Yeah nil I hate that too. Without even noticing it happening I realise I have now been trained not to celebrate. Instead of having that wicked release of emotion when the ball hits the net I now just stand up silently and pace back and forth until I know it is given.

Although we only scored 3 in last 100 games so ain’t been as much of a problem lately 🤣

Lol I got ticket to dortmund game week Tuesday, was expecting it to be the decisive game for potter but the way it’s looking he could be fired any second I can’t predict it.

What really pissed me off about our set up today is how we have utilised James.

I understand why out of possession we defend with back 5 because we have to manage spurs wing backs, that’s fine, but if you have decided to play with wingbacks then why the hell would you not go with James at right wing back rather than ziyech? We were playing James basically as an outside centre back and we already know how useless ziyech is at wing back, it’s been tried and tested.

The commentator mentioned earlier that this is chilwells 100th game in league for chelsea but only 23rd time he started with James, we all know they are amongst best wing back combinations in the world at their best and the issue is we haven’t seen it enough.

Now we have missed it because we a forced to chase lead and defend in back 4 so now while they are both getting forward we are vulnerable on counter.

So many issues to annoy at the moment but this really wound me up.

Nah wouldn’t want any game spoiled over that kind of nonsense. Stupid from ziyech, and Emerson like romero totally provoking it too which is equally as frustrating.

Ed, maybe but that would not be wise imo. What is happening at Brighton imo is more testament to their model as a club, the recruitment and the collective focus. If you do that right you will progress with a good coach, dont need a miracle worker.

Potter did a good honest job at Brighton and was exactly what they needed, but no less than the new guy is because he just carrying on the trajectory Brighton were on under Potter which was up, of course top 6 being a ceiling for any manager.

Contrast to Potter going in to chaos at chelsea where he has nothing close to the stability and infrastructure he left at Brighton and just as de zerbi is continuing as Brighton were going, Potter is continuing as chelsea were going and it didn’t get any less chaotic.

This season could have been too much for most managers to handle without getting burned to be fair to him.

I said start of Jan when top 4 was almost certainly out of reach that all that matters to me for rest of season is our performances rather than results.

Against dortmund I was happy with the performance despite the result.

There is nothing positive about today’s display, absolutely dreadful.

I won’t get involved in any debate regards our manager because I still think it’s pointless until summer, it would be even more embarrassing to spend over 50m on manager compensation in one season and finishing mid table. I am sure there are clauses based on league finish and I still maintain strongly that the summer is when the managers position should be assessed.

But I will say I expect a lot better from the players and coaching staff. Not demanding top 4, far from it, but there is no excuse for this level of performance at home to this level of opposition.

Banjo, first half was dreadful and saints had more chances and possession. Second half it changed as we pushed for equaliser and they tried to hold, but we rarely looked good. Did find a couple of good chances but there no composure or confidence in any of our front line.
