at 3:05 pm in reply to: Weekend Football – Gameweek 16 – Shocks and Surprises? #211252Ya, well you saw how the element of danger was back when Salah was moved inside. Darwin has not been good lately and although I called for him to start today, I think it’s time for him to be benched. It really is. He was so bad today. It isn’t just missing chances. He was offside so much today and they were all needless.
Palace definitely had the better chances. Alisson MOTM IMO but look at the other stats and you really get a picture of how it wasn’t just about us getting lucky at the end, we were dominant in most of the core ways, we were just playing it around too slowly to ever look dangerous. Maybe Nunez is a bit frustrated with this and is getting caught offside because he’s trying to run early and the ball is coming in too late every single time… but he does get caught off a lot, even when we are playing properly.
People on the other site used to give Elliott stick for his positioning, but you see it time and time again, he has a fantastic read of the offensive side of the game. it’s gonna sound weird to hear this but Szoboszlai could learn a bit from him, in that regard.
