if I were pep I would have been losing my shit with happiness too after such a masterclass.
He had no control over emotions at the time they walked passed him, too much being made of it imo and I would defend klopp if he did same.

If it was that simple lukaku would have scored 20 plus goals and auba would have done OK too Sean.
Sure we need a striker though and as I said in my post above, Potter is far from the only problem.

67, we have no confidence in back 4 and our results improved going to a 3. We only had 2 centre backs yesterday and tuchel deployed James at CB too when needed.
I can understand that but we were nowhere near good enough on the ball to threaten.
City showed us how to play with 3 at back yesterday. It was back 4 out of possession with stones at right back but when they had the ball it was 343 like us except they had actually wingers in the wide positions. We had Ruben who us a little way off mahrez 😆 and chilwell who was very good but again no grealish.
On TT I made a thread before start of season saying that while it’s best for us to have 3 at back when we on the ball we won’t challenge city or pool until we can defend with 4 at back off the ball.

Rover, Potter is far from the only problem, we were destined for a bad season and I called that in the summer before we kicked a ball and tuchel was still in charge.
That being said I also expected some progress and we are even worse than I expected.
I think we will change before next season but will make 2 predictions,
1) our next manager will also fail in the majority of fans eyes
2) Potter will be doing well elsewhere when that happens._____________________________

Sean, we have overestimated the strength in depth of city squad imo.
If you look at it there is not anywhere near two players of equal standard for each role. Not to say they don’t have the best squad in terms of quality but take de bruyne and haaland out of the team they are not as strong let alone the 5/6 players you say it would take to weaken them.
The main players are below, include Rico lewis and kelvin Philips too if you want but let’s not pretend they are as good as first choice.

P.s Ed, that’s why it’s relevant to conte, while wage bill alone should not be used to judge a manager completely, it can allow you to argue rightly along these lines,
If a club has 5th highest wage bill, then its manager should not be criticised based on league position if the club finishes 5th or higher
That’s all it can be used for imo.
Of course conte still warrants a lot of criticism for his behaviour but that’s another thing altogether.
He behaviour makes less sense in my head because I thought all considered he could have left with head high in summer.
