Shiney, very impressive your spurs today mate, and while I appreciate your humility I would back spurs to finish above City. You can win as many as they do but won’t lose as many. Proper title contenders and enjoy every bit of it mate.

Nine, agree, foden way too good not to be starting. Few posters mentioned bernardo silva’s poor form relative to last year, wasn’t he mostly deployed at right wing when he first came to City? I have seen enough to believe foden much better suited to that central role with de bruyne than silva. Gundogan is a clever player but foden just as effective and unlike gundogan can only get better, if he plays that is.

You know for all the investment pep has had, and not ignoring the fantastic standards his team have reached, they seem to be no better than his first season right now, maybe a little weaker even to the counter.
Spurs can win the league. Maybe worth lamps bringing jorginho in alongside kante when we play them next week. Let kante track kane’s every movement and allow our defenders to focus on tracking the runs of son and who ever the other winger will be.

Pagan its the awarding of pens based on such black and white rules i don’t like. There is no doubt that the ball accidentally contacting Jesus arm led to goal today as that is what we saw and easy to rule out. But if the exact opposite happened to Jesus in his own box there is no reason to have believed that the accidental hand ball denied a goal scoring opportunity so awarding a penalty seems against the spirit of the game in those circumstances imo.
For penalty calls the law confuses me no doubt but I can accept calls like we saw with Jesus no problem.

Pagan, btw I know it is fine tuned for VAR but VAR or no VAR I don’t think goals can be allowed if ball meets arm in build up to goal whether deliberate or not

Why is Jamie redknspo acting like everyone is confused around the handball rule? In these situations the rules really couldn’t be clearer, if you touch the ball with arm in lead up to goal the goal is disallowed, what is contentious about that decision? Just unlucky but handball and correct decision

Great game this, spurs as good defensively as City are offensively, agree with nine only a poor goal separating things.
Spurs could get another on break as City are vulnerable, but I have seen many points lost by Jose teams that sit back on 1 goal leads and wouldnt be surprised if City level things.

Was listening to talk sport and Simon Jordan said to protect the national game they should be granted government loan to be paid back over 15 years with prem covering interest. Not sure if that is possible but if it was it could put the future if the EFL in its own hands, which for better or worse would be a more favourable option for most it seems.

Anyone have any new albums to recommend? could do with some new music.

Nike you are spot on there and that bit didn’t twig with me until you mentioned it, of course the pre season extension is for extra money in overseas tournaments and friendlies. More time to prepare for season? Yeah right!
